Realizaremos en este artículo el trayecto de una investigación sobre el concepto de "potencia" (δύναμις) en los tratados alegóricos de Filón. Nuestro propósito es analizar esta urdimbre en tres niveles: 1) las potencias que construyen la alegoría del Arca y sus accesorios, especialmente compleja en el sentido de que según la exegesis filoniana, si a las cinco potencias se les suma el Logos, se corresponde el número con las seis ciudades de refugio a las que, según Nm 35. 15, puede escapar un homicida involuntario para protegerse de la venganza de los parientes de la víctima. 2) los poderes que colaboran con Dios cuando se lee en Gn 1. 26 el plural "'hagamos' al hombre a nuestra imagen y semejanza"; 3) las potencias del alma humana y en especial las del asceta -Jacob- representadas por sus dos mujeres, Raquel y Lía.This article gives an overview on the course of an investigation into the concept of "power" (δύναμις) in Philo's allegorical treatises. Our purpose is to analyze this network in three levels: 1) the 'powers' that build out the allegory of the Ark and its accessories, especially complex in the sense that, according to Philo exegesis, the five powers join to the Logos and so they correspond to the number six, as the towns which were given to the Levites, in Numbers 35.15, as cities of refuge, to which a person who has killed someone might flee; 2) the powers that collaborate with God when we read, in Genesis 1. 26, the plural "'let us make' the man in our image, according to our likeness", 3) the powers of the human soul and especially those of the ascetic -Jacob- represented by his two wives, Rachel and Leah.

Filón otorga a Israel una etimología novedosa para la hermenéutica bíblica que va a repetir la patrología posterior. Israel es "el que ve a Dios", "la raza vidente" o simplemente "el vidente". El elogio del sentido de la vista trae al texto filónico reminiscencias platónicas, pero nuestra investigación sigue especialmente el rastreo del término en la tradición de las Escrituras que consideran a Israel el pueblo elegido y sometido a normas determinadas y definidas por la autorrevelación de Dios. Observaremos además el alcance de la calidad de judío o prosélito en la obra de Filón y el modo en que el término Israel amplía generosamente sus márgenes para incluir en el concepto no solo la pertenencia a una nación (éthnos) sino a un género (génos) que se constituye en categoría filosófica.Philo gives Israel an etymology which is original in the biblical hermeneutics but will be repeated by the later Patrology. Israel is "he who sees God", "the race/ class, which is capable of seeing" or simply "the one that can see". The praise of the sight brings Platonic reminiscences to the Philonic texts, but our research especially follows the history of the term in the tradition of the Scriptures which consider Israel the chosen people submitted to established and defined rules by the revelation of God Himself. We'll see the range of the quality of being Jew or proselyte in the works of Philo and the way in which the term Israel generously expands its limits to include in the concept not only who belong to a nation (éthnos) but to a class (génos) that constitutes a philosophical category.

El breve texto de la Didaché fue 'redescubierto' hace ciento treinta y seis años (1873) y editado para la lectura y comentario de los estudiosos en 1883. Desde entonces no han cesado de producirse teorías e interpretaciones sobre la identidad de los autores y de la comunidad a la cual estuvo dirigida, así como sobre las fuentes, las perspectivas teológicas y la eclesiología que subyace bajo el intrincado tapiz de tópicos considerados fundacionales del cristianismo occidental. Nuestro objetivo es rescatar de la urdimbre de evidentes reescrituras los rasgos claramente judíos que se perciben como sustrato redaccional en los capítulos 1-6 -referidos a la enseñanza moral de los dos caminos-, en el capítulo 7 -relacionado con el bautismo- y en los capítulos 9-10 y 14, sobre la eucaristía.The brief text of the Didaché was 'rediscovered' a hundred and thirty-six years ago (1873) and it was edited for scholarly reading and analysis in 1883. Since then, several theories and interpretations have been proposed so as to its authors' identity, the audience it was written for, the sources and theological perspectives as well as the ecclesiology underlying the intricate tapestry of the topics which are considered to be foundations of the Western Christianity. Our aim in this paper is to look into the net of later rewritings for the Jew features, which can be clearly perceived as an early stratum in chapters 1-6 -referring to the moral teaching of the two ways-, in chapter 7 -related to the baptism- and in chapters 9-10 and 14 related to the Eucharistic.

En griego existen básicamente dos términos para referirse a la felicidad: eudaimonía y eutykhía. Nuestra investigación explora las acepciones del término eudaimonía en Filón, quien, como maestro y guía de la escuela judía de Alejandría, se aplicó en su extensa obra a la tarea de interpretar la ley mosaica con la terminología de la paideia griega. Por lo tanto, nuestra lectura del texto filoniano aborda sus dos pertenencias: la judía y la alejandrina. Resumimos las raíces helénicas en las aristotélicas y concentramos las interpretaciones alegóricas para el caso de eudaimonía en una figura paradigmática de la ontología filoniana: Isaac.In Greek, there are basically two words referring to happinness: eudaimonía and eutykhía. Our research explores the meanings of the term eudaimonía in Philo, who, as a master and guide of the Jewish school of Alexandria, applied himself in his wide work to the task of interpreting Mosaic Law with the terminology of the Greek paideia. Therefore, our reading of the Philonian text tackles their two sources: the Jewish and the Alexandrian. We summarized the Helenic roots in the Aristotelian ones and focused on the figure of the Philonian ontology, Isaac, as a paradigmatic case of eudaimonía in terms of allegoric interpretation.

En la actualidad se han incrementado las investigaciones sobre la identidad judía en las obras de Filón de Alejandría, así como el análisis de las definiciones del autor sobre sí mismo como judío. El primer objetivo es responder qué es ser judío según Filón y luego cómo se presenta en su obra la construcción de género: lo femenino en su doble vertiente de mujer y virgen. Después vinculamos judaísmo y matrilinealidad para dar una respuesta a la pregunta: qué es una madre judía según Filón.Nowadays many research works on Jewish identity in the works by Philo of Alexandria have focused on the author's definitions of himself as a Jew. The purpose of this paper is to answer who is a Jew according to Philo and how the construction of gender appears in his works as the feminine in its twofold aspect, woman and virgin. Finally, we connect Judaism and matrilineality to answer the question: who is a Jewish mother according to Philo.

La naturaleza de los textos filónicos que se analizan en este artículo permite esbozar las diferencias entre el modo hebreo y el modo griego de pensar el tiempo. En el pensamiento filosófico de Filón confluyen la concepción de temporalidad como ilimitada y eterna (concepción filosófica griega) y la doctrina de la revelación (hebrea). Es deudor indudable del Timeo de Platón cuando expresa que el tiempo es creado para que el universo sea imagen móvil de la eternidad, pero también de la larga tradición sobre la 'hebdómada' en referencia a los seis días bíblicos de la creación del mundo.The nature of the Philonic texts analysed in this article enables us to outline the differences between the Hebrew and the Greek way of thinking about time. The philosophical thought of Philo conflates the notion of time as unlimited and eternal (the conception of Greek philosophy) and the doctrine of revelation (Hebrew thinking). He is indubitably in debt to Plato's Timaeus when he affirms that time was created in order for the world to be the mobile image of eternity, but also to the broad tradition about the 'hebdomad' referring to the Biblical six days of the creation of world.
