The limited water supply of the Metropolitan Area of Mexico City has become a challenge for local companies. The region's aquifer is listed as closed due to pressure on the water supply as a result of growth in manufacturing as well as increased domestic water use. The environmental, economic and legal benefits of a cleaner production scenario studied were highly encouraging; implementation of cleaner technologies reduces water extraction by up to 16 times. While initial investment is high, the internal rate of return rate is approximately 35% per year, implying a three year return on initial investment. Under this scenario, the business complies with environmental regulations, avoiding great amounts of water extraction and future wastewater discharge, thus conserving this vital resource. Focal point of this review is to provide a comparative display of qualitative and quantitative methodologies employed for the appraisal of interacting energy and climate policies, underlying their key features while presenting the most critical issues and limitations not addressed so far. Qualitative approaches provide a descriptive explanatory analysis of often non-quantifiable process in policy interactions, whereas modeling approaches provide numerical data estimating the extent of policy interaction impacts. Quantitative methods work best for narrowly specified policy combinations, while contextual implications and cause-impact effects are explained further via qualitative ones. In addition most evaluations so far adopt a rational view of policies and policy interactions leaving out a systemic evaluation of the institutionalism of interacting policies. Research analysis of energy and climate policy interactions is still young in comparison to the broad field of policy evaluation and impact assessment. However infants inherently tend to grow. Endeavors for a methodological framework that would allow for a systematic exchange of data between qualitative and quantitative approaches and would also include the relevance of the context as well as key casual relationships behind policy combinations, would provide the basis for further growth of knowledge in the field. This paper presents a bibliometric analysis of scientific research on renewable energy in Africa, a rapidly growing field driven by the need for sustainable and accessible energy solutions. It highlights Africa's role as a hub for renewable energy innovation, with local researchers collaborating with global institutions to address the continent's unique energy challenges. This synergy is enhancing energy access in African communities and contributing to the global advancement of renewable technologies. The study meticulously examines 3,109 scientific publications from the Scopus database, spanning from 1979 to 2022. It analyzes the evolution, geographical distribution, and impact of these publications, with a focus on international collaborations and scientific output. Findings indicate that South Africa leads in productivity with 962 publications and hosts the top affiliating institutions in this domain. The study also reveals an exponential increase in renewable energy research, particularly from South Africa, the United States, and the United Kingdom, emphasizing the need for more collaborative efforts and knowledge exchange globally. This analysis provides critical insights into the current landscape of renewable energy research and pinpoints areas ripe for further exploration and development in this vital sector. In recent years, in order to address climate change and energy depletion, countries around the world have been constantly promoting energy transformation and structural upgrading. The effectiveness of RCEP has broadened the international east Asian new energy market. The development of renewable energy trade in the context of RCEP has attracted significant economic, environmental, and technical attention. Based on the background of RCEP in this study, the constant market share (CMS) model and the weighted dominant comparative advantage (IRCA) index are used to assess the export competitiveness of renewable energy products from 2006 to 2021. The data in this paper were obtained from the UN comtrade database according to the categorical statistics of HS codes. The results show that: (1) the overall competitiveness of Chinese renewable energy products shows an upward trend; (2) the comparative advantages of Chinese renewable energy products are strong, with some differences among different industries; (3) the growth effect is the main reason for the fluctuation of Chinese renewable energy product exports; and (4) the signing of RCEP has injected new vitality into Chinese renewable energy trade. Dedicating more attention to renewable energies and power electronic improvements results in increased direct current microgrids (DC MGs) application. However, DC MGs have some challenges with voltage adjustment and power sharing. To do so, a two-layer hierarchical control structure, including a new fully distributed secondary control strategy and conventional primary droop control method, is proposed and employed in this paper to share power and swiftly adjust the voltage accurately. Indeed, a distributedaveraging proportional-integral (DAPI) secondary control strategy is introduced. Another problem in DC MGs is the existence of constant power loads (CPLs), which may result in instability. To overcome the problems caused by CPLs, a term based on the output voltage of CPL is added to the proposed DAPI to prevent instability. The required control inputs are obtained using localized data of the DC bus and their neighbor's secondary control inputs inspired by cooperative control. Besides, this strategy needs no knowledge of the microgrid topology, which enhances flexibility. For validating the proposed DAPI strategy in DC MGs, an islanded DC MG is simulated in the MATLAB/SIMULINK software. Comparing the results with those obtained from another existing method proves the performance of the proposed DAPI controller under different scenarios of plug-and-play, communication failure, and load changes. The paper deals with the problems of maintaining Ukraine's grid reliability under high renewable electricity penetration and improving state policy measures to accelerate sustainable energy transition in the post-war period. Promoting renewable energy in Ukraine increased renewable electricity share in the country's electricity mix to 13.8% in 2021. However, such growth became critical for Ukraine's electric power system. Due to its inflexibility, the lack of balancing and energy storage capacities, adding significant amounts of renewable electricity to the grid created severe problems. Further renewable energy development required serious reforming policy measures, but the Russian invasion prevented introducing relevant legislative changes. At the same time, the war had an unprecedented impact on the Ukrainian energy sector, resulting in the damage of more than 50% of the energy infrastructure. Considering global trends towards decarbonisation and achieving climate neutrality, reconstructing Ukraine's electric power sector will be based on the large-scale involvement of renewable energy technologies. Given this, based on the study of the trends in renewable energy development in the pre-war and war-time periods and the analysis of the shortcomings of the state energy policy, the paper examines the required measures for fostering resilient reconstruction of Ukraine's electric power sector. Environmental product declarations (EPD) to EN 15804 provide information about the embodied carbon dioxide of construction products – their life cycle greenhouse gas emissions – alongside reporting the use of renewable and non-renewable primary energy and secondary fuels, among the other environmental indicators. As the number of EPD to EN 15804 increases, they become a useful data resource to consider these impacts. In moving towards a reduction in the embodied carbon of products, it is necessary to use renewable energy resources efficiently to allow the transition to net zero; this is because of the increasing demands on renewable energy to decarbonise industry, transport and domestic energy consumption and the limited capacity to expand renewable generation. This paper reviews published EPD data for structural and reinforcing steels, cement, bricks and structural timber products, and considers, for the cradle to gate 'product' life cycle stage, exploring the relationship of embodied carbon with embodied energy (total energy used), the balance of renewable and non-renewable energy, and the efficient use of energy. It is found, for bricks and timber, that EPD show products that use a greater percentage of renewable energy have higher embodied energy, suggesting a less efficient use of renewable energy for these products. The impact of different charging currents and surrounding temperatures has always been an important aspect of battery lifetime for various electric vehicles and energy storage equipment. This paper proposes a bidirectional long short-term memory model to quantify these impacts on the aging of gel batteries and calculate their state of health. The training data set of the bidirectional long short-term memory model is collected by charging and discharging the gel battery for 300 cycles in a temperature-controlled box and an automated charge and discharge device under different operating conditions. The testing set is generated by a small energy storage device equipped with small solar panels. Data for 220 cycles at different temperatures and charging currents were collected during the experiment. The results show that the mean absolute error (MAE) and root-mean-square error (RMSE) between the training set and testing set are 0.0133 and 0.0251, respectively. In addition to the proposed model providing high accuracy, the gel battery proved to be stable and long-lasting, which makes the gel battery an ideal energy storage solution for renewable energy. CO2 capture from coal power plants is an important and necessary solution to realizing carbon neutrality in China, but CCS demonstration deployment in power sector is far behind expectations. Hence, the reduction potential of energy consumption and cost for CCS and its competitiveness to renewable powers are very important to make roadmaps and policies toward carbon neutrality. Unlike the popular recognition that capturing CO2 from flue gases is technically and commercially mature, this paper notes that it has been proved to be technically feasible but far beyond technology maturity and high energy penalty leads to its immaturity and therefore causes high cost. Additionally, the potential energy penalty reduction of capture is investigated thermodynamically, and future CO2 avoidance cost is predicted and compared to renewable power (solar PV and onshore wind power). Results show that energy penalty for CO2 capture can be reduced by 48%-57%. When installation capacity reaches a similar scale to that of solar PV in China (250 GW), CO2 capture cost in coal power plants can be reduced from the current 28-40 US$/ton to 10-20 US$/ton, and efficiency upgrade contributes to 67%-75% in cost reduction for high coal price conditions. In China, CO2 capture in coal power plants can be cost competitive with solar PV and onshore wind power. But it is worth noting that the importance and share of CCS role in CO2 emission reduction is decreasing since renewable power is already well deployed and there is still a lack of large-scale CO2 capture demonstrations in China. Innovative capture technologies with low energy penalties need to be developed to promote CCS. The grid-connected photovoltaic (PV) system is an important technology for renewable energy applications. It usually consists of three main stages: a PV module, a DC/DC converter and a DC/AC inverter. In these PV systems, Power Conditioning System should have high efficiency and low cost. In this paper, a classification of possible power converter topologies for PV panel integration is introduced. Out of different topologies of DC/DC converter, series connection of boost converters is more suitable converter for PV applications. In order to simulate the steady state efficiencies of the series connection of boost converters and the inverter non-ideal averaged model of these power converters is developed. Then the different elements and control of the (PV) system are implemented in Matlab/Simulink. Using loss analysis, the benefits and drawbacks of series connection of boost converters are shown. The goals of this paper are to examine whether the environmental Kuznets curve (EKC) holds and to investigate whether renewable energy consumption can decrease CO2 emissions in the USA using monthly data spanning the period 2000:M01–2018:M07. For these purposes, the paper employs a cointegration test with a regime shift and observes the long-run coefficients before and after the regime shift. The findings support the presence of the EKC. The findings also indicate that renewable energy consumption has negative effects on CO2 emissions, while these effects are greater when the share of renewable energy consumption in total energy consumption is higher in the USA. To cope with global climate change and energy security, the realization of the low-carbon energy transition has become an inevitable choice for international carbon emission reduction requirements and energy structure adjustment. Vigorously developing renewable energy has become an essential part of energy policies in many countries. Under the incentive and guidance of renewable energy industry policy, China's renewable energy has developed rapidly, and energy structure has been optimized. However, many problems have been exposed. Can China's renewable energy industry policy effectively support low-carbon energy transition? This paper uses the method of theoretical analysis, combining literature analysis and data analysis. Based on the analysis of renewable energy policies in countries with relatively mature energy transitions, it analyzes the status quo, implementation effect, and problems of renewable energy policy in China and proposes policy suggestions. According to the research, the existing problems are as follows: (1) diminishing marginal effect of policies, (2) policy adjustment is not timely and lacks details and operability, (3) coordination conflicts between the old and new policies, (4) unreasonable policy supply structure, and (5) the negative impact of subsidy policy is increasing. In light of the recent announcement of the primary construction objectives of the modern energy system during the "14th Five-Year Plan", the renewable energy industry has experienced rapid growth. The accurate assessment of the effects of renewable energy accommodation driven by various factors under the synergistic influence of "Source-Grid-Load-Storage" is vital for guiding the scientific planning and rational arrangement of the future energy system. For this purpose, this paper comprehensively considers boundary conditions such as power demand, load characteristics, cross-regional transmission characteristics, renewable energy resources and output characteristics, as well as energy storage characteristics. Based on the principle of simulation of time series production, this paper establishes a model for evaluating renewable energy accommodation and introduces a continuous optimization solution method. Taking the renewable energy accommodation of the power grid in a Chinese region as a case, this paper constructs 16 representative scenes that satisfy the development plans of various factors in the region. In conjunction with the simulation results of these 16 scenes, this paper uses the Shapley value method to determine the increased accommodation capacity of renewable energy promoted by multiple factors under the synergistic effect. The analysis results show that the Shapley value method examines the entire development process from the current situation to the synergistic scenes. By comprehensively weighing all development scenes regarding the increased accommodation capacity of various factors, this paper quantifies the effects of each factor under the synergistic scenes. Offshore wind farms are great options for addressing the world's energy and climate change challenges, as well as meeting rising energy demand while taking environmental and economic impacts into account. Floating wind turbines, in specific, depict the next horizon in the sustainable renewable energy industry. In this study, a life-cycle cost analysis for floating offshore wind turbines is developed by combining the most recent data and parametric formulas from databases and relevant papers. The cost analysis models focused on cost minimization with special emphasis on Operation and Maintenance Cost (OPEX), Decommissioning Cost (DECOM), and Levelized Cost of Energy (LCOE), which are important factors in wind power economy. Given that floating wind energy is still developing, the presented scenarios should be beneficial in making future decisions. The cost analysis scenarios include on-site and off-site maintenance scenarios for OPEX. In addition, four alternative scenarios for DECOM have been examined: mechanical recycling, mechanical-incineration, incineration processes, and landfill. According to the findings of these scenarios, OPEX varies from 16.89 to 19.93 £/MWh and DECOM between 3.47 and 3.65 £/MWh, whilst the total LCOE varied from 50.67 to 66.73 £/MWh. Renewable energy production may offer advantages to human health by way of less pollution and fewer climate-change associated ill-health effects. Limited data suggests that renewable energy will also offer benefits to workers in the form of reduced occupational injury, illness and deaths. However, studies of worker safety and health in the industry are limited. The Mountain and Plains Education and Research Center (MAP ERC) Energy Summit held in April 2011 explored issues concerning worker health and safety in the renewable energy industry. The limited information on hazards of working in the renewable energy industry emphasizes the need for further research. Two basic approaches to guiding both prevention and future research should include: (1) applying lessons learned from other fields of occupational safety and health, particularly the extractive energy industry; and (2) utilizing knowledge of occupational hazards of specific materials and processes used in the renewable energy industry. Renewable energy technology innovation is the key to alleviating environmental issues. The Chinese government promotes corporate innovation in the renewable energy industry by providing R&D subsidies. This paper investigates the impact of R&D subsidies on innovation strategies in Chinese renewable energy listed firms from 2008 to 2017. The results show that R&D subsidies induce firms to adopt a manipulative innovation strategy that increases innovation quantity but reduces innovation quality, especially in regions with low marketization or unfair competition. We further find that the choice of manipulative innovation strategy is caused by the flawed subsidy distribution system and examination procedures of subsidy use. This paper deepens the understanding of the relationship between government subsidies and corporate innovation strategy and provides new enlightenments for emerging economies to enhance the effectiveness of subsidy policies. Fuel Cells (FCs) constitute an enabling technology for the integration of renewable energies and for the deployment of the next generation of power grids, the so-called Smart Grids/Microgrids. These devices perform the process of converting hydrogen into electricity without emitting pollutant emissions. Characteristic curves, mainly polarization curves, are a paramount resource to study the performance of FCs and to determine accurate models that fit their behavior. This paper presents the characterization of a commercial Polymer Electrolyte Membrane (PEM) FC consisting of 24 cells in series with a nominal output of 500 W, used to supply electricity in a Smart Microgrid involving renewable energies and hydrogen. The process evolution takes place under different laboratory conditions, so voltage, current, and hydrogen flow are measured and plotted to build the polarization curves. The equipment and components involved in the operation of the FC are described, as well as their technical features. Namely, a metal-hydride bottle is used to store the hydrogen that feeds the FC, an electronic programmable load establishes different charge conditions, and a precision multimeter collects the measurements provided by a set of sensors physically coupled to the FC. The characterization conducted in this research is envisioned to be used to build a digital twin of the FC. The developed experimentation and achieved results are described. A powerhouse under development, India is slowly breaking free from its traditional methods of operations. It has been chosen for analysis as it offers a plethora of diverse cultures and a variety of indigenous groups of people. Focusing on peer-to-peer energy trading and the development of blockchain technologies, unconventional methods are slowly being incorporated with the help of various experimental projects. This is backed up by peer-to-peer trading of energy providing a prosumer with an autonomous environment. The paper looks into the ongoing trends in this sector and major reforms that are required to bring about the necessary shift. Challenges and their recommendations are also been discussed along with the need to implement them. Four of the stations newly opened during the underground extension of the U2 line in Vienna in 2008 have been covering a large part of their heating and cooling needs for now almost one and a half decades by using geothermal energy, which is generated by means of energy diaphragm walls, energy piles and energy bottom slabs of the station buildings. As this was the first infrastructure building of this type and scale worldwide at the time of construction, one of the diaphragm walls of the Taborstraße station was equipped with numerous sensors to obtain data sets for the thermo-mechanical long-term behavior of these wall elements for the very first time. Continuous measurements with automatic data recording were initially carried out from April 2008 until May 2011. In October 2020, the measurements were resumed with the existing sensors, this time manually and once a month, in order to carry out a long-term comparison of the measurement data and to create a basis for assessing the effects of the geothermal operation on its structural components. This paper gives an overview of the Taborstraße station with a focus on the thermally activated geostructures and their instrumentation. A comparison of the recorded generated energy with the predicted heating and cooling demand is discussed in the context of the energy data. In addition, the temperature and the strain behavior of the observed energy diaphragm wall is discussed based on the measurement data collected over a period of around 14 years of operational experience. Existing approaches to indoor environmental quality in single-family residential buildings have been described, identifying their optimal preferred parameters for maintaining a human-healthy environment. The energy requirements for maintaining basic building systems (lighting, cooking, heating, ventilation, cooling) have been analyzed. Passive and active sources of energy production have been analyzed, prosumer buildings have been considered, and methods of obtaining maximum energy in winter periods and avoiding overheating of the building in summer periods have been discussed. Process schemes of using active shadow structures as an integral element with other systems acquiring energy from RES in single-family residential buildings have been presented. Architectural aspects of the use of energy-active shadow structures in residential buildings (single – family houses) have been presented together with alternative solutions. This paper presents process diagrams of the use of energy-active shadow integrated with other renewable energy sources used in single-family buildings, such as: BIPV, PVT and heat pumps, benefiting indoor environmental quality. Architectural considerations for the use of energy-active shadow structures in single-family homes have been presented along with alternative solutions. The purpose of this paper is to present a concept (especially effective in the summer) for an additional way to harvest electricity from energy-active shadows in single-family houses. As renewable energy production is intermittent, its application creates uncertainty in the level of supply. As a result, integrating an energy storage system (ESS) into renewable energy systems could be an effective strategy to provide energy systems with economic, technical, and environmental benefits. Compressed Air Energy Storage (CAES) has been realized in a variety of ways over the past decades. As a mechanical energy storage system, CAES has demonstrated its clear potential amongst all energy storage systems in terms of clean storage medium, high lifetime scalability, low self-discharge, long discharge times, relatively low capital costs, and high durability. However, its main drawbacks are its long response time, low depth of discharge, and low roundtrip efficiency (RTE). This paper provides a comprehensive review of CAES concepts and compressed air storage (CAS) options, indicating their individual strengths and weaknesses. In addition, the paper provides a comprehensive reference for planning and integrating different types of CAES into energy systems. In the modern era, computers using artificial intelligence (AI) and industry 4.0 have found acceptance since its application in renewable energy sectors thereby optimising the cost and efficiency of the equipment. Despite its importance, lack of comprehensive literature has been reported in the past highlighting its relationship with consumer behaviour (CB) in the market considering the modern women's in the sustainable energy field. Findings from 10 studies furnish that physiological, social, personal and economical aspects significantly impact women consumer behaviour when categorized on the perception for intention to buy, acceptance and need for recognition. The current review paper is the first distinguishable review highlighting the importance of stipulating the relationship between artificial intelligence and characteristics of consumer behaviour in the field of sustainable energies. The paper synthesises previous findings by developing a model with the aid of meta-analysis. The review and organization procedure were simultaneously verified. Eventually, outcomes of the review stipulated intention to buy area, which requires utmost importance in order to establish and maintain a healthy attitude of consumers towards women entrepreneurs and industry 4.0. In future, this review will establish a roadmap to researchers, thereby guiding to collect technology information and analyse the applications in sustainability and CB. Pollution haven hypothesis (PHH) assumes that polluting industries will move to regions with lesser rigorous environmental regulations. On the other hand, pollution halo hypothesis presumes that industries transfer their clean technologies through FDI inflows to the host countries. Following these theoretical perceptions, this paper empirically examines how foreign direct investment (FDI) affects pollution (CO2 emissions) for four selected Asian countries (Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand) over the period 1971-2014. This is done by applying the autoregressive distributed lags (ARDL) model of Pesaran et al.. The ARDL model is employed under two scenarios: without and with structural breaks. The long-run findings, for both scenarios, suggest support for the pollution haven hypothesis (PHH) for the Philippines only. Whereas, the findings lend support for the pollution halo hypothesis for Malaysia and Singapore. In addition, the paper explores the causality direction between FDI and pollution (CO2 emissions) using the Vector Error Correction model (VECM). The European Union (EU) has committed to becoming a global leader in renewable energy. Reaching this target implies fostering innovation activity to maximize the competitiveness of the European renewable industry. By relying on a case study approach based on a small number of in‐depth interviews with selected stakeholders, this paper illustrates one of the main factors hindering technological development in the renewable energy sector in Europe. More specifically, the paper focuses on the so‐called "valley of death," which traps promising technologies in a "limbo." While ready to be deployed from a technical standpoint, these technologies are not cost competitive and, paradoxically, only their widespread commercialization would allow to drive their cost down. The paper also identifies a mix of policy solutions that can effectively support the competitiveness of the EU renewable energy industry. In the field of research and development, the design of a Hybrid Renewable Energy System (HRES) has a general approach, however at the same time, there are some difficulties like their consumption and effectiveness. HRES are becoming more popular for standalone applications such as supplying electricity in rural areas due to increase in energy demand. The commonly accessible renewable energy sources in nature are solar, hydro, wind, biomass/biogas, etc., which need innovative technology to produce more amount of useful power from them. Numerous storage techniques can be used in the renewable energy system like compressed air energy storage, pumped hydro storage, hydrogen fuel cells, and flywheels, and so on, but there are certain parameters that should be kept in mind while choosing storage technology: efficiency, cost energy density, and power density. Two storage devices are considered in this paper; both are producing electricity as well as storage. However, while a battery makes electricity from the energy it has stored inside the battery, a fuel cell makes its electricity from fuel in an external fuel tank. This paper deals with modeling and simulation of a Hybrid Renewable Energy System (HRES) for off-grid electrification of rural areas. It consists of PV array, Proton Exchange Membrane (PEM) fuel cell, and battery along with seven levels Multi-level Inverter (MLI). In this paper, firstly, a dynamic model has been obtained in MATLAB/Simulink environment with the required processing. The increasing population and industrialization have increased the day-to-day demand for energy. Global warming and other climatic disasters caused by to burning of conventional fossil fuels have laid the need for an alternative and renewable fuel. Concurrently, the worldwide demand and production of bio-ethanol, a bio-based sustainable fuel, is increasing continuously. Fungal saccharification of lignocellulosic biomass takes place simultaneously with the secretion of various metabolites, which function as a catalytic system to liberate soluble sugars from insoluble composite biomass. Cellulase holds a major role in converting lignocellulosic feedstock into fermentable sugar. Fungi, especially filamentous fungi, preferably the Aspergillus species, are known to produce cellulase. Amongst the lignocellulosic biomass, rice straw is considered as one of the most attractive materials for producing bioethanol because of its high cellulosic and hemicellulosic content, which can be hydrolyzed into fermentable sugars. However, the recalcitrant nature of the substrate imposes considerable challenges and limitations to bioethanol production. To combat these challenges, various pretreatment techniques such as chemical, physical and physico-chemical processes are known to be effective enough to enhance the efficiency of enzymatic saccharification in order to make the complete process economically feasible. The present work deals with the isolation and selection of hypercellulase-producing fungal species. These species were used along with the pretreatment techniques either alone or in combination for efficient hydrolysis of rice straw to obtain the maximum amount of the released sugar. Waste to Energy (W to E) minimize the amount of waste sent to landfill, which also reduces negative impacts on the environment. This problem has been a common occurrence since the beginning of time. Waste to Energy will assist in the creation of a low-carbon society. Currently, the challenge behind reaching Eco-friendly space is a result of the continuity of incineration and landfill uncontrolled Municipal Solid waste on slopes and seashore. This environmental disaster as worldwide landfill is oversaturated and can collapse at any moment and cause dangerous damage to the environment. The average trash production increased phenomenally worldwide, resulting in numerous environmental and health concerns. The landfill's greatest height point reached 30 meters, which is much above the minimum-engineered height. Renewable Energy refers to a variety of treatment technologies that convert waste into sustainable development like electricity, heat, fuel or other usable material, as well as a variety of waste. Renewable Energy is divided into four categories: thermal, mechanical, thermochemical and biochemical. Therefore, this research aims to establish guidelines to Reuse the Landfills and create Eco-Friendly Spaces, explore the potential of landfills in reused as new recreational Eco-friendly spaces and to establish Renewable energy. To achieve this aim, the paper will follow a scientific methodology, starting with a literature review highlighting the definition of Waste to Energy, understanding its causes and types, then focus on different methods applying for this disaster and its relation to the city. As focused case study, this paper summarizes the methodology for applying Renewable Energy and transforming the mountain of garbage into entertainment and amusement park. This paper examines the relationship between shocks to the global crude oil market and commodity prices, and whether recent changes in US renewable energy policy have altered this relationship. Although other papers have studied the effect of oil price shocks on commodity prices (particularly agricultural commodity prices), this paper contributes to the literature in that it accounts for endogenous oil price shocks as in Kilian (). We find asymmetric responses in commodity index prices to endogenous oil price shocks, with oil demand shocks leading to higher energy and non‐energy commodity index prices for the full sample period and oil supply shocks producing less of an impact. We also find evidence of heterogeneity after changes in US energy policy in 2006, with a stronger relationship between oil and other commodity prices. Renewable Portfolio Standards (RPS) and carbon emission trading (CET) system are the top-level system design of China's energy low-carbon transformation, which have great strategic significance for realizing the "carbon peak in 2030 and carbon neutrality in 2060". At present, China's tradable green certificates market and CET market are still in the initial stage. The implementation single system may have diverse trials and errors in its initial stage, and the market activity and transaction frequency are low. Therefore, this paper aims to explore whether the synergistic effect between the two systems can effectively promote China's energy low-carbon transformation. This paper establishes the system dynamic model of the synergistic effect between the RPS and CET in China's electricity market to reveal the influence mechanism and the synergistic effect. The results show that: (1) There is a positive synergistic effect between the RPS and CET, which will change with the institutional parameters. (2) The simultaneous implementation of the RPS and CET can effectively stimulate market vitality and promote the development of the renewable energy industry. The paper presents an analysis of the development of the alternative energy market between 2010 and 2022 in seven Central European countries, namely Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Romania, Lithuania, Hungary, and Bulgaria. Analyzing changes in electricity generation from hydro, solar, wind and bioresources makes it possible to comprehensively assess trends in the development of alternative energy. The countries of Central and Eastern Europe are economically and climatically similar to Ukraine, so studying the development of their renewable energy is of scientific value for the drafting of both Ukrainian and European energy strategies in the context of the transforming global energy system. Additionally, the article discusses the impact of renewable energy development on the labor market, outlining potential challenges and threats to regional labor markets. Research conclusions confirm the practical development and effective implementation of RES in the European energy system, even in countries that do not take the lead in generating energy from renewable sources, i.e., in Central Europe. The demand for electricity in urban areas of the developing countries like Tanzania is increasing rapidly due to factors such as increasing population, expansion of economic activities and industrialization. Msigani ward is one of the fourteen (14) administrative urban wards in Ubungo Municipal, Dar es Salaam, located at latitude 6.8031 o S and longitude 39.1188 oE. Recently, there has been observed increase in power demand in this ward. This in turn has caused a supply deficit that sometimes led to large number of interruptions caused by frequent power outage and load shedding. The total capacity of the national grid is limited by long-standing drought. Therefore, the study whose results have been presented in this paper, focused on the assessment of renewable energy resources potential comprising solar and wind that can be used in improving electric power availability in urban areas particularly in Msigani ward. Wind speed data and solar insolation level for a long term of the past twelve years (2010-2021) acquired from NASA Power Data Access Viewer were used in this study. The study considered the worst-case scenarios for monthly solar insolation and wind speeds in order to have sustainable energy system at the time of little wind or solar. Homer Pro software was used for simulation and optimization of renewable energy resources. The study revealed that there is enough potential of wind and solar which can generate electricity for Msigani ward and supplement to the national grid. The cost simulation shows that the system can provide a cost of energy (COE) of $0.0399 per kWh ≈ TZS 93.3 per kWh which is lower in comparison to the residential grid tariff of TZS 350/kWh for residential consumers using above 75 kWh per month. We noticed that the Foggaras suffer from several problems, such as lack of maintenance and random excavation, in addition the pollution especially with sewage water. We also noticed that despite the abundance of renewable energy resources, especially solar and wind energy, these resources are rarely used for irrigation or pumping. Therefore, as responses to these issues, many proposals were presented, which are mostly related to the exploitation of renewable energies for pumping and irrigation with clean water and managing it rationally to obtain the best yield and promote sustainable development. As the climate change risks' effects on social development increase, how to deal with these challenges has become extremely urgent, and it is necessary for companies to adapt to the changing circumstances. This paper estimates the impact of climate policy uncertainty on corporate innovation using unbalanced panel data with 2,449 listed companies from 2009 to 2020. The findings show a significant positive correlation between climate policy uncertainty and corporate innovation investment. Specially, two possible mechanisms are explored. Government environmental regulations force companies to produce cleanly. Optimistic market expectations encourage firms to shift to a green development model. Further, the renewable energy industry and state-owned enterprises' powers of innovation are more robust. Jointly, our findings offer the government a clear direction for policy making by identifying the effects of climate policy uncertainty on corporate innovation. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

In isolated power systems with very high instantaneous shares of renewables, additional inertia should be used as a complementary resource to battery energy storage systems (BESSs) for improving frequency stability, which can be provided by synchronous condensers (SCs) integrated into the system. Therefore, this paper presents a methodology to infer the system dynamic security, with respect to key frequency indicators, following critical disturbances. Of particular interest is the evidence that multiple short-circuit locations should be considered as reference disturbances regarding the frequency stability in isolated power grids with high shares of renewables. Thus, an artificial neural network (ANN) structure was developed, aiming to predict the network frequency nadir and Rate of Change of Frequency (RoCoF), considering a certain operating scenario and disturbances. For the operating conditions where the system frequency indicators are violated, a methodology is proposed based on a gradient descent technique, which quantifies the minimum amount of additional synchronous inertia (SCs which need to be dispatch) that moves the system towards its dynamic security region, exploiting the trained ANN, and computing the sensitivity of its outputs with respect to the input defining the SC inertia. Aspects of regional and local sustainable development are turning into key elements of strategic planning documents in EU countries. The topic of sustainable development includes issues of both urban and peripheral areas. It encompasses the classic fields of environmental protection and green energy, as well as the parameters of social inclusion, creative capital development, community and neighbourhood building, etc. The paper reviews the implementation of sustainable development goals in Slovakia with a focus on the programme promoting green infrastructure and the practice of mixed-use urban spaces. The principles of green infrastructure are introduced in Slovakia in line with the concepts of NECONET ecological networks and ÚSES systems of territorial environmental sustainability. The 2030 Environmental Strategy of Slovakia covers three areas, namely water protection and biodiversity, climate change and air protection, and green economy. Prominence is given to the development of renewable energy in the country. The paper determines the main obstacles to the development of Slovakian green infrastructure compared to that of the EU. The Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT) is a peer-to-peer model of sharing data among collaborating parties in a decentralized manner. An example of DLT is a blockchain where data form blocks in an append-only chain. Software architecture description usually comprises multiple views. The paper concentrates on the Deployment view of the DLT solution within the 1+5 architectural views model. The authors have proposed Unified Modeling Language (UML) extensibility mechanisms to describe the needed additional semantic notation to model deployment details. The paper covers both the network and node levels. The proposed stereotypes and tagged values have enriched UML Deployment diagram. We have gathered those modeling elements in dedicated UML Profile for Distributed Ledger Deployment. We have applied the profile to model Deployment view of a renewable energy management system that uses R3 Corda framework. In response to pressures imposed on the energy sector, several countries in the Middle East-North Africa (MENA) region have committed to increasing the percentage of renewable energy to reach 15–50% of the energy supply by 2030. New governance models are required to conceptualise and guide the energy transition into a more sustainable direction. Therefore, this paper employed the transition management governance framework to answer the questions of who is governing the renewable energy transition in Palestine, and in what ways it is achieved. The analysis is based on three levels: strategic (problem structuring and envisioning), tactical (coalition building, developing transition agenda), and operational (mobilising actors and implementing experiments). Accordingly, key energy-related institutions are examined in terms of their visions, capacities and scope of influence using semi-structured interviews, roundtable discussions, and a survey. The conducted policy analysis suggests that the Palestinian energy sector started experiencing profound changes that affected all actors who had to adapt or transform to remain active, in addition to the rise of various multi-level actors. The analysis also shows that actors are more connected compared to the conventional energy system. Findings suggest that the spread of renewable technologies was not the outcome of only top–down schemes; instead, it is achieved throughout the collaboration of multi-level institutions and increasing reliance on horizontal-based governance networks. The paper uses examples to imply that it is possible to overcome the agglomeration of restrictions imposed on the Palestinian energy sector due to conflict if established regimes support governance networks and local-level initiatives. From the perspective of renewable energy industry investment, absorbing maximum power from renewable sources is a vital factor. Hence, an algorithm is required to change the operating point of renewable energy sources in different environment conditions accordingly. This paper proposes a novel algorithm for tracking the Maximum Power Point (MPP) of a Photovoltaic (PV) panel. In this paper, an auxiliary parameter based on the voltage and power of the PV panel is suggested. By adopting this parameter, independence of irradiation and temperature, the interval between the operating point and the MPP can be estimated. Furthermore, the range of the MPP voltage variations is calculated with respect to various irradiations and temperatures. Then, a novel fuzzy logic Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) algorithm is proposed based on the introduced parameter and voltage variations interval of the MPP. The proposed algorithm has appropriate respond to environment condition changes with proper speed and accuracy. In addition, unlike Hill Climbing (HC) and Perturb and Observe (P&O), the proposed method has no chattering in steady state. This paper proposes a method to measure robustness of weighted goal programming (WGP) models by focusing on random percentage changes in the set of observed technological coefficients that characterize the goal equations. The issue under consideration is to estimate the impact of the random percentage changes on the WGP deviations from the goal targets, the solution to the model before changes being kept equal. Normally distributed and independent percentage changes are assumed. As a result, a measure of robustness is obtained dependent on the parameters of the model, standard deviations of percentage changes, and the solution to the model before changes. A demonstration of the proposed robustness measure on an offshore wind-farm site location model from the literature is developed. The results indicate that robustness of proposed solution to the energy project is high.
