The conclusions of EFSA following the peer review of the initial risk assessments and the peer review of the revised risk assessments carried out by the competent authorities of the rapporteur Member State, the Czech Republic, and co-rapporteur Member State, Ireland, for the pesticide active substance flurtamone are reported. The context of the peer review and the updated peer review was that required by Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) No 844/2012. The conclusions were reached on the basis of the evaluation of the representative uses of flurtamone as a herbicide on spring cereals (barley, wheat) and winter cereals (barley, oat, rye, triticale, wheat, spelt). The reliable end points, appropriate for use in regulatory risk assessment are presented. Missing information identified as being required by the regulatory framework is listed. In accordance with Article 6 of Regulation (EC) No 396/2005, the applicant Syngenta Crop Protection AG submitted a request to the competent national authority in Portugal to modify the existing maximum residue levels (MRL) for the active substance fluazifop-P in tomato, carrot and courgette. The data submitted in support of the request were found to be sufficient to derive MRL proposals for carrot and courgette. For tomato, data gaps were identified which precluded the derivation of MRL proposal. Adequate analytical methods for enforcement are available to control the residues of fluazifop-P in plant matrices under consideration. Based on the risk assessment results, EFSA concluded that the short-term and long-term intake of residues resulting from the use of fluazifop-P on carrots and courgettes according to the reported agricultural practices and the products of animal origin under consideration is unlikely to present a risk to consumer health. In accordance with Article 6 of Regulation (EC) No 396/2005, the applicant BASF SE submitted a request to the competent national authority in France to modify the existing maximum residue level (MRL) for the active substance prohexadione in plums. The data submitted in support of this MRL application were found to be sufficient to derive a MRL proposal for plums. Adequate analytical methods for enforcement are available to control the residues of prohexadione in plums. Based on the risk assessment results, EFSA concluded that the long-term intake of residues resulting from the use of prohexadione on plums is unlikely to present a risk to consumer health. In accordance with Article 6 of Regulation (EC) No 396/2005, the evaluating Member State (EMS), Belgium, compiled an application to modify the existing maximum residue level (MRL) for the active substance ametoctradin in the group of herbs and edible flowers, except sage and basil. The data submitted in support of the request were found to be sufficient to derive a MRL proposal for these herbs. An adequate analytical method for enforcement is available to control the residues of ametoctradin on the commodities under consideration. Based on the risk assessment results, EFSA concluded that the intake of residues resulting from the use of ametoctradin according to the reported agricultural practice is unlikely to present a risk to consumer health. The conclusions of EFSA following the peer review of the initial risk assessment carried out by the competent authority of the rapporteur Member State, the United Kingdom, for the pesticide active substance metazachlor are reported. The context of the peer review was that requested by the European Commission following the submission and evaluation of confirmatory data regarding the groundwater exposure of metabolites and their toxicological relevance triggering an assessment. The conclusions were reached on the basis of the evaluation of the representative uses of metazachlor as a herbicide on winter and spring rapeseed and on ornamental trees and shrubs. The reliable endpoints concluded as being appropriate for use in regulatory risk assessment, derived from the available studies and literature in the dossier peer reviewed, are presented. In accordance with Article 6 of Regulation (EC) No 396/2005, the applicant ADAMA Agricultural Solutions Ltd submitted a request to the competent national authority in Denmark to set an import tolerance for the active substance tebuconazole in beans with pods. The data submitted in support of the request were found to be sufficient to derive a maximum residue level (MRL) proposal of 3 mg/kg for beans with pods imported from Kenya. Adequate analytical methods for enforcement are available to control the residues of tebuconazole on this commodity. Based on the risk assessment results and assuming no change in the isomeric ratio, EFSA concluded that the short-term and long-term intake of residues of tebuconazole resulting from its use according to the reported agricultural practice is unlikely to present a risk to consumer health. In accordance with Article 6 of Regulation (EC) No 396/2005, the applicant Dow AgroSciences submitted an application to the competent national authority in Spain (evaluating Member State (EMS)) to modify maximum residue levels (MRLs) for the active substance chlorpyrifos‐methyl in kaki/Japanese persimmons and granate apples/pomegranates. The data submitted in support of this MRL application were found to be sufficient to derive MRL proposals for chlorpyrifos‐methyl and for the optional residue definition that refers to 3,5,6‐trichloropyridinol (3,5,6‐TCP) in the fruits under consideration. Adequate analytical methods for enforcement are available to control the residues of chlorpyrifos‐methyl in plant matrices under consideration. For the enforcement of 3,5,6‐TCP residues in the crops under consideration, the applicant has to perform validation of the hydrolysis step of analytical enforcement method and to submit an independent laboratory validation (ILV) for high acid content matrices. Based on the risk assessment results and provided that the conclusions of the MRL review are taken into consideration, EFSA concludes that the long‐term and short‐term intake of residues of chlorpyrifos‐methyl and metabolite 3,5,6‐TCP resulting from the existing and the intended uses is unlikely to present a risk to consumer health. The data submitted in support of the request were found to be sufficient to derive a MRL proposal of 0.4 mg/kg for citrus fruit under consideration. Adequate analytical methods for enforcement are available to control the residues of tau‐fluvalinate in the commodities under consideration. Based on the risk assessment results, EFSA concluded that the short‐term and long‐term intake of residues resulting from the use of tau‐fluvalinate on citrus fruits according to the reported agricultural practice is unlikely to present a risk to consumer health. The data submitted in support of the request are sufficient to derive a MRL proposal for the crop under consideration. An adequate analytical method for enforcement is available to control the residues of ethephon in kaki/Japanese persimmon fruits. Based on the risk assessment results, EFSA concluded that the short-term and long-term intake of residues resulting from the use of ethephon according to the reported agricultural practice is unlikely to present a risk to consumer health.
