Abstract

Background: The generalization of established motivation hypothesis states that individuals use established motivational beliefs to predict motivational beliefs regarding novel learning content on the basis of the perceived similarity between academic domains., Aims: This study tests the generalization hypothesis by investigating the assumed moderating role of the extent of perceived similarity between known and novel learning content and need for cognition (NFC)., Sample(s): Participants were adult students (n = 576) from various study programs (Study 1) and non-students (n = 628) of whom the majority held at least a bachelor's degree (Study 2)., Methods: In this prospective correlational survey study, we used online self-report measures to assess participants' self-concept of ability (SCA) and intrinsic task value (ITV) regarding their established and anticipated motivational beliefs regarding a set of school subjects (known learning content) and fields of study (novel learning content), perceptions of similarity, and their NFC. Data was analysed using structural equation modelling with latent interaction variables., Results: We found support for the generalization hypothesis and documented that the perceived similarity moderated the generalizing effect (i.e., SCA and ITV had stronger predictive validity for learning content that was perceived as more similar). However, the results obtained for the moderating effect of NFC were mostly nonsignificant., Conclusion: Individuals generalize established motivation regarding known learning content to anticipated motivation regarding novel learning content perceived as being similar. The extent of perceived similarity enhances this effect, whereas NFC does not. Future research should address the underlying automatic and deliberate cognitive processes of generalization., (© 2022 The Authors. Abstract

In the article common definitions of the term «motivation» were given, types of motives were selected. The task is to identify the influence of modern music on the positive dynamics of the formation of motivation of secondary school pupils to the lessons offoreign lessons. The authors substantiate the urgency of using modern music in order to increase the motivation of secondary school pupils to foreign language studying in accordance with their psycho-physiological characteristics. Methods of diagnosing the level of motivation and tasks with using modern English songs are presented in the article. In order to confirm the research hypothesis experiment was conducted. The results of the experiment allowed the authors to justify using of modern music at foreign language lessons in order to increase the level of motivation to foreign language studying.

Abstract

Глава посвящена формированию профессиональной мотивации будущих педагогов. Также рассматривается процесс формирования профессиональной мотивации будущего учителя с помощью предоставленных способов. Обозначены психолого-педагогические особенности мотивации студентов-будущих учителей к профессиональному росту, раскрыты пути совершенствования профессионализма будущих учителей, направленные на саморазвитие и самоопределение в процессе прохождения педагогической практики. Выявлены принципы организации педагогической практики и факторы, влияющие на ее эффективность. Раскрыта связь мотивации профессиональной деятельности с профессиональной ориентированностью студентов и их личной траекторией развития профессиональных навыков и умений. Актуальность исследования обусловлена государственной и социальной потребностью в подготовке нового поколения, способствующего развитию и процветанию государства. Провозглашаемые во всём мире Цели устойчивого развития (ЦУР), которые нашли своё отражение в программе устойчивого развития, принятой мировыми лидерами 193 стран под эгидой Организации Объединенных Наций, направлены на содействие устойчивому экономическому росту, полной и продуктивной занятости и достойному труду для всех. Ориентация государств-членов ООН при создании своих программ и разработке политических стратегий на следующие годы (до 2030 г.) на 17 целей, одной из первых из которых выступает ЦУР4: обеспечение всеохватного и справедливого качественного образования и поощрение возможности обучения на протяжении всей жизни для всех. Реализация этой цели требует создания определенных социальных и экономических условий, обеспечивающих возможность каждому получать качественное образование, включаться в систему непрерывного образования, учиться на протяжении всей жизни., The chapter is devoted to the formation of professional motivation of future teachers. The process of formation of professional motivation of a future teacher using the provided methods is also considered. The psychological and pedagogical features of motivating students-future teachers for professional growth are indicated, ways of improving the professionalism of future teachers, aimed at self-development and self-determination in the process of passing pedagogical practice, are revealed. The principles of pedagogical practice organization and factors influencing its effectiveness are revealed. The connection between the motivation of professional activity and the professional orientation of students and their personal trajectory of the development of professional skills and abilities is revealed. The relevance of the research is due to the state and social need to prepare a new generation that contributes to the development and prosperity of the state. The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) proclaimed around the world, which are reflected in the sustainable development program adopted by the world leaders of 193 countries under the auspices of the United Nations, are aimed at promoting sustainable economic growth, full and productive employment and decent work for all. The orientation of the UN Member States in creating their programs and developing political strategies for the next years (until 2030) on 17 goals, one of the first of which is SDG4: ensuring inclusive and equitable quality education and promoting lifelong learning opportunities for all. The realization of this goal requires the creation of certain social and economic conditions that provide an opportunity for everyone to receive a quality education, to be included in the system of continuing education, to study throughout life.
