This dissertation focuses on issues of domestic violence (also known as domestic abuse) against men. It looks into the issue why male victims are not taken seriously by the Czech police forces. Domestic violence against men is less common than domestic violence against women. However those males affected by domestic abuse often struggle to find support in society and in the Czech law. They are often left to deal with the problems on their own. In many cases male victims are not treated seriously by society and police forces. It is very important to highlight this issue in society and find support by the Czech government. Abuse against men should be taken as seriously as violence on female victims. The focus should be on early intervention and prevention.

Criminalistic study of crime victims (criminalistic victimology) In this thesis I try to briefly outline some of the most important issues and topics concerning criminalistic victimology. I address both how the victim affects the crime itself and its investigation, but also how the crime investigation affects the victim. When investigating a specific criminal act, there are two major conflicting goals we try to achieve; to investigate as thoroughly and effectively as we can, and to avoid secondary victimization of the victim. Both professional and attentive approach is vital to criminalistics as a whole, not just criminalistic victimology. A successful investigation depends in many cases greatly on whether and how the victim cooperates, and that in turn depends on how the victims and the general public view the police, the courts, and other criminal justice authorities. It is therefore necessary to understand the victim, to comprehend their role in the formation of the criminal act, and to ensure their confidence in the criminal justice. This thesis opens with a brief summary of the subject's history, afterwards it explains the key concepts and expressions found in the paper. It then carries on to deal with the victim's part in the creation and preservation of evidence and in reporting the criminal act. The...

The work was focused on the practical application of selected provisions of act no. 45/2013 Coll. and from its results revealed that providers in your practice are finding that the provisions relating to particularly vulnerable victims, are defined too narrowly. Also the communication between the provider and the police is not yet ideally set.

This bachelor thesis deals with the complicated issue of homeless people, their mutual relationship with the Police of Czech Republic from the perspective of police officers who are with the homeless people in a daily contact.Bachelor thesis is divided into two parts, theoretical and empirical. Theoretical part formulates homelessness and sets out the factors that cause homelessness. Further it discusses the organizations and government bodies involved in this issue. Finally it deals with the situations in which police officers and homeless people come into contact with each other often. Empirical part that follows the theoretical part, constitutes a research. This section describes the assumptions and goals, as well as the research methods, research set and the results. In the conclusion of the bachlelor thesis there is a discussion that isdedicated to the found research results with the subsequent confirmation of the working hypothesis: the "basic expert training" of the police schools does not prepare the police officers sufficiently for the work with homeless people in theory and they get all their knowledge from practice, during the working process. On the contrary, the performed research contradicts the working hypothesis that the relationship between the Police and the homeless people is bad from the perspective of the police officers.
