Summary: A new cultivar, Helichrysum 'Sun Burst' (Compositae: Inuleae: Gnaphaliinae), is introduced, described, and illustrated, based on material derived from a cross between a Turkish collection of H. orientale and H. arwae from the Yemen Arab Republic, growing in the Melon Yard, Alpine Nursery at the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew. Cultivation and propagation notes are provided. Observations on the diurnal rhythm of the capitula are made, as well as the overlapping flowering time of the parent species in the wild, but possessing a significantly different geographical distribution. Adlumia fungosa (Aiton) Greene ex Britton, Sterns & Poggenb., (Papaveraceae: Fumarioideae: Corydaleae) is described and illustrated, and its cultivation and propagation discussed. The position of Adlumia within the family and tribe is discussed and a key to its separation from the only other climbing genus, Dactylicapnos, is provided. The true insertion point of the inflorescences is commented on. One hypothesis is put forward for the outgrowths on the underside of the upper rachis sections, petiolules, and midribs of the pinnules in assisting the cirrhose portions of the leaves to grip their support. Cylindrocline lorencei A. J. Scott, a ‘Plant in Peril’, is described and illustrated, and its cultivation requirements provided. The species’ conservation status is commented on: once declared extinct in the wild, attempts have now been made to re-introduce the species into Mauritius. A very large nature print of Petasites japonicus (Sieb. & Zucc.) Maxim. subsp. giganteus Kitam., executed by Professor Keisuke Ito, was recently rediscovered in the collections of the Library, the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew. The subject of nature prints is discussed, as are attempts to reproduce such a print, and a short discourse on the artist, Prof. Ito, is given. The confusing taxonomic history of Petasites japonicus subsp. giganteus is discussed.
