Abstract

The article focuses on debilitating symptom associated with chronic diseases such as inflammatory disorders, heart disease and cancer for fatigue and described in patients with psoriatic arthritis (PsA). It mentions fatigue using a visual analogue scale (VAS) in patients with psoriasis and PsA and commencing phototherapy. It also mentions patients with PsA than in patients with psoriasis receiving phototherapy or systemic treatment.

Abstract

The article presents a case study of a 54-year-old obese man having plaque psoriasis with a bleeding erythematous nodule in the natal cleft. The Psoriasis Area and Severity Index (PASI) of the patient was 14.2 and his Dermatology Life Quality Index (DLQI) was 25 after four months of acitretin 50 milligrams (mg) daily. Liraglutide lessens body mass index (BMI) and improves insulin resistance, both of which correlate with the severity of psoriasis.
