This study aims to contribute with knowledge about preschool teachers’ perspectives on documentation in the systematic quality work. The study uses a qualitative method where the collected empirical evidence is based on answers from 10 interviewed preschool teachers. The study is based on a phenomenographic method and the process of the analysis is based on post-constructionist theory. The result of the study shows that the preschool teachers describe two different ways to look at the purpose of documentation. One way described was to see the documentation as an important tool to acknowledge the children’s processes of learning and for the preschool teachers to see their own actions to further develop their profession. The other way, according to some preschool teachers, was to document for others. The preschool teachers described how they followed and documented each child's learning and development differently. Some preschool teachers expressed that the documentation was linked to projects and themes. Other preschool teachers, as the study interprets, follow and document the children through the stages of their development. The result of the analysis of documentation showed that some of the preschool teachers reflected and analyzed together with their team of co-workers. Many of the preschool teachers involved the children in the reflections while some of the preschool teachers did not analyze the documentation at all. Our conclusion is that there is a difference between how preschool teachers think and work with their documentation depending on their practical conditions, for example, time and competence. Studiens syfte var att bidra med kunskap om förskollärares perspektiv på dokumentation i det systematiska kvalitetsarbetet. Studien är av en kvalitativ metod där vår insamlade empiri består av svar från 10 intervjuade förskollärare. Studien bygger på en fenomenografisk metodansats och vi har utgått ifrån ett postkonstruktionistisk teoretiskt perspektiv i vår analysprocess. Studiens resultat visar på att förskollärarna har olika uppfattningar som genererade i två skilda sätt att se på syftet med dokumentationen. Det ena var att förskollärarna uttryckte att dokumentationen var ett viktigt redskap för att få syn på barns lärprocesser och att förskollärarna kunde använda dokumentationerna för att få syn på sitt eget agerande, för att kunna vidareutveckla sin profession. Det andra skilda sättet som några förskollärare ansåg, var att dokumentera för andra. Förskollärarna beskrev olika kring hur de följde och dokumenterade varje barns lärande och utveckling. En del förskollärare gav uttryck att dokumentationen var kopplad till projekt och teman. Andra förskollärare tolkar vi att de följer och dokumenterar barn utifrån deras utvecklingsstadier. I resultatets analys av dokumentation visade resultatet att en del av förskollärarna reflekterade och analyserade med sitt arbetslag. Många av förskollärarna involverade barnen i reflekterandet. Medan en del av förskollärarna inte analyserade dokumentationerna alls. Vår slutsats är att det är olika hur förskollärare tänker och gör med sin dokumentationer beroende på deras förutsättningar i praktiken, som exempelvis tid och kompetens.

Syftet med studien är att genom kvalitativa semistrukturerade intervjuer undersöka hur rektorer uppfattar sitt uppdrag kring systematiskt kvalitetsarbete i förskolans verksamhet. Studien har utgått från en fenomenografisk teori samt en fenomenografisk metodansats, detta för att redogöra samt synliggöra rektorernas uppfattningar inom ett fenomen. Det fenomenografiska perspektivet ger studien utrymme till att undersöka det fenomen som studien har som fokus. Nio rektorer har intervjuats, frågeställningarna riktades mot rektorernas uppfattning samt vad rektorerna anser att det finns för möjligheter och utmaningar i genomförandet av systematiskt kvalitetsarbete i verksamheten. Studiens resultat visar att det är rektorerna som lägger grunden men det är förskollärarna, barnskötarna och arbetslaget som gör det stora arbetet kring uppdraget med det systematiska kvalitetsarbetet. Om rektorerna inte lägger ramen och organiserar verktyg och strategier för uppdraget är det svårt för förskollärarna, barnskötarna och arbetslaget att genomföra och fullfölja sitt arbete kring systematiskt kvalitetsarbete baserat på de mål som står i läroplanen för förskolan. I studiens resultat framgår det även att det finns flertalet faktorer som påverkar arbetet. Slutsatser som lyfts fram från denna studie är att rektorers uppfattning kring sin egen del i det systematiska kvalitetsarbetet varierar. Det finns de som är djupt engagerade och delaktiga i arbete och ser till att verktyg som behövs för att utföra arbetet finns. Det finns även de rektorer som anser att det stora ansvaret ligger på förskollärarna, att det är förskollärarna som ska driva och genomföra kvalitetsarbetet. Dock har alla rektorer ett gemensamt förhållningssätt, och det är att det systematiska kvalitetsarbetet behövs för att kvalitetssäkra en likvärdig och bra undervisning. The purpose of the study is to investigate through qualitative semi-structured interviews how principals perceive their assignment regarding systematic quality work in preschool's activities. The study has been based on a phenomenographic theory and a phenomenographic methodological approach, this to account for and make visible the principals' perceptions within a phenomenon. The phenomenographic perspective gives the study room to investigate the phenomenon that the study has as focus. Nine principals were interviewed, the questions were directed at the principals' opinion and what the principals believe are opportunities and challenges in the implementation of systematic quality work in the organization. Our results show that it is the principals who lay the foundation, but it is the preschool teachers, childcarers and the work team who do the main work around the assignment with systematic quality work. If the principals do not set the framework and organize tools and strategies for the assignment, it is difficult for the preschool teachers, childminders, and the work team to carry out and complete their work on systematic quality work based on the goals stated in the curriculum for the preschool. The results of the study also show that there are several factors that affect the work. Conclusions that emerge from this study are that principals' perceptions of their own part in the systematic quality work vary. There are those who are deeply committed and involved in work and see that the tools needed to carry out the work are available. There are also principals who believe that the greatest responsibility lies with the preschool teachers, that it is the preschool teachers who must do most of the quality work. However, all principals have a common approach, and that is that systematic quality work is needed to ensure the quality of an equal and good teaching.

Förskolans uppdrag formas och förändras av samhället och det är upp till verksamma förskollärare att hålla sig uppdaterade och agera utifrån rådande styrdokument och uppdrag. Studien syfte är att lyfta hur förskollärare och förskollärarstudenters identifierar och relaterar sig själva till forskning i egen praktik, framför allt syftat till systematiskt kvalitetsarbete. Studien är gjord med digitala enkäter för att få en vid geografisk spridning och resulterade i 38 svar. Det framkommer att det finns ett glapp mellan kunskap och användande av kunskapen. Där utbildning och praktik inte når hela vägen fram till de intentioner som finns i styrdokumenten. Vetenskaplig grund och vikten av aktuell forskning ges mer plats i relationerna till vetenskap än det faktiska användandet av vetenskapliga strategier och även om dessa används så relaterar inte praktiken varför eller i vilket syfte. The preschool's mission is shaped and changed by society, and it is up to preschool teachers to stay up to date and act on the basis of prevailing governing documents and missions. The purpose of the study is to highlight how preschool teachers and preschool teacher students identify and relate themselves to research in their own practice, above all aimed at systematic quality work. The study was done with digital surveys to get a wide geographical spread and resulted in 38 responses. It appears that there is a gap between knowledge and the use of knowledge. Where education and practice do not reach all the way to the intentions contained in the governing documents. Scientific basis and the importance of current research are given more space in the relations to science than the actual use of scientific strategies and even if these are used, practice does not relate why or for what purpose.

Med utgångspunkt i hypotesen att förskollärare känner en osäkerhet i att möta barn i behov av anpassningar utifrån skrivelsen i förskolans läroplan var syftet med studien att synliggöra hur förskollärare ser på sin egen kompetens när det gäller att möta och anpassa för barn i behov av anpassningar i enlighet med förskolans läroplan (Skolverket, 2018) samt hur de önskar att kompetensen på området kan utökas. Empiriska data har samlats in med hjälp av semistrukturerade enkäter vilka konstruerades och sammanställdes i enkätverktyget Survey and Report. I Survey and Report skapades även de diagram som använts för att presentera resultatet. Enkäten genererade 69 svar från förskollärare vilka var medlemmar i en större facebookgrupp för personer verksamma inom förskolan. Resultatet visade att en majoritet av de som besvarat enkäten har arbetat mer än 6 år som förskollärare samt att en majoritet av respondenterna upplevde en ganska hög eller hög kompetens när det gäller att möta barns behov av anpassningar inom samtliga av de områden som studien belyser. Based on the hypothesis that preschool teachers feel insecure in meeting children in need of adjustments based on the demands in the preschool corriculum, the purpose of the study was to make visible how preschool teachers view their own competence when it comes to meeting and adjustingfor children in need of adjustments in accordance with the preschool corriculum (Skolverket, 2018) and how they wish the competence in the area can be expanded. Empirical data have been collected using semi-structured surveys which were constructed and compiled in the survey tool Survey and Report. The Survey and Report also created the diagrams used to present the results. The survey generated 69 responses from preschool teachers who were members of a larger Facebook group for people active in the preschool. The results showed that a majority of those who answered the questionaire had worked more than 6 years as preschool teachers and that a majority of the respondents experienced a fairly high or high level of competence in meeting children´s needs for adjustments in all of the areas covered by the study.

There is a lot of demand from society or the government to incorporate ICT into preschool and education in general. However, no research in this area has been found that specifically cites technology's capacity to address concerns connected to planning, and systematic quality work in the preschool context. Technology integration, on the other hand, has ramifications for teachers, who face first- and second-order barriers to technological acceptance. In this study, we identify the determinants of technology acceptance among preschool teachers in Sweden. This study follows a mixed-method approach that comprises 12 semi-structured interviews and a self-completion survey of 9 respondents. The qualitative results were analyzed by a thematic analysis process and the quantitative results with descriptive statistics. We identified that job relevance, external control, result demonstrability, output quality and internal control are the main determinants that play a crucial role in technological acceptance. We also found the persistence of the first-order barrier to the acceptance of technology. This finding contradicts an earlier study where it was stated that the first-order barriers were decreasing in schools. It was, however, discovered that several first-order obstacles in the form of external control factors still exist. Furthermore, it was also found that social factors such as voluntariness, image and subjective norm did not play a crucial role in technology acceptance. Finally, our results show that the use of technology has helped teachers in the documentation and planning, as well as identify the benefits of systematic quality work.

Problematiken med begreppet beprövad erfarenhet är att det inte finns några konkreta riktlinjer eller förklaringar kring hur arbetet ska ske utifrån beprövad erfarenhet. Syftet med studien är att skapa förståelse för hur förskollärare uppfattar arbetet med beprövad erfarenhet i förskolans verksamhet. För att få svar på frågeställningarna i syftet har en kvalitativ studie gjorts med utgångspunkt i det fenomenografiska perspektivet. Metoden som använts i studien är en kvalitativ webbenkät, som 18 förskollärare valde att delta i. I resultatet framkom det flera olika uppfattningar kring hur arbetet med beprövad erfarenhet sker i förskolans verksamhet. Det framkom att det finns likheter och skillnader i hur förskollärarna uppfattar arbetet med beprövad erfarenhet. Utifrån fenomenografi finns det inga rätt eller fel i hur enskilda individer uppfattar ett fenomen och studiens syfte är inte att finna svar på så vida något är rätt eller fel. Utan som tidigare nämns görs studien i syfte för att få en förståelse för hur förskollärare uppfattar arbetet med beprövad erfarenhet. I resultatet framkom det uppfattningar om vilken betydelse beprövad erfarenhet har, vilka hjälpmedel som används samt vilka utvecklingsmöjligheter som finns i relation till beprövad erfarenhet. Studien kan inte dra några generella slutsatser men resultatet visar att det finns en stor variation på arbetssätt i relation till beprövad erfarenhet. Slutligen diskuteras resultatet i förhållande till tidigare forskning, litteratur samt i relation till fenomenografi. The problem with the concept of proven experience is that there are no concrete guidelines or explanations about how the work should be done based on proven experience. The purpose of the study is to create an understanding of how preschool teachers perceive the work with proven experience in the preschool's activities. In order to get answers to the questions for the studies purpose, a qualitative study has been made based on the phenomenographic perspective. The method used in the study is a qualitative online survey, which 18 preschool teachers chose to participate in. The result revealed several different perceptions about how the work with proven experience takes place in the preschool's activities. It emerged that there are similarities and differences in how preschool teachers perceive the work with proven experience. Based on phenomenography, there is no right or wrong in how individuals perceive a phenomenon and the purpose of the study isn´t to find answers to the extent that something is right or wrong. But as previously mentioned, the study is made in order to gain an understanding of how preschool teachers perceive the work with proven experience. The results revealed perceptions of the significance of proven experience, what tools are used and what development opportunities there is in relation to proven experience. The study can´t draw any general conclusions, but the results show that there is a great variety of working methods in relation to proven experience. Finally, the results are discussed in relation to previous research, literature and in relation to phenomenography.

Den här uppsatsen handlar om utveckling och utvecklingsarbete på förskolan. Utveckling är ett välanvänt begrepp på förskolor runt om i Sverige. Det är begrepp som ofta används utan större eftertanke. Vad innebär egentligen utveckling och hur utvecklas något eller någon? I min uppsats undersöker jag faktorer som upplevs påverka utvecklingsarbetet i förskolans utbildning. Syftet med uppsatsen är att upptäcka små och stora aspekter som gör skillnad, för individen och för helheten i förskolans utvecklingsarbete. Mina forskningsfrågor är följande: – Vad innebär fenomenet utvecklingsarbete i förskolans utbildning? – Vilka möjligheter/svårigheter ser erfarna förskollärare i ett utvecklingsarbete? – Vilka faktorer påverkar utvecklingsprocessen? – Vilka former av praktisk och teoretisk kunskap krävs för att ett utvecklingsarbete ska ske? Empirin består av berättelser från min egen vardag, om upplevelser och tankar som genom åren kommit och gått. För att få perspektiv på det jag tror mig veta möter jag erfarna förskollärare, jag sitter med i olika samtalsforum samt träffar en fokusgrupp. Genom mina samtal och genom läsning av vetenskapliga och litterära texter uppmärksammar jag olika aspekter på utveckling och utvecklingsarbete i förskolan. Min undersökning visar att utvecklingsarbete är ett komplext fenomen. Små faktorer kan påverka om utveckling sker eller inte. Det finns faktorer som kan hjälpa till i ett utvecklingsarbete, men även faktorer som kan stjälpa ett utvecklingsarbete. Det finns ingen snabb lösning för att utveckling ska ske, det är en lång process som kräver ett engagemang från alla. Genom att uppmärksamma dessa aspekter kan vi förändra och utveckla vår förskolas utbildning mycket lättare. Att arbeta tillsammans kan vara en utmaning, men är även förskolans styrka. Vi behöver ta hjälp av varandra och arbeta tillsammans för att utveckling ska ske. Utveckling sker till stor del i vårt handlande, men det är inte vårt handlande som vi uppmärksammar och fokuserar på. Uppsatsen är indelad i fyra kapitel som visar på utvecklingsarbetets komplexitet: kultur, administrationsarbete, tillit och praktisk kunskap. This essay is about development and developmental work within preschools. Development is a well-acclaimed term within preschools in Sweden. A term usually used without much thought. What does development really mean and how does something or someone develop? In this essay I will investigate factors which are considered to have an influence on developmental work within the preschool’s educational system. The purpose of this essay is to discover small and large aspects that makes a difference for, both the individual and for the preschools, education in a developmental work. My research questions are as follows: - What does the phenomenon of development work mean for the preschool’s education? - What opportunities/difficulties does experienced preschool teachers see within a developmental work? - What factors influences the development process? - Which forms of practical and theoretical knowledge is demanded for a development work to proceed? This empiricism consists of stories from my own daily life, about experiences and thoughts that through the years have come and gone. To gain a perspective on my experiences, I participate in a couple of different discussion forums and I also see a focus group. Throughout my conversations and through reading scientific and literary texts, I draw attention to various aspects on development and development work within preschools. My research shows that development work is a complex phenomenon. Small factors can affect whether development takes place or not. There are factors that can help in a development work, but also factors that can overturn it. There is no quick fix for development to take place, it is a long process that requires commitment from everyone. By paying attention to these aspects, we can change and develop our preschool education much more easily. Working together can be a challenge, but it is also the strength of preschools. We need to support each other and work together for development to take place. Development takes place largely in our present actions rather than in the administrative work. The essay is divided into four chapters that show the complexity of the development work: culture, administration work, trust and practical knowledge.

Det systematiska kvalitetsarbetet grundar sig i dokumentation av förskolans verksamhet och syftar till att säkerhetsställa förskolans måluppfyllelse. Syftet är att undersöka vad tidigare forskning framställer som betydelsefullt för systematiskt kvalitetsarbete i förskolan, utifrån dokumentation om den dagliga praktiken. Den teoretiska grunden utgörs av ett socialkonstruktionistiskt perspektiv, vilket innebär att förskolan som institution är socialt konstruerad av de sociala aktörer som verkar där. Den valda metoden består av en systematisk litteraturstudie vilket innebär granskning och analys av nio publicerade vetenskapliga artiklar. Litteraturstudiens övergripande resultat visar att olika perspektiv påverkar dokumentationen innehåll, vilket även påverkar om den kan användas till det systematiska kvalitetsarbetet i förskolan. Slutsatsen från studien är att dokumentationen från förskolans verksamhet antingen kan användas för det systematiska kvalitetsarbetet eller inte, beroende på vilken typ av information den innehåller.

The purpose of the study is to investigate how educational documentations in systematic quality work are used in pre-school practice. What are the possibilities and limitations of the use of pedagogical documentation as an instrument in systematic quality work in pre-school practices? Referring to previous research, theory and empirical data collection, I was able to conduct this study. In the theoretical part, I made use of the constructionist learning perspective. In the empirical part, I used a qualitative research method with interviews and observation in order to gain understanding of the way pre-school teachers use pedagogical documentation in a learning perspective.The study shows that pedagogical documentation used in systematic quality work is associated with opportunities and difficulties. Participants described that pedagogical documentation provides opportunities for children to achieve their potential, and that it focuses on the individual needs of development. In other words, the benefit of using pedagogical documentation of systematic quality work became a tool for the educational quality in the operation. The teachers constantly have the ability to monitor, document and reflect on their work to ensure children's learning and development. This also creates opportunities for children to become active participants in the educational activities. Some of the difficulties are lack of time, children's group size and staff nonattendance. The study's participants also highlight that there is a need for increased staff competence in the use of technical educational tools.
