Abstract

The article presents case study of an old male truck driver presented to the emergency department with an acute right lower limb injury. It examines that right foot was swollen with ecchymosis and there was a laceration over the Achilles tendon; and initial impression was an Achilles tendon injury with metatarsal fractures. It mentions that Foot radiographs and a subsequent computed tomography (CT) scan showed multiple fractures of the second to fourth metatarsals.

Abstract

The article presents a case study of a 21-year-old man presented with left shoulder pain for 1 year while training for a dragon boat race. The pain was intermittent in nature and increased in intensity when he was carrying a heavy load. Clinical examination revealed mild rotator cuff muscle tenderness with a full, painless range of motion. No muscle wasting was apparent and the acromioclavicular joint was nontender.

The article present a case study of a 16-year-old adolescent boy with right knee pain and swelling. Topics discussed include patient diagnosed with the isolated popliteus tendon avulsion fracture; knee radiographs showed a suprapatellar joint effusion with a bony fragment lying close to the lateral femoral condyle; and the popliteus tendon injury usually occurs in conjunction with other posterolateral corner injuries sucha s lateral collateral ligament tears.
