Abstract
The article offers news briefs on various topics in the U.S. It reveals that the United Nations Environment Programme plans to reduce its use of paper which aims to save one billion trees every year. The North Pacific Fishery Management Council is seeking comments from the public concerning its plan of preventing industrial fishing in the Arctic Ocean. The sixth Annual World Music Festival was held in New York City on January 11, 2009.
