Six new species of the genus Lecithocera Herrich-Schäffer, 1853 (Lecithocerinae) are described from Kenya and Tanzania: five new species from Tanzania (L. kitulangaroensis Park, sp. nov., L. grisella Park, sp. nov., L. soniana Park, sp. nov., L. triasgonia Park, sp. nov., and L. majorella Park, sp. nov.) and one new species from Kenya (L. naromoruensis Park, sp. nov.). In addition, Lecithocera namizimuensis Park & Heppner, 2023 and L. isomitra Meyrick, 1914, which were described from Malawi, are reported for the first time from Tanzania and Kenya respectively; the male genitalia of L. isomitra are newly described; and the male genitalia of L. sceptrarcha Meyrick, 1920 are illustrated and described for the first time, based on those of the lectotype. Adults and the genitalia of the new species and the first known species are illustrated.

The genus Eridachtha Meyrick, 1910 of the subfamily Lecithocerinae is revised for the Afrotropical region. Twelve new species are described within it: six from Kenya (Eridachtha campanella Park, sp. nov., E. cardialis Park, sp. nov., E. centriella Park, sp. nov., E. crococorypha Park, sp. nov. (which also occurs in Uganda), E. nairobiensis Park, sp. nov., and E. phiarella Park, sp. nov.), two from Tanzania (E. arumeruna Park, sp. nov. and E. kilimanjaroensis Park, sp. nov.), three from Uganda (E. pholexana Park, sp. nov., E. cupaformis Park, sp. nov., and E. atrihispida Park, sp. nov.), and one from South Africa (E. capensis Park, sp. nov.). Three of them (whose males remain unknown)-E. cupaformis, E. atrihispida and E. crococorypha-share with E. gymnopalpa (Janse, 1963), comb. nov., a yellowish-orange ground colour of the forewing, and are thus grouped in the E. gymnopalpa species-complex. Additionally, the genus Atrichozancla Janse, 1954, syn. nov. hitherto composed of three species (A. phaeocrossis (Meyrick, 1937), A. cosymbota (Meyrick, 1920), and A. gymnopalpa Janse, 1963), is synonymized with the genus Eridachtha on the basis of wing venation and genital characteristics. The adults and genitalia of the new Afrotropical species are illustrated, as well as those of E. calamopis Meyrick, 1920 and E. phaeochlora Meyrick, 1920.

The genus Lecithocera Herrich-Schffer, 1853 in the Democratic Republic of theCongo (DR Congo) is reviewed, with descriptions of four new species: Lecithocera katangaica Park, sp. nov., L. seydeliella Park, sp. nov., L. cornutispina Park, sp. nov., and L. lusingensis Park, sp. nov. Five species are already recorded from this country: 1) L. chloroscia Meyrick described from DR Congo; 2) L. lucernata Meyrick previously reported from DR Congo by Ghesquire in 1940; 3) L. trifera Meyrick and 4) L. xanthochalca Meyrick, their generic assignments still remain doubtable; and 5) L. ideologa Meyrick. Lecithocera dicentropa Meyrick, 1938 is synonymized as a junior synonym of L. ideologa Meyrick. Adults and the genitalia of the new species and L. ideologa Meyrick are illustrated, and a lectotype for L. trifera Meyrick is designated herein.

The present study is aimed at describing lecithocerid specimens from Madagascar collected by Pierre Viette and his colleagues during the 1950's and preserved in the Muséum National d'Histoire Naturelle (MNHN, Paris). Eighteen new species of Torodora Meyrick, 1894 are described, namely: T. hana Park & Koo, sp. nov., T. larseni Park & Koo, sp. nov., T. toliarensis Park & Koo, sp. nov., T. silvestris Park & Koo, sp. nov., T. sogai Park & Koo, sp. nov., T. vietteiola Park & Koo, sp. nov., T. haploista Park & Koo, sp. nov., T. septentriella Park & Koo, sp. nov., T. zahamenensis Park & Koo, sp. nov., T. unicolorella Park & Koo, sp. nov., T. pistillia Park & Minet, sp. nov., T. andringitrensis Park & Minet, sp. nov., T. ochrizona Park & Minet, sp. nov., T. anosibensis Park & Minet, sp. nov., T. convexula Park & Minet, sp. nov., T. sphenosa Park & Minet, sp. nov., T. malagasiella Park & Minet, sp. nov., and T griveaudi Park & Minet, sp. nov. The previously unknown male of T. lecithocerella (Viette, 1956) is described for the first time. Adults and their male or female genitalia are illustrated.

Sumatra is the second largest island that is fully within Indonesian territory, but it is one of the most poorly explored areas for species diversity of the family Lecithoceridae, with less than 10 known species. In the present paper, six new species of Thubana Walker, 1864 (T. sumatrana sp. nov., T. spiniosa sp. nov., T. lata sp. nov., T. prapatensis sp. nov., T. siantarensis sp. nov., and T. selenisa sp. nov.) and three new species of Torodora Meyrick (T. diehliella sp. nov., T. exilivalvata sp. nov., and T. squariella sp. nov.) are described from Sumatra. In addition, Thubana ochracea Park & Abang, 2005, which was described from Sarawak, Malaysia, is reported for the first time from Sumatra. Illustrations of adults and genitalia of all new species are given. A list of the known species of the subfamily Torodorinae from Indonesia is provided.

The family Lecithoceridae is reviewed with descriptions of nine new species from Ivory Coast (Republic of Cte dIvoire): four new species of Thubdora Park, 2018 (T. ivoryensis Park Karisch, sp. nov., T. pulchella Park Karisch, sp. nov., T. tonkpiensis Park Karisch, sp. nov., and T. cuneiformis Park Karisch, sp. nov.); and four new species of Dragmatucha Meyrick, 1908 (D. polystriana Park Karisch, sp. nov., D. mediolinea Park Karisch, sp. nov., D. ovartiella Park Karisch, sp. nov., and D. flavoaurea Park Karisch, sp. nov.) of the subfamily Torodorinae, and one new species of Pectinimura Park, 2008 (P. paraliberalis Park Karisch, sp. nov.) of the subfamily Lecithocerinae. In addition, Thubdora barbata (Meyrick, 1933) and Thubdora vernaculella Park Karisch, 2021 are reported for the first time from Ivory Coast, and the female of T. barbata is described for the first time. Images for adults and the genitalia of all species are provided.

A new genus, Spiniola Park, gen. nov., is described from Malawi, based on the type species, S. hanaro Park, sp. nov., and three new species of Torodora Meyrick, 1894 are described: T. batillana Park Koo, sp. nov. from Kenya, and T. chrysotes Park Koo, sp. nov. and T. manalis Park Koo, sp. nov. from Uganda. Images of adults and genitalia of the new species are provided.

Four new species of Thubdora Park, 2018 and one new species of Torodora Meyrick,1894 are described from Tanzania. The new species are Thubdora forficatalis Park Cho, sp. nov., T. mufindiensis Park Cho, sp. nov., T. ochrospilosa Park Cho, sp. nov., T. tanzaniana Park Cho, sp. nov., and Torodora melanonota Park Cho, sp. nov. Images of adults and genitalia of the new species are provided and a map for the type localities of the new species is given.

In this study, two new species of the family Gelechiidae are described from Korea. The new species are Teleiodes juglansivora Park Byun, sp. nov. and Encoplata najuensis Park Byun, sp. nov. For the new species, some biological data concerning on their larval food plants are given.

Five new species belonging to the subfamily Torodorinae of Lecithoceridae are described from Bioko Island (Equatorial Guinea), based on specimens which were collected during a short expedition on the island by the second author in 1994. The new species are three species of the genus Thubdora Park, 2018 (T. biocoica sp. nov., T. vernaculella sp. nov., and T. angustiala sp. nov.), and a new species of Ptilothyris Walsingham, 1891and Dragmatucha Meyrick, 1908 respectively (Ptylothyris ruicheensis sp. nov.; and Dragmatucha vulcaniella sp. nov.). In addition, Thubdora bilobella Park, 2018 is reported for the first time from Equatorial Guinea. Images for adults and the genitalia of all species are given.

A new genus Viperinus Park, gen. nov., belonging to Torodorinae (Lecithoceridae), is proposed, with descriptions of two new species, V. orbiosus Park Koo sp. nov. from Kenya and V. pyknoistus Park Koo, sp. nov. from Uganda. Furthermore, two new species of Protolychnis Meyrick, 1925, P. oculiella Park Koo, sp. nov. and P. morogorensis Park Koo, sp. nov., are described from Kenya and Tanzania, respectively. In addition, P. petiliella Park, 2020 is reported for the first time from Tanzania. The new genus, Viperinus is very similar to Protolychnis in the superficial characters, but it is separated from the latter by having unique characters in genitalia: a pair of processes arising from base of each valva in the male genitalia and a polygonal signal plate in the female genitalia. Images of adults and genitalia of the four new species are provided, and a checklist of Protolychnis Meyrick is also given.

A new species of the genus Tisis Walker is described from Sumatra, Indonesia, which is very close to T. sumatraensis Park, 2007.

Five new species of the genus Torodora Meyrick of the family Lecithoceridae are described from Cambodia. The new species are T. helvinotula Park, sp. nov., T. spathiana Park, sp. nov., T. alterniella Park, sp. nov., T. triquetrella Park, sp. nov., and T. cupriella Park, sp. nov.. In addition, Torodora macrosigna Gozmány, 1973 is reported for the first time from Cambodia, with illustration of the male genitalia for the first time.

A small Oriental genus Pompographa Gozmány, 1971 is reviewed, with three known species including a new species P. concaviella Park, sp. nov. described from Thailand. The recently described species from Laos, Torodora barathrona Park, 2020 is transferred to Prompographa, P. barathrona Park, comb. nov. Adult images of the three known species and genitalia of the two species, except the type species, are given.

Two species of Thubdora Park (T. onsemiro Park, sp. nov. and T. elgozmanyi Park, sp. nov.) and one species of Ptilothyris Walsingham (P. galbiplatella Park, sp. nov.) are described from Uganda.

Genus Torodora Meyrick of the family Lecithoceridae in Laos is reviewed, describing five new species and reporting two unrecorded species of the genus. The new species are T. barathrona Park, sp. nov., T. canalis Park, sp. nov., T. cordisigna Park, sp. nov., T. digitalis Park, sp. nov., and T. multispinata sp. nov. In addition, T. metasaris (Meyrick, 1911), comb. nov. and Torodora pegasana Wu Liu, 1994 are reported for the first time from Laos. Images of adults and genitalia for the new species and the first known species are provided, along with a list of the previously known species with new collected localities.

The holotypes of the Malagasy Lecithoceridae described by Pierre Viette (from 1954 to 1988) are reviewed, which represents a total of 23 specimens originally assigned to the genera Idiopteryx Walsingham, 1891 (4 named species) and Lecithocera Herrich-Shäffer, 1853 (19 named species). The holotype of Nemophora janineae Viette, 1954, erroneously described in Adelidae, is also included in the present study since it clearly belongs to the Lecithoceridae; N. janineae is here transferred to the genus Parkiana Cho, 2020. All these type specimens are housed in the Muséum National d'Histoire Naturelle (MNHN, Paris), where Pierre Viette had worked as a researcher during almost forty years (1945-1982). The Lecithocera species in question are transferred either to other genera of the Lecithoceridae, or to other families: 12 species, including Lecithocera kambanella and L. masoalella previously transferred by Park (2018), are assigned to Torodora Meyrick, 1894; three species to Parkiana Cho; the remaining species to non-lecithocerid groups, namely the Gelechiidae: Dichomeridinae (1 species), the Epichostis-group (considered incertae sedis but here expanded to include the genus Merocrates Meyrick, 1931; 1 species), and the Momphidae (2 described species, here regarded as synonyms, viz. L. andrianella Viette, 1968 and L. ranavaloella Viette, 1968). The four alleged Malagasy Idiopteryx turn out to belong to non-lecithocerid families and are transferred to the genera Dichomeris Hübner (Gelechiidae: Dichomeridinae; 1 species), Odites Walsingham (Peleopodidae: Oditinae; 1 species), and Moca Walker (Immidae, superfamily Immoidea; 2 species). Within the Momphidae, Lecithocera andrianella Viette is assigned to a new genus, Adelomompha Minet Park gen. nov., which is placed in a new subfamily (Adelomomphinae Minet Park subfam. nov.) since it lacks at least two imaginal apomorphies present in the ground plan of the remaining Momphidae (here placed in the subfamily Momphinae, revised status). High resolution photographs were taken to illustrate the habitus and various morphological structures (genitalia, notably) of the 24 above-mentioned type specimens (MNHN material).

Twelve new species of the genus Dichomeris Hübner, 1818 and one new species of the genus Helcystogramma Zeller, 1877 of the subfamily Dichomeridinae of Gelechiidae are described from Vietnam, in combination with Chinese specimens. The new species are D. fascialobella Park Li, sp. nov., D. flavimaculata Park Li, sp. nov., D. infundibularis Park Li, sp. nov., D. lancea Park Li, sp. nov., D. longivalvata Park Li, sp. nov., D. marginalis Park Li, sp. nov., D. myriaodontosa Park Li, sp. nov., D. ochriella Park Li, sp. nov., D. quadratella Park Li, sp. nov., D. sclerospinula Park Li, sp. nov., D. spinosella Park Li, sp. nov., D. unilobata Park Li, sp. nov., and Helcystogramma albimacularis Park Li, sp. nov. In addition, eighteen Dichomeris species and three Helcystogramma species are reported for the first time from Vietnam, and of these, four previously unknown female are firstly found and described: Dichomeris parvisexafurca Li, Zhen Kendrick, 2010, Dichomeris argentenigera Li, Zhen Kendrick, 2010, Dichomeris splendiptera Li Park, 2017 and Dichomeris parallelosa Park Ponomarenko, 1998. Images of adults and genitalia for the new species and newly reported species including the firstly described females are provided.

Two new genera, Halista Park, gen. nov. (type species: Ephalista batillosa Park Kim, sp. nov.) and Mireana Park, gen. nov. (type species: Miraena tawitawiensis Park Kim sp. nov.), and four new species, assigned to the previously known genera: Lecithocera wolframmeyi sp. nov, L. bipunctata sp. nov., Torodora platiella sp. nov. and Chrysonasma occidentis sp. nov. are described from the Philippines. Illustrations of adults and genitalia of all new species are provided.

The genus Dragmatucha Meyrick is reviewed and 11 species of a total of 13 are described as new. The new species originate from the Democratic Republic of Congo, Ghana, Kenya, and Uganda. Based on morphological characters, especially the color pattern of both wings, the genus is divided into two species-groups: the proaula species-group with five species (D. proaula Meyrick, 1908; D. galbinea Park, sp. nov.; D. kabarolensis Park, sp. nov.; D. saltualis Park, sp. nov. and D. vittatella Park, sp. nov.) and the hispidula species-group with eight species (D. hispidula Park, 2018; D. goniotes Park, sp. nov.; D. cochliana Park, sp. nov.; D. pedalis Park, sp. nov.; D. ghanaensis Park, sp. nov.; D. crinifrutalis Park, sp. nov.; D. dizostera Park, sp. nov. and D. kakumensis Park, sp. nov.). Adults and male genitalia of all new species are illustrated, but female genitalia are provided only for D. ghanaensis Park, sp. nov. and D. kakumensis Park, sp. nov. When fresh material was available, the analysis of COI sequences was undertaken.

Fourteen new species of the Afrotropical genus Thubdora Park, 2018 (Lecithoceridae: Torodorinae) are described from Uganda: Thubdora afropyralidis Park, sp. nov., T. fruticosa Park, sp. nov., T. kibalensis Park, sp. nov., T. klenodes Park, sp. nov., T. latidiscalis Park, sp. nov., T. mirinae Park, sp. nov., T. nemorosa Park, sp. nov., T. retusivalva Park, sp. nov., T. umbratilis Park, sp. nov., and T. wooriana Park, sp. nov. in the aciphalla species-group (10 species); and T. corystos Park, sp. nov., T. narusia Park, sp. nov., T. trigonoides Park, sp. nov., and T. villosiphalla Park, sp. nov. in the acutalis species-group (four species). Four species are reported for the first time from Uganda: T. ambliodes Park, 2018, T. bilobella Park, 2018, T. ealaensis Park De Prins, 2019, and T. ghesquierei Park De Prins, 2019; and the females of T. ealaensis and T. ghesquierei are newly described, and their genitalia are illustrated. In addition, three species of Ptilothyris Walsingham, 1897 previously recorded from DR Congo are transferred to Thubdora: T. brachysema (Meyrick, 1938), comb. nov., T. crocophracta (Meyrick, 1938), comb. nov., and T. nemophorella (Ghesquière, 1940), comb. nov. Lectotypes for T. brachysema and T. crocophracta are designated herein. Identifications of the new species and corresponding females were confirmed based on the comparison of COI barcode sequences. Adults and genitalia of all the new species and the three species transferred from Ptilothyris are illustrated.

Two new species of the genus Protolychnis Meyrick are described: P. petiliella Park, sp. nov. from Uganda and P. bastini Park, sp. nov. from Democratic Republic of Congo and Kenya. Adults, male and female genitalia of both new species are illustrated. A check-list for all known species of the genus is provided.

Two new species of the genus Homaloxestis Meyrick, 1910 are described from Uganda, Africa: H. arcuatus sp. nov. and H. lactizonalis sp. nov. A previously known species of the genus from Uganda, H. hemigastra Meyrick, 1931 is transferred to the genus Furcalis Park as F. hemigastra (Meyrick, 1931), comb. nov. The female of F. hemigastra is reported for the first time and described and illustrated. New distributional data for H. lophophora Janse for DR Congo, Tanzania and Uganda are given, and a maximum likelihood-tree of the four COI barcoded species of Homaloxestis is provided to reconfirm the relationship of H. lophophora Janse and H. cholopis (Meyrick). Diagnosis, descriptions and illustrations of adults, male and/or female genitalia for the new species, and the venation of H. lactizonalis sp. nov. are provided. A checklist of the species of the genus Homaloxestis Meyrick in the Afrotropical region is given.

The Lecithoceridae of southern Africa are reviewed, based on material preserved in the Ditsong National Museum of Natural History, Pretoria, Republic of South Africa. A total of 22 species are recognized including three new species: Idiopteryx jansei sp. nov., Lecithocera minyodes sp. nov. and Protolychnis natalensis sp. nov. Isotypa Janse, 1954 syn. nov. is synonymized with Idiopteryx Walsingham, 1891 and Homaloxestis lophophora Janse, 1954 stat. rev. is raised to species rank, separating it from H. cholopis Meyrick, 1906. In addition, Lecithocera ochrometra Meyrick, 1933 is transferred to Torodora Meyrick, 1894 as T. ochrometra (Meyrick, 1933) comb. nov., Lecithocera officialis Meyrick, 1911 is excluded from Lecithocera Herrich-Schäffer, 1853, and Dragmatucha proaula (Meyrick, 1908) is newly reported from Kenya. It is revealed that the male genital figure for Homaloxestis cholopis (Meyrick, 1906) by Janse (1954) was erroneously illustrated, based on a different species which is probably undescribed. Another miss-placed figure of the genitalia by Janse (1954) was also found for Lecithocera aenicta Janse, 1954. Diagnosis, descriptions (only for the new species), depositories of types, and distribution data of all the known species are provided. Images of adults, male and/or female genitalia, and the venation of a few species are illustrated.

Seven new species of the genus Deltoplastis Meyrick are described: D. acutangulata Wang et Yu, sp. nov., D. anatoliana Wang et Park, sp. nov., D. multidentalis Wang et Yu, sp. nov. and D. similihoristis Wang et Yu, sp. nov. from China; D. aculeata Wang et Yu, sp. nov. and D. spatuliunca Wang et Yu, sp. nov. from Malaysian Borneo; and D. ovidiscalis Park et Wang, sp. nov. from Vietnam. Deltoplastis horistis (Meyrick, 1910) is newly recorded in China and its female is described for the first time. Images of adults and genitalia of the new species are provided.

The type specimens of Lecithoceridae which are deposited in the Royal Museum for Central Africa (RMCA), Tervuren, Belgium (five species of Lecithocera Herrich-Schäffer and two of Homaloxestis Meyrick) were re-examined. The results are: 1) two species of Lecithocera are transferred to Thubdora Park and Torodora Meyrick respectively, with new combinations: Thubdora barbata (Meyrick, 1933), comb. nov. and Torodora semnodora (Meyrick, 1933), comb. nov.; 2) six species which were misidentified as L. barbata are described as new species in the genus Thubdora: T. ealeaensis sp. nov., T. ghesquierei sp. nov., T. gladiator sp. nov., T. kapangaensis sp. nov., T. neobarbata sp. nov. and T. seydeli sp. nov.; 3) four species which were misidentified as L. semnodora are described as new species in the genus Torodora: T. amplignathosa sp. nov. , T. lichanosa sp. nov., T. planusa sp. nov. and T. triloba sp. nov.; 4) L. schoutedeniella Ghesquière is transferred to Dichomeris Hübner of the family Gelechiidae; 5) Homaloxestis pancrocopa Meyrick does not belong to Homaloxestis nor to Lecithoceridae, and should be transferred to a different family of Gelechioidea; 6) a lectotype is designated for Lecithocera semnodora Meyrick, 1933; 7) the species names of Lecithocera eugenopa Meyrick and Homaloxestes chloromorpha Meyrick based on the type-labels under two specimens are revealed as unpublished manuscript names. Illustrations of the adults and their genitalia of all the types are provided.

Ptilothyris Walsingham, 1897, a poorly known Afrotropical genus of Lecithoceridae, is revised. Eight new species are described and illustrated: P. subcucullata Park, sp. nov., P. crassiella Park, sp. nov., P. drepanodes Park, sp. nov., P. enormisella Park, sp. nov., P. hylodes Park, sp. nov., P. leifaarviki Park, sp. nov., P. pilosa Park, sp. nov., and P. vokaensis Park, sp. nov. Each species is compared with type specimens of the related species deposited in various museums worldwide. COI barcode sequences of six species were successfully obtained and are provided. Of the 13 previously known African species of the genus, P. serangota ab. cyanea Ghesquière, 1940 is synonymized with P. serangota Meyrick, 1932, and the following three species are excluded from the genus: brachysema Meyrick, 1938, crocophracta Meyrick, 1938, and nemophorella Ghesquière, 1940. The latter three will be transferred to related genera in forthcoming studies. Adults and genitalia of all the known species including the new species are illustrated, and a key to the species is provided.

Three new species of Lecithocera Herrich-Shäffer, 1853; L. quadratiella sp. nov., L. nantouensis sp. nov., and L. meishanensis sp. nov., are described from Taiwan. External and genital features of the new species are illustrated. A check list of the known species of Lecithocera in Taiwan is provided.

Two new species of Gisilia Kasy, 1968, G. melanobasis n. sp. and G. tamrae n. sp., are described from Korea. Ascalenia thoracista (Meyrick, 1915) is transferred to Gisilia and compared to two Korean congeners. External and genital features of two new species and G. thoracista are illustrated. Piercing oviscapts are reported from Gelechioidea for the first time. The occurrences of oviscapts in Lepidoptera are reviewed.

The genus Anarsia Zeller (Lepidoptera, Gelechiidae) in Laos is reviewed, with 11 species including one new species: Anarsia laosana sp. nov. Additionally another 10 species of the genus, namely, Anarsia choana Park, A. decora Li Zheng, A. isogona Meyrick, A. kepensis Park, A. ovula Park and Ponomarenko, A. paraisogona Park and Ponomarenko, A. patulella (Walker), A. porthmisa Park, A. phortica Meyrick, and A. tricornis Meyrick, are reported for the first time from Laos. Photos of all recorded species are shown, and genitalia for the new species and two poorly known species, A. decora and A. paraisogona Park and Ponomarenko, are illustrated.

In a faunal study of the micromoths in Cambodia, thirteen species of the genus Dichomeris (Gelechiidae, Dichomeridinae) are recognized, including associated Chinese species. Eight species are described as new: D. arcuata sp. nov., D. splendiptera sp. nov., D. samkosensis sp. nov., D. foliforma sp. nov., D. magnimacularis sp. nov., D. hainanensis sp. nov., D. cambodiensis sp. nov., D. acutivalvata sp. nov. Five species are newly recorded for Cambodia: D. orientis Park & Hodges, D. fuscusitis Li & Zheng, D. obsepta (Meyrick), D. microsphena Meyrick, and D. matsumurai Ponomarenko & Ueda. . Images of adults and genitalia are provided.

Two new species of Torodorinae: Caveana plenalinea Park, sp. nov. and Antiochtha hemitatos Park, sp. nov., are described from Laos. At the same time, three species of the genus Torodora are reported for the first time from Laos.

Three new species of the genus Anarsia Zeller (Lepidoptera, Gelechiidae) are described: A. huensis Park, sp. nov. from Vietnam, and A. pursatica Park, sp. nov. and A. degeneralis Park, sp. nov. from Cambodia. Images of adults and genitalia for the new species are illustrated. A check list of the known species from both countries is provided.

The Family Lecithoceridae of the Oceanian region, which includes New Guinea (Papua and Papua New Guinea) together with some islands east of Borneo and SW Pacific islands, is reviewed, with a description of Thubana brunalis Park, sp. nov. T. brunalis is the second species of the Torodorinae introduced to the region. Also included a historical review on the taxonomic works on the family in the region, a zoogeographical consideration of the taxa, and a tentative check list of the family, including 158 valid species names. Sphenocrates Meyrick, 1925, syn. nov. is synonymized with Crocanthes Meyrick. New combinations include Pectinimura palpella (Bradley, 1961), comb. nov. and Crocanthes neptis (Diakonoff, 1954), comb. nov.

The genus Anarsia Zeller in Vietnam and Cambodia is reviewed, with 19 species including 10 new species: A. deuterodes Park, sp. nov., Anarsia diversiola Park, sp. nov., A. porthmista Park, sp. nov., A. melanodes Park, sp. nov., A. gryphodes Park, sp. nov., A. campestra Park, sp. nov., A. similicampa Park, sp. nov., A. kepensis Park, sp. nov., A. pusillidia Park, sp. nov., and A. houhunlii Park, sp. nov. Nine previously described species, namely A. tricornis Meyrick, A. choana Park, A. isogona Meyrick, A. paraisogona Meyrick, A. incerta Ueda, A. acerata Meyrick, A. didymopa Meyrick, A. phortica Meyrick, and A. patulella (Walker), are reported for the first time from Vietnam or Cambodia. Anarsia magnibimaculata Li & Zheng, 1998 is newly synonymized with A. bimaculata Ponomarenko, 1989. A tentative check list of the genus in the Central and East Asia (including Indochina, China, Russian Far East, Korea, and Japan) is given.

The genus Deltoplastis Meyrick is reviewed from China and its neibouring countries. Fifteen species are recognized, including nine new species: D. angustifoliacea sp. nov., D. conjugata sp. nov., D. dentata sp. nov., D. curviloba sp. nov., D. gyroflexa sp. nov., D. hippocrepica sp. nov., D. mamillata sp. nov., D. acutiprocessa sp. nov., and D. maehongsonensis sp. nov. The male of D. causidica (Meyrick, 1910) and the female of D. prionaspis Gozmány, 1978 are described for the first time. Deltoplastis causidica (Meyrick, 1910) from China and Thailand, D. gypsopeda Meyrick, 1934 from Thailand and India, D. commatopa Meyrick, 1932 from Vietnam and India, D. lobigera Gozmány from India are newly recorded for each country. Photographs of adults and genitalia are provided, along with a key to the species and a world catalogue of Deltoplastis.

Trichoboscis Meyrick belongs to the subfamily Lecithocerinae of Lecithoceridae. It is a small, poorly known genus, comprising two known species described from India. In this study, three new species are described: T. multispina Park & Wang, sp. nov. and T. phliuensis Park & Wang, sp. nov. from Thailand, and T. cultriformis Park & Wang, sp. nov. from China. Images of adults and genitalia are provided, along with a key to all the described species in the genus.

The genus Lasiochira Meyrick, 1931 is reviewed, based on the specimens collected from China, Korea, and Vietnam. Of the eight species involved in this study, six are described as new: L. flavaterminata sp. nov., L. jianfengensis sp. nov., L. jiulongshana sp. nov., L. pallidiptera sp. nov., L. rosataenia sp. nov. and L. taiwanensis sp. nov. Photographs of adults and genital structures as well as the wing venation are provided, along with a key to all the known species.

Pacificulla Park, gen. nov. related to Crocanthes Meyrick is described from New Guinea, based on the type species P. flaviagra Park, sp. nov. Five additional species are described: P. esdiparki Park, sp. nov., P. searsi Park, sp. nov., P. callisomata Park, sp. nov., P. cervicalis Park, sp. nov., and P. kekamatana Park, sp. nov. The following six new combinations are proposed, the species of which were formerly included in Crocanthes: Pacificulla thrasydora (Meyrick, 1910), comb. nov.; P. philotima (Diakonoff, 1954), comb. nov.; P. miltina (Durrant, 1915), comb. nov.; P. ignigera (Meyrick, 1938), comb. nov.; P. zonias (Meyrick, 1904), comb. nov.; and P. geniola (Meyrick, 1931), comb. nov. C. xanthorrhoea Diakonoff is synonymized with P. philotima (Diakonoff). The upper surface of adults, labial palpi, and genitalia of all described species are illustrated, including the wing venation of two representative species.

Molecular identification techniques are used where morphological characters are not useful for distinguishing species that resemble each other closely. The example studied here is the Adoxophyes species complex, in which A. orana (Fischer von Rösslerstamm) is officially the only known Korean species in the genus Adoxophyes (Lepidoptera: Tortricidae). However there have been suspicions that at least two types of A. orana exist in Korea based on the distribution and range of the host, with A. orana attacking apples and peaches, and another Adoxophyes sp. attacking tea and pears. The latter is presumed to be A. honmai (Yasuda), but the two have remained confused because of their extreme morphological similarity, despite several Asian studies of pheromonal and morphological characteristics. To confirm the occurrence of an Adoxophyes species other than A. orana in Korea, we compared 940 bp of the mitochondrial cytochrome oxidase I (COI) gene from 16 samples of Adoxophyes and found that there is a second Adoxophyes species different from A. orana. Comparison of the different sequences to that of Japanese A. honmai confirmed that they belong to the latter. From the sequence difference between the two Korean species, we were able to develop new PCR primer sets that distinguish them. This molecular identification technique with no enzyme digestion or sequencing step is a convenient and rapid way of differentiating between species that are hard to distinguish morphologically.
