Warren Johansson was born Peter Joseph Wallfield and was renowned for his philological erudition and scholarship in history. As an activist, he used his talent and knowledge to further the cause of the gays, bringing out to light data and sources that document the gay world. He assisted authors of several watershed books, such as 'Greek Love,' by J.Z. Eglington and co-authored others, such as 'Outing: Shattering the Conspiracy of Silence,' with William A. Percy. He died from complications due to cancer.
