This study emphasizes the two-dimensional incompressible flow of Williamson nanofluid caused by an inclined, infinite, expanding/contracting cylinder that is inclined at an angle with the horizontal axis. The focus is on the behavior of non-Newtonian fluid on the flow, heat, and mass transfer during the process. The properties of the fluid are modeled using a set of partial differential equations in association with the characterizing parameters obtained during the presentation of non-dimensional form. The problem is solved numerically using the shooting-based Runge–Kutta fourth-order technique. The results are shown graphically for the behavior of the several contributing parameters. The effect of various pertaining parameters is analyzed henceforth. The physical quantities of interest are also discussed in the tables. The study provides useful insight into the behavior of the fluid, i.e. suction/injection shows opposite behavior on the fluid velocity profiles where suction decelerates the profile and injection enhances it significantly. This analysis addresses the impacts of variable thermal conductivity on the magnetic hydrodynamic motion of Casson nanofluid via an infinite porous sheet with non-uniform heat sources. Stretching sheets and convective circumstances are also considered in the initial boundary conditions. The combination of ethylene glycol and oxide nanoparticles offers a versatile platform for various industrial, technological, and biomedical applications. It provides enhanced properties and functionalities compared to conventional fluids or nanoparticle dispersions. Thus, we considered two nanoparticles CuO and TiO 2 with the base fluid ethylene glycol in nanofluid flow. Governing partial equations are renewed in ordinary differential form with apposite similarity renovation. The 4th-order R-K method with shooting approximation is adopted to get the approximate results of reduced ordinary equations. A study is carried out for the flow of a steady two-dimensional hybrid nanofluid through an exponentially expanding/shrinking surface under the influence of a magnetic field. Further, the impact of thermal buoyancy is also incorporated into the momentum equation. The model is developed using the rheological properties of hybrid nanofluid, such as viscosity, conductivity, specific heat, etc. that develop the physical significance of nanofluid. The principal equations for the motion are re-constructed to their dimensionless form by implementing similarity transformation and these are handled numerically using Runge–Kutta fourth-order. The analysis of heat transfer of a hybrid nanofluid ( Al 2 O 3 − Cu ∕ H 2 O) in the MHD stagnation point motion toward an exponentially expanding/shrinking sheet with a nonuniform heat source/sink, multiple slip conditions and nonlinear thermal radiation effects are carried out in this study. By applying the similarity transformation, the governing equations are transformed into Ordinary Differential Equations (ODEs). The Runge–Kutta method using bvp4c in MATLAB software is implemented to explain the ODEs. The results show that the local Nusselt number is decreased while the skin friction coefficient remains unaltered by the accumulation of thermal slip, space, and temperature-dependent parameters. Flow through porous media has wide applications in industry. Many researchers investigated fluid flow over constant porous media, but porous media is not always constant. Thus, the main motive of the current investigation is to know the MHD flow of nanofluid through a variable Darcy-Forchheimer porous intermediate in a rotating disk. Additionally, heat generation and thermal radiation are used in the governing model. Buongiorno model of nanofluid are used. After the transformation of governing equations into ODE problems by some suitable similarity variables, we solve numerically through the R-K 4th-order method with the help of shooting approximation. Engineering-interested coefficients are calculated in this article. The result shows that variable permeability and variable porosity have reverse behaviour for velocity profile, temperature profile as well as engineering coefficients. An electrically conducting time-dependent flow of water-based nanofluid comprised of Copper and Titanium oxide over a stationary plate embedding with a porous matrix is analyzed in this study. The novelty arises due to the interaction of both the thermal radiation as well as the radiation absorption that affect the heat transport phenomenon. In the single-phase flow, both the variation of particle concentration and the solutal concentration for the inclusion of chemical reaction are taken care of. Also, the influence of the free convection phenomena is explained significantly. The transformed dimensionless system of the governing equations is handled analytically by using the Laplace Transform method. The behavior of the characterizing parameters involved in the governing equations is presented via graphs and the simulation of the numerical results of the rate coefficients like shear rate and rate of heat and solutal transfer is deployed through the table. An analysis is presented for the stagnation-point two-dimensional fluid flow of hybrid nanofluid towards an expanding surface characterized by the induced magnetic field. Further, the consideration of thermal buoyancy and additional heat source enhances the flow phenomena with various physical parameters involved in it. This work has significant novelty due to the behavior of the convective boundary conditions. Besides, due to the convective term the nonlinear differential equations designed in this problem are incorporated and are resolved numerically by executing the Runge–Kutta–Fehlberg method. Additionally, three different classes of nanosized particle configurations named brick, cylinders, and platelets shapes are examined for the implementation of the Hamilton–Crosser thermal conductivity model. In the end, the influences characterizing the local Nusselt number and the coefficient of skin friction profiles have been discussed for unalike shapes of nanosized particles are discussed. In the above study, it is found that the platelet-shaped nanosized particle is more efficient in comparison to the other shapes considered herein. In this article, the effects of Joule heating and MHD mixed convective hybrid nanofluid (copper + aluminium oxide/ethylene glycol) flow close to a vertical plate's stagnation point is investigated. Since hybrid nanofluids have higher effective viscosity, density, and conductivity than nanofluids, they have a higher rate of heat transfer than nanofluids at a stagnation point across a vertical penetrable flat plate. Additionally, while taking into account the effects of magnetohydrodynamics, the effects of Joule heating are relevant in resistance heating coils, incandescent light bulbs, clothes irons, fan heaters, laboratory water baths and hair dryers. A system of non-dimensional ordinary differential equations and boundary conditions are obtained using appropriate dimensionless variables from the set of partial differential equations in the proposed model. Dimensionless variables are used to generate dimensionless set of nonlinear coupled ordinary differential equations for dimensional governing equations, which are subsequently, computed using shooting technique process with the Runge–Kutta–Fehlberg method. The flow phenomena and the simulated result for the contributing parameters are presented via graphs and tables. Additionally, the energy equation's dissipative heat energy exhibits a noteworthy behavior with respect to the coupling parameter. The current article deals with a novel idea of a suspension of spherical silver Ag , cylindrical aluminium oxide Al 2 O 3 and platelet aluminium Al nanoparticles in water–ethylene glycol as a conducting fluid through a convective stretching surface. The effects of induced magnetic field, heat sink or source, thermal radiation and slip condition aspect are also incorporated during ternary hybrid nanofluid flow. The significance of the current investigation lies in enhancing heat transfer efficiencies, high-temperature processes, electronic devices where heat is generated or cooling systems and metal casting. The numerical solutions of nonlinear ordinary differential are obtained by employing a finite difference approach via the bvp4c solver (MATLAB package). The obtained results pointed out that the spherical silver nanoparticles provide a higher rate of heat transfer followed by cylindrical alumina nanoparticles and platelet aluminium nanoparticles, respectively. Moreover, the velocity profile and induced magnetic profile decrease with increasing volume fraction of spherical Ag nanoparticles, cylindrical Al 2 O 3 alumina nanoparticles, platelet Al nanoparticles and induced magnetic parameter. The ternary hybrid nanofluid's heat transfer rate is greatly increased by larger values of the radiative parameter, Biot number and slip parameter. This paper considers two-dimensional electrically conducting and incompressible ternary hybrid nanofluid flow on a stretching sheet with the convective boundary condition and heat source effect. Relevant similarity formulas are effectuated in converting the governing equations into a system of ordinary differential equations (ODEs) and are further treated numerically using the spectral quasilinearization method (SQLM), with error analysis. In recent times, the field of nanotechnology has been instrumental in driving significant breakthroughs in heat transport. These technological breakthroughs have shown their significance in improving the efficiency of heat exchangers, such as thermal pipes, microfluidic structures, and electronic components that depend on effective heat transfer processes. This study aims to explore innovative methods for enhancing heat transfer effectiveness. The present investigation focuses on the two-dimensional, incompressible, electrically conducting ternary liquid flow between two parallel porous plates in a microchannel. This has been considered with the convective boundary conditions employing the thermophoretic particle deposition phenomena. The numerical results of the mathematical, physical problem entailed a similar solution employed with the RKF-45 method. The stimulus of these process-sensitive non-dimensional parameters has been discussed and presented graphically with validation of the published results. This article is motivated by the effect of nanoparticle shapes on fluid motion and heat transmission across melting heat-stretchable impermeable surfaces. Thus, the impact of three different nanoparticle shapes (sphere, cylinder and lamina) at different volume fractions for two nanoparticles, i.e., Fe 3 O 4 and MgO , in the presence of three base fluids ( H 2 O , methanol , engine oil ) is investigated. The system of nonlinear partial differential equations (PDEs) is reduced to a set of ordinary differential equations (ODEs) using suitable local similarity variables. To validate the theoretical findings of this investigation, the Runge–Kutta–Fehlberg method is used and MATLAB's inbuilt program bvp4c is employed through which graphical outputs are deliberated to show the impact of nanoparticles on momentum and energy domain. This study shows that the lamina shape of MgO - Fe 3 O 4 / engine oil has a major impact on Θ ξ with increasing φ 1 , φ 2 . Due to the stronger thermal conductivity of MgO lamina-shaped nanoparticles compared to other nanoparticle shapes within the flow region, the velocity profile increases with the augmentation of φ 1 and φ 2 . The investigations of natural convection in open cavities admit an indispensable insight to the research community, and many research articles are published in this area as the wide range of applications in industries. We focus on investigating free convection in a partially open square cavity; the use of a wavy cold wall will have a larger surface than a straight cold side wall for a fixed distance. This numerical investigation is aimed at MHD free convection in a partially open wavy porous cavity filled with nanofluid. The cavity is positioned vertically, and the wavy cavity wall on the right side maintains a constant low temperature. The top wall is partially opened, the magnetic field is applied horizontally from the left wall, and the bottom and top walls are adiabatic. The solutions of dimensionless governing equations are computed by the finite difference method (FDM) for a wide range of governing parameters: nanoparticles volume fraction (0 ≤ ϕ ≤ 0.05) , Hartmann number (0 ≤ H a ≤ 10 2) , Rayleigh–Darcy number (10 ≤ R a ≤ 10 3) , the position of a partial opening (d = 1 / 6 , 1 / 2 , 5 / 6) , length of the opening (ϵ = 1 / 3) , undulations number per unit length (1 ≤ N ≤ 5) , and dimensionless wave amplitude (0.05 ≤ a ≤ 0.25). Obtained results reveal that overall convection is reduced as the nanoparticle volume fraction or Hartmann number augments, and the effect of the position of the opening is minor at a higher value of the Hartmann number; also, the waviness is an increasing factor for the average Nusselt number. The current investigation reveals the magnetohydrodynamic flow of Williamson nanofluid past an extending surface surrounded by the porous medium. We obtain the clean semi-analytical solutions with method of directly defining inverse mapping (MDDiM) to the system of nonlinear equations arising in the magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) convection motion of Molybdenum disulfide (MoS2) engine-oil intrinsic nanofluid in a circumnavigatethe structure is considered for analysis. Finding the solutions by using MDDiM is a novel idea and first time solving for the system of nonlinear partial differential equations. We have chosen inverse linear mapping for the five-term solution and it emphasizes by residual error and this gives the low error (10−2 to 10−17) and can easily derive deformation terms by spending very low CPU time. Based on the proposed method, the convergence rate, accuracy, and efficiency of the governing equations are demonstrated, and result outputs shown in tabular and graphically, which exhibit meaningful structures and advantages in science and engineering. The purpose of the study is to discuss the comparison of the linear and nonlinear stretching sheets on the heat transfer over a curved surface spiraling in a circle with radial distance R. Additionally the consequences of Soret–Dufour in the presence of injection velocity and heat source/sink are investigated in the article. Silver and Copper Oxide are taken as hybrid nanoparticles with water as foundation fluid. Leading equations are converted to nonlinear ordinary differential equations taking some relevant transformations and solved with the combination of the shooting method and RK‐4th order method. MAPLE software is used to plot graphs and numerical charts. Flow features are examined for different pertinent parameters. Physical quantities like Sherwood number, Nusselt number, and so forth, are evaluated numerically for different nondimensional numbers. The result substantiates that improving the Dufour number boost the fluid flow and fluid temperature but the opposite behavior is seen in the concentration profile. This article examines the squeezing motion of Cu–kerosene and Cu–water nanofluids with thermal radiation and magnetic field between two parallel sheets. By appropriate transformation, the governing nonlinear partial differential equations are converted into ordinary differential equations and then solved numerically by the Runge–Kutta technique. The motion characteristics have been examined with graphs by relevant parameters. A variety of fluid models are proposed, due to the uncertain flow diversity and rheological features of non‐Newtonian fluids, out of which, viscoelastic Oldroyd‐B nanofluid is considered here with a nonuniform heat source over a Riga plate using an nth‐order chemical reaction. The ever increasing demand for chemical reactions in hydrometallurgical, chemical, and biomedical industries necessitates studying the behavior of heat and mass transfer in the presence of chemical reaction; a few of its applications are manufacturing of glassware or ceramics, food processing, polymer production, particulate water inflows, dehydration and drying operations in the chemical industry, and numerous applications in agricultural fields and many branches of engineering and sciences. To solve the set of nonlinear DEs, which are found after applying a suitable transformation on the governing nonlinear PDEs, a robust numerical technique, such as the fourth‐order Runge–Kutta method, is employed in the current motion problem. Also, the influences of all substantial thermophysical parameters are discussed graphically and analytically. Heat transfer in mixed convection unsteady MHD flow of an incompressible nanofluid in a channel under the influence of heat source is studied. The channel with non-uniform walls temperature is taken in a perpendicular direction with a transverse magnetic field. Based on the substantial boundary conditions, three different flow conditions are examined. The problem is formed in PDEs with substantial boundary conditions. Four different forms of nanoparticles of identical volume fraction are employed in traditional base fluid water (H2O). Solutions for momentum and energy are attained by the perturbation method and examined graphically in different graphs. It is established that viscosity and thermal conductivity are the mainly well-known variables accountable for different results of velocity and temperature. Extrinsic magnetic fields are capable to set the thermal and physical properties of magnetic-nanofluids and regulate the flow and heat transfer characteristics. Applied magnetic field affects the thermal conductivity of magnetic-nanofluids and makes it aeolotropic. We consider water as a base fluid embedded with the two different types of aluminum alloy nano/particles namely AA 7072 and AA 7075. AA 7072 is a special type of heat treatable aluminum alloy with 98% Al and 1% of Zn with the additives such as Si, Fe and Cu etc. Similarly, AA 7075 contains 90% Al, 5–6% Zn, 2–3% Mg, 1–2% Cu with the additives as Si, Fe and Mn etc. The transformed governing partial differential equations are solved numerically using R-K based shooting technique. The diagrammatic and tabular results depict the effect of pertinent parameters on common profiles of interest. It is found that the heat transfer rate of water-AA 7075 is significantly high when compared with the heat transfer rate of water-AA 7072. It is also found that the increasing percentage of Cu leads to enhance the heat transfer rate. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
