Two novel metal-organic complexes [Cu4(2,2'-bipy)4Cl4 (Hima) 4].4H2O (1), [Co2(H2Pimdc)6(H2PDA)3].6H2O(2)(Hima=1H-imidazole-1-acetic acid, 2,2'-bipy=2,2'-bipyridyl, H2Pimdc=2-propyl-4,5-imidazoledicarboxylic acid, H2PDA=1.4-Phenylenediacetic acid) have been synthesized and characteristic by IR spectrum, elemental analysis, cyclic voltammetry, single-crystal X-ray diffraction. X-ray structure analysis shows that complex 1 is a one-dimensional chain polymer and complex 2 is zero-dimensional, and then complex 1 becomes three-dimensional via hydrogen bonds and π-π stacking interactions, and complex 2 becomes three-dimensional only by complicated hydrogen bonds. Four metal-organic coordination polymers, [Zn(L1)2(L2)2]n(1), [Cd(L1)2(L2)2(H2O)2]n(2), [Ni(L1)2(L2)2(H2O)2]n(3), and [Co(L1)2(L2)2(H2O)2]n(4), (L1= 4,4,bis(1-imidazoly)biphenyl, L2= 5-amino-2, 4, 6-triodoisophthalic acid) have been hydrothermally synthesized and characterized by elemental analyses, IR, TG, PXRD, luminescent properties and single-crystal X-ray diffraction. X-ray structure analysis reveals that1is a 2D coordination polymer, while2,3, and4are 1D coordination polymers. Two Zn(II)-containing complexes based on fluconazole, {[Zn(HFlu)2(IPA)]·9H2O}n(1), {[Zn(HFlu)2(OH-BDC)]·8H2O}n(2) (HFlu = fluconazole; 2-(2,4-difluoro- phenyl)-1,3-bis(1,2,4-triazol-1-yl)-propan-2-ol; H2IPA = isophthalic acid; OH-H2BDC = 5-hydroxyisophthalic acid) have been synthesized and structurally characterized. Complex1and2are both a one-dimensional (1D) tubular structure with the distorted dinuclear zinc rectangular-shaped cavity, and large free water molecules involved in strong O‒H···O and O‒H···N hydrogen bonds are accommodated in the 1D tubular structure. Two novel lanthanide complexes formulated as {[Er2(btcH2) (btc)(H2O)2]·4H2O}n(1) and {[Gd2(btc)(oxa)(H2O)4]·4H2O}n(2), (btcH4= benzene-1,2,4,5-tetracarboxylic acid, H2oxa = oxalic acid) were hydrothermally synthesized. Two complexes were characterized by FT-IR spectroscopy, elemental analysis, and X-ray diffraction. The complexes were polymeric with Ln(III) (Ln(III) = atoms coordinated to nine O-atoms from carboxylate groups of btcH4and waters. Btc4−and [btcH2]2−groups alternately connect the Er(III) cations in the complex 1. Complex 1 forms a 3D micropore topology geometry via [btcH2]2−and btc4−. Two novel metal-organic coordination complexes [Cd(Zalto profen)2(H2O)3](H2O) (1), [Zn(Zaltoprofen)(H2O)]n(2) (where zaltoprofen = 5-(1-carboxyethyl)-2-(phenylthio)phenylacetic acid) have been synthesized under normal conditions and hydrothermal conditions, respectively. And characterized by single crystal X-ray diffraction, elemental analysis, spectral method (IR), powder X-ray diffraction (XRD), and fluorescent properties. Compound 1 crystallizes in the monoclinicCcspace group while compound 2 in the monoclinic system with space groupP21/c. [Cd(Zaltoprofen)2(H2O)3](H2O) (1) features 0-D structural, the hydrogen-bonds play a vital role in determining the crystal packing and construction of the extended 3-D supramolecular network. [Zn(Zaltoprofen)(H2O)]n(2) displays a 2D net with alternately arranged left- and right-handed helical chains. The O–H···O hydrogen bonding play an important role in stabilizing the structure. Three novel metal coordination complexes with H3piadc[H3pimdc = 2-propyl-4,5-imidazoledicarboxylic acid], [Cu(H2pim- dc)2] (1),[Cd(H2pimdc)2]n (2), and[Pb(H2pimdc)2(H2O)2]n(3) have been synthesized and structurally characterized by X-ray single-crystal analysis. Complexes 1 and 2 of X-ray crystallography reveal that each copper(II) and cadmium(II) center is four- and six-coordinated, respectively. One molecule of complex 1 is approximately perpendicular to the other molecule, and forms a squareness. Complex2adopts an octahedral structure. Complex2is connected by metal cation and forms 3-D metal-organic frameworks without solvent molecules such as H2O, CH3OH, C2H5OH, and so on. The frameworks of complex 1 have no solvent molecules such as H2O, CH3OH, C2H5OH, and so on, too. But complex3X-ray crystallography reveals that each lead(II) center is eight-coordinated and adopts a distorted-square structure. A novel complex, namely [Cd(PDA)(HO)] (PDA = 1,4-phenylenediacetate), has been synthesized under mild condition and characterized by elemental analysis, IR spectrum, thermogravimetric analysis and single-crystal X-ray diffraction. Single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis shows that the complex crystallizes in the monoclinic space group C/ c with unit cell parameters a = 21.7429(19) Å, b = 6.6130(5) Å, c = 16.5224(12) Å, β = 101.430(4), V = 2328.6(3) Å, Z = 8. This coordination polymer features a 3D pillar-layered coordination framework constructed from two-dimensional (2D) Cadmium-carboxylate layers and Cd(PDA) pillars via hydrogen bonds. The TGA indicates that the complex is stable under 88 °C and lost all the coordination water molecules at 132 °C. The spectroscopy and electrochemical properties of the complex has also been described. The reactions of dicarboxylic acids, such as 4,4-oxybis(benzoic acid) [H2oba] and 2-propyl-4,5-imidazoledicarboxylate [H3pimdc], under hydrothermal conditions in the presence of an appropriate zinc salt yield two mononuclear complexes, which are characterized by elemental analysis, infrared spectrum, electrochemical analysis, thermal analysis, and X-ray crystal diffraction. Complex 1, [Zn(Hoba)2(4,4′-bpy)2], forms a 2-D supramolecular layer like rhombus via hydrogen bonds (O–H ··· N). Complex 2, [Zn(H2pimdc)2(2,2′-bpy)] · H2O, forms a zig-zag chain via multiple hydrogen bonds and C–H ··· π interactions. The moderate hydrogen-bond interactions in 1 and 2 play an important role for structural stability. Abstract: Three novel complexes, [Cu(phen)(oba)]2·(DMF)2(H2O) (1), {[Cu(2,2-bipy)2(Hoba)][Cu(2,2-bipy)2(oba)]2·(nitrate)(H2O)13} (2) and [Cd(oba)(ptca)]·(DMA)2 (3) (H2oba=4,4′-oxydibenzoic acid, H2ptca=terephthalic acid, 2,2-bipy=2,2′-dipyridylamine, DMA=dimethylamine, phen=1,10-phenanthroline) have been synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, infrared spectrum and X-ray crystal diffraction. Strong hydrogen bonds play central roles in the formation of the 3D structure, the combined influence of the weak interactions such as C–H…O, carbonyl…π and C–H…π interactions are also evident in the structures. Complex 1 shows 1D helix structure which is shaped by intermolecular and intramolecular π…π stacking. Complex 2 displays a interesting water morphology based on the lattice water molecules while Complex 3 shows 2-fold (4,4)-net vertical interpenetrating structure. Members of a new family of mononuclear lanthanide complexes possessing the general formula Ln(3-pyrac)3(H2O)3 (Ln = Y 1, La 2, Sm 3, Eu 4, Gd 5, Tb 6, Dy 7, Er 8, 3-pyrac = 3-pyridylacetate) were synthesized by hydrothermal reaction and characterized by single-crystal x-ray diffraction analysis, infrared (IR) spectra, luminescent spectroscopy, and thermal analysis. Photoluminescence measurement indicates that the complexes 3, 4, 6, and 7 exhibit characteristic emission of Sm(III), Eu(III), Tb(III), and Dy(III) at room temperature.
