A bisupporting Keggin-type polyoxometalate compound, {[CuII(phen)2]2[(HBW12O40)]}[CuIICl2(phen)]2· 2H2O (phen=1,10-phenathroline) (1), has been synthesized through the hydrothermal method and characterized by IR spectroscopy, elemental analysis, UV/Vis/NIR spectroscopy, and powder and single crystal X-ray diffraction. The bisupporting Keggin-polyoxometalate consists of one Keggin-type [HBW12O40]4− core and two covalently linked copper(II) complex fragments [Cu(phen)2]2+. In the crystal structure π···π interactions, C–H···Cl, O–H···Cl, O–H···O and C–H···O hydrogen bonds lead to a three-dimensional supramolecular structure. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Abstract: A novel copper(II) inorganic–organic hybrid compound [CuL(DMF)(CH3OH)]2(PMoVMoVI 11O40)·2DMF (L=phenyl 2-pyridyl ketone azine) 1 has been synthesized and characterized by IR, UV, elemental analysis and X-ray crystallography. Cu(II) atom has a distorted square pyramidal environment interconnecting with N3O2 donor set. In solid-state there are three types of Cπ interactions between adjacent [CuL(DMF)(CH3OH)]2+, which generate a two-dimensional (2D) layer. Adjacent 2D layers form porous channels in which polyoxoanions as templates are filled. Simultaneously, the oxygen atoms of polyoxoanion as electron acceptors feather multiple intermolecular hydrogen bonds, through which giving rise to a 3D supramolecular network. A new polyoxometalate-based inorganic-organic hybrid compound [(NH3C6H4)2SO2]2SiMo12O40·2CH3CN·CH3OH·2H2O has been synthesized and characterized by IR, UV, elemental analysis, and X-ray crystallography. [(NH3C6H4)2SO2]2+ cation balances the charge on the α-Keggin [SiMo12O40]4- anion. The cooperativity of intermolecular N−H···N, N−H···O, O−H···N and C−H···O hydrogen bonds link the subunits together to form a three-dimensional supramolecular framework. A new bisupporting metal-oxygen cluster with bicapped pseudo-Keggin compound [CuII{Cl0.5Cl(phen)}]2 {[PMoV6MoVI6O40(VIVO)2][CuII(phen)2]2}·2H2O (phen = 1,10-phenathroline) has been synthesized by hydrothermal method and characterized by elemental analysis, IR spectroscopy, TGA, XRPD, and single-crystal X-ray diffraction. The polyoxoanion consists of a bicapped vanadium Keggin polyoxoanion and two {[Cu(phen)]2}2+ subunits producing bisupporting bicapped Keggin-polyoxometalate structure. The isolated dinuclear unit [CuII{Cl0.5Cl(phen)}2]+ acts as the countercation in title compound. Abstract: A novel two-dimensional helical coordination polymer [Ag(CH3CN)4][Ag3(CH3CN)8(SiMo12O40)] (1) has been gained by the conventional self-assembly reaction, and characterized by IR, elemental analysis, UV, TG technique and X-ray single crystal diffraction. Each [SiMo12O40]4− cluster interconnects with three bimetallic cation subunits through three Mo–O–Ag bridges, meanwhile, each bimetallic cation subunit is surrounded by three [SiMo12O40]4− to form an unprecedented two-dimensional network structure. The metal–metal bonds between Ag(1) and Ag(2) atoms from the adjacent helical chains connects the chains together into a chiral 2D helical network. The 2D network structures are further interconnected with each other to form a 3D supramolecular network through multiform intermolecular hydrogen bonds. Abstract: The polyoxometalate-based 1D coordination polymer [Cu(DMF)6][PMoVMoVI 11O40Cu(DMF)4]·DMF 1 was synthesized and characterized by IR, UV spectroscopy and single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis. A novel compound, [{Gd(NMP)6}(PMo12O40)]n, has been synthesized and characterized by IR, and UV spectroscopy, and single crystal X-ray structural analysis. It forms an unprecedented one-dimensional zigzag chain built from alternating polyanions and cationic units through Mo–Ot–Gd–Ot–Mo links in the crystal. In the compound, Gd3+ is eight-coordinated with a bicapped trigonal prism geometry environment of oxygen atoms. The results of the single crystal X-ray diffraction analyses and IR are agreement and both show the metal cation units are coordinately bonded to the Keggin cluster. The UV spectrum of the title compound suggests that the compound is entirely dissociated in dilute solution. [Copyright &y& Elsevier]
