Abstract: The present study established a time-saving technique for hydrogen uptake measurements using a high-pressure thermo-gravimetric analyzer (HPTGA). The critical buoyancy effects were considered in the analysis model. The HPTGA technique developed here for metal–organic frameworks (MOFs) was validated through independent experiments. The room temperature (RT) hydrogen uptake of MOFs via spillover was significantly enhanced by use of a bridge-building treatment. MOF samples with different structural parameters and RT hydrogen uptake performance can be prepared and manipulated through various factors affecting their synthesis. The structural evolution of MOFs within various steps during the synthesis and bridge-building processes were investigated by electron microscopy, nitrogen sorption isotherm analysis, and powder X-ray diffraction. During the last decade, peptide‐based nanomaterials are recognized as upcoming biomedical materials for tumor imaging and therapy. The rapid expansion of peptides and peptide derivatives is almost owing to their excellent biocompatibility, diverse bioactivity, potential biodegradability, specific biological recognition ability, and easy chemical modification characteristic. The present review outlines the development up to now concerning the design and biomedical applications of peptide‐based multifunctional nanomaterials, with an emphasis on their variegated therapeutic methods. Peptide‐based multifunctional nanomaterials are promising for tumor diagnosis and therapy. This review is divided into three parts based on the major functions of peptides, and developments concerning the design and biomedical applications of peptide‐based multifunctional nanomaterials are discussed. Abstract: Polyamic acid (PAA) solution in N, N-dimethylacetamide was mixed with one hemicyanine dye, DHEASPI-C1, to prepare the fluorescent polyimide (PI) web by electrospinning process (ESP). Firstly, dark orange-red PAA/DHEASPI-C1 web consisted of nanofibers about 10–100 nm, could be achieved using ESP at room temperature. Then thermal imidization for 4 h in vacuum oven (200 °C, 133 Pa) led to the cycloimidization of PAA into PI and the orange PI/ DHEASPI-C1 fluorescent web was successfully obtained. The single-photon emission fluorescent measurements showed that both electrospun PAA/DHEASPI-C1 web and PI/DHEASPI-C1 web had obvious fluorescent properties, moreover, their spectra peak locations were 604 nm and 602 nm respectively. Abstract Although photothermal therapy (PTT) and photodynamic therapy (PDT) are widely commended for tumor treatment recently, they still suffer severe challenges due to the non-specificity of photothermal agents (PTAs)/photosensitizers (PSs) and hypoxic tumor microenvironment. Here, an oxygen independent biomimetic nanoplatform based on carbon sphere dotted with cerium oxide and coated by cell membrane (MCSCe) was designed and synthesized with good biocompatibility, homologous targeting ability, and improved photophysical activity. Notably, MCSCe could realize accumulation of hydrogen peroxide (H 2 O 2) in tumor cells and hyperthermia under single laser (808 nm) irradiation, which were simultaneously utilized by itself to produce more toxic hydroxyl radical (OH). Resultantly, the synergistic therapeutic effect against tumor cells was obtained under near infrared (NIR) laser irradiation. Controlling the formation of largeand homogeneous arrays of bionanostructures through the self-assemblyapproach is still a great challenge. Here, we report the spontaneousformation of highly ordered arrays based on aligned peptide nanostructuresin a solution as well as at an interface by self-assembly. By controllingthe time and temperature of self-assembly in the solution, parallelfibrous alignments and more sophisticated two-dimensional “knitted”fibrous arrays could be formed from aligned rod-like fibers. Duringthe formation of such arrays, the “disorder-to-order”transitions are controlled by the temperature-responsible motile shorthydrophobic tails of the gemini-like amphiphilic peptides (GAPs) withasymmetric molecular conformation. In addition, the resulting long-range-ordered“knitted” fibrous arrays are able to direct mineralizationof calcium phosphate to form organic–inorganic composite materials.In this study, the self-assembly behavior of these peptide buildingblocks at an interface was also studied. Highly ordered spatial arrayswith vertically or horizontally aligned nanostructures such as nanofibers,microfibers, and microtubes could be formed through interfacial assembly.The regular structures and their alignments on the interface are controlledby the alkyl chain length of building blocks and the hydrophilicity/hydrophobicityproperty of the interface. Abstract: This paper demonstrated the preparation of temperature-responsive magnetomicelles that consist of a functionalized hexagonal magnetic core, Fe3O4-undecylenic acid (Fe3O4-UA), and an amphiphilic surface layer of temperature-responsive polymer. The functionalized magnetic Fe3O4-UA core was prepared by a suspension-oxidation reaction in an aqueous solution, during which the formation of the Fe3O4 and coordination of UA to the Fe3O4 occurred simultaneously. Amphiphilic poly(undecylenic acid-co-N-isopropylacrylamide) (P(UA-co-NIPAAm)) was grafted to the Fe3O4-UA core as a temperature-responsive micellar surface layer to prepare well dispersed Fe3O4-UA-g-P(UA-co-NIPAAm) magnetomicelles with the size of around 8nm in water. The application of resulted nanosized Fe3O4-UA-g-P(UA-co-NIPAAm) magnetomicelles in controlled drug delivery was further investigated and it was found that resulting magnetomicelles exhibited good potential for temperature triggered controlled drug release.
