Abstract

The article presents a study on yellow dung fly, Scathophaga stercoraria (S. stercoraria), to determine the toxic effects of veterinary pharmaceuticals on farm animals. It looks into the biological distribution, ecology, behavior, life cycle and rearing method of S. stercoraria which feeds on the dung of livestock animals. It further mentions benefits of this eco-toxicological studies for the scientific community and government regulators.
