The following text tries to approach the selected phenomena of theatrotherapy, as an expressive-formative approach which exactly stands on an imagined border between art and therapy. The aim is to establish this approach as an independent and unique system with its inter-disciplinal relations, especially with the field of special pedagogy and classic psychotherapeutic approaches. When comparing the text we are stemming from the research carried out by the author between the years 2006 and 2016 and also from his long-term practical experience in the field as well as from his previous theoretical studies focused on this topic. We will try to define theatrotherapy as an independent creative approach, in terms of research we will clarify some theatrotherapeutic phenomena (paradoxical aim, specifics of theatrotherapeutic intervention and the introduction of a creactive approach). Furthermore, by means of a record of theatrotherapeutic supervision we will bring nearer the practical application of given methods and in the conclusion we will state possible forms of theatrotherapeutic intervention.
