Objective: To report the experience of data collection for the multicenter study "Analysis of nurses' practices in primary health care - national mixed methods study" in the Amazonian context. Methods: This is an experience report from the stages of planning and data collection in the midst of numerous challenges that encompass the realization of studies in the state of Amazonas, added to the Covid-19 pandemic. Results: 100% of the interviews were conducted contemplating all the investigated dimensions. The online questionnaire of the survey was distributed to the 62 municipal health secretaries. The team attended all the national live events and participated effectively in the live event in the northern region, where they had the opportunity to share their experiences in the state. At the end of the data survey, the material produced was sent to the national and regional coordinators. Conclusion: The remote interview pointed to the reality of the context in which nurses develop their practices, showing the richness of the alternatives built to meet the health needs of the population. The experience added knowledge to the formation of undergraduate and graduate students in the participation of a multicenter study. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

PSYCHOLOGICAL vulnerability , *FAMILY health , *ECOLOGICAL research , *PRIMARY health care , *INSURANCE - Abstract
Objective: Apply the Social Vulnerability Index for the Federal District and compare it with the spatial distribution of coverage of the Extended Family Health and Primary Care Centers. Methods: This is an ecological study based on data from the demographic census, from the State Department of Health of the Federal District, as well as others made available by the Family Health Support Management. Results: It was found that 31.4% of the census sectors in the Federal District were classified as having a low level of social vulnerability, 47.8% medium, 12.2% high and 8.3% very high. Only 37.17% of the territory in the study scenario had coverage of the Extended Family Health and Primary Care coverage. When comparing the spatial distribution of these outcomes, a high extent of care gaps in the coverage of this service was observed, both in rural and urban sectors, and these are often classified into a greater stratum of vulnerability. Conclusion: It is recommended to use public policy management tools, such as the Social Vulnerability Index, for the redesign of the Health Care Network, with a view to tackling social inequities. - Abstract
Objective: to understand the organization of the production of health care in Primary Care. Method: qualitative study, carried out with 23 participants of the family health team by means of interview and systematic observation in seven Family Health Units of the central northern region of Bahia, between May and July 2017; data analysis oriented by Gadamerian hermeneutics. Results: the entrance door is selective; service flows are regulated by offering focused on some services, with long waiting and difficulties in scheduling appointments, besides being disjointed and insufficient for continuity of care. A lack of materials and precarious working conditions was observed. The evaluation is invisible, with insufficient actions to corroborate user satisfaction. Conclusion: there is an evident need for improvement in the organization of primary care and composition of primary care as an organizer of integral and resolute practices in the attention network. - Abstract
Objective: to evaluate Pentavalent vaccination coverage in children under one year old in the Brazilian regions and capitals and the coverage of the Family Health Strategy (FHS). Method: a study of a historical series with secondary data from national vaccine management systems and the FHS, from 2014 to 2018, analyzed by descriptive statistics. Results: the Brazilian regions have maintained Pentavalent vaccination coverage below 95% since 2017. The scope of the FHS did not significantly impact on the achievement of the recommended vaccination target. Conclusion: low vaccination coverage increases the risk for the reintroduction of controlled diseases. Access to the health services needs to be facilitated and vaccination prioritized when planning the actions of the FHS team. Nursing is able to create local actions to reverse this scenario, with the support of the managers to intensify campaigns and combat the causes that have hindered the achievement of the goals. COMMUNITY health workers , *PUBLIC health personnel , *COMMUNITY health services , *HUMAN reproduction , *TEENAGERS' sexual behavior - Abstract
Objective: to know the community health workers' perception of reproductive life planning carried out with adolescents. Method: a qualitative study with ten agents from a Family Health Basic Unit. The Focal Group was used for data collection. Content Analysis was used. Results: the agents believed in the importance of reproductive life planning with adolescents, considering the little intra-family dialogue and the difficulty in approaching the subject during home visits. They recognized the need to approach reproductive planning in a broader way, meeting self-knowledge, respecting others, and preventing violence. Conclusion: the agents' perception can be favored or impaired by a close relationship with health professionals. The theme should be discussed with adolescents, as many have no communication with their parents, representing a taboo in many homes, either for cultural reasons or because they believe it is an incentive to sexual practice. HOME care services , *PRIMARY care , *HEALTH care teams , *HEALTH education , *CONTINUING education , *EXTENDED families - Abstract
The article discusses home visits as a health care strategy within the scope of Primary Health Care in Brazil, based on the organization of health practices by the teams of the Extended Family Health and Primary Care Support Centers (NASF-AB). Based on the systematization of collective experiences and the problematization of daily practice, in a space of Permanent Health Education developed with inspiration from the techniques of the Operative Group, the reflections undertaken derive from a workshop held with professionals from NASF-AB, in the city of Recife, Pernambuco, as well as the experience accumulated by its authors in the development of home visits to users and families under their care. From the narrated experience, results are revealed as practical notes translated into issues to be considered by health teams in the planning, operationalization and evaluation processes of home visits, taking their productive power to achieve health acts focused on care and improving the situation health of the assisted population. The article concludes that when guided by the relationships established and the diverse exchanges of knowledge that emerge from them, the visits are configured as powerful technical-assistance and pedagogical strategies for the health care process, revealing positive effects in the monitoring of users and families. Objective: to analyze the performance of Family Health teams (eSF) in indicators of chronic diseases in Primary Health Care (PHC) in a municipality in the Brazilian Northeast. Method: ecological study carried out with secondary data from the Health Information System for Primary Care (SISAB), eSUS-APS (PEC) and the Situation Room of the Municipal Health Department of São Cristóvão, Sergipe. 24 eSF were evaluated in August/2022, considering the results of April/2022 in the Situation Room and monitoring module of health conditions of the PEC. Regarding SISAB, Previne Brasil indicators VI and VII in Q1 2022 were considered. Results: the eSF informed the follow-up of 3.625 hypertensive and 1.503 diabetic patients in the Situation Room, among which there were 2.790 (76.97%) and 1.211 (80.58%) citizens with such conditions active in the PEC, respectively. At the federal level, the municipal performance in indicator VI was 19% (numerator of 3.394 and estimated denominator of 18.081) and in VII, 13% (numerator of 757 and identified denominator of 5.764). However, applying the same calculation method with the SISAB numerator and the Situation Room denominator, the municipal performance would be 89% (VI) and 44% (VII). Conclusions: The number of hypertensive and diabetic patients being monitored in the municipal PHC was clearly below the territory's population estimates, with the need for an active search and strengthening of Care Lines. However, among the hypertensive patients monitored, there was a satisfactory performance in the Situation Room indicators, suggesting a review of the Previne Brasil calculation method, regarding the exclusion of self-reported individuals in these denominators.

Objective: to identify nurses' social representations about the relationship among prostitution, health and the Family Health Strategy. Method: qualitative study supported by the Theory of Social Representations, carried out with 12 nurses from the Family Health Strategy. Data collection used the Free Words Association technique and structured interviews. The data were organized using an association of the lexical content and the Collective Subject Discourse, presented in a figure and tables, analyzed in a descriptive and interpretative way. Results: the social representations of the nurses influence the actions and behaviors offered insofar as they are restricted to the sexual and reproductive sphere, to the detriment of the contextual aspects of everyday life, work and health. Conclusion: nurses' social representations link sexual practices to the risk of catching sexually transmitted infections and lacks the articulation of health promotion and the principle of integrality. - Abstract
Despite technological advances, many diseases are not amenable to curative therapy, becoming chronic and progressives, having death as his hopeless outcome. It is estimated that about 20 million people still die in the world without access and attention which could minimize his suffering and symptoms of the disease, chronic in the majority of the cases. Palliative Care (PC) is a growing area; however, the actual number of professionals trained to deal with the patient without expectation of curative therapy is insufficient. Through a narrative bibliographical review of the conceptual pillars of the Family Health Strategy, Primary Health Care and the principles of PC, this article aims to identify the points that make the intersection between the CP and the Family and Community Medicine (MFC), as they use similar attributes, which enable them to monitor patients whose specific symptoms of chronic diseases or those related to the end of life demand a need for differentiated training. This training allows for better management of patients and their families on issues related to the terminal illness, pain control and other symptoms involving care in many spheres (physical, social, cultural, psychological and spiritual) in an integrated and coordinated manner with the other health services. The Health Family Strategy has greater support capacity in terms of scope and continued monitoring of this population is what makes it a potential actor to ensure this health care. - Abstract
In 2002 three disciplines were created by the Integral Medicine Service, a result of curriculum changes promoted by the Faculty of Medical Sciences (FCM), State University of Rio de Janeiro, driven by the National Curricular Guidelines (NCG) 2001. The purpose of this paper is to present an experience report of thirteen years of implementation of the disciplines, which focus is the family approach in the Family Practice. The processes for the inclusion of the subject in the curriculum were relatively fast, but the fact that there had not been a broad curriculum reform at the time made it impossible to include this subject in other disciplines in the FCM. There were many challenges over the years to improve the teaching and learning of family approach in medical schools, whose importance is confirmed by the emphasis that the subject receives in the new NCG 2014. It is necessary that the family approach is perceived as a value and a practice to be incorporated over the six years of graduation. For this, we should take advantage of the curriculum reform of FCM currently underway and encourage teachers and students on the subject. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
