The article describes the case of a 22-year-old Greek male presented with painless cutaneous lesions in the right lateral region of the neck. Topics covered include the findings of physical and laboratory examinations which led to the diagnosis of lymphocutaneous sporotrichosis, the response of the patient to oral itraconazole, and the challenge faced by dermatologists in the diagnosis and therapy of sporotrichosis.
