In the previous work on the problem of the diagnostics of the composition of rain precipitations and aerosol species we have shown a possibility of using secondary-ion mass spectrometry (SIMS) [...], Model samples of aqueous solutions containing iron(II/III) salts have been studied by secondary-ion mass spectrometry. Mass spectra of the samples containing ferrous and ferric ions have been compared. The possibility of using secondary-ion mass spectrometry for the analysis of rain precipitations and samples of atmospheric aerosols has been considered.
