This panel at the annual conference of the European Association of Research Managers and Administrators (EARMA) explored the roles research managers and administrators (RMAs) have assumed in the Open Science space. We also considered the knowledge and skills RMAs bring to the Open Science space and discussedthe skills and support RMAs need to succeed in Open Science roles. The panel included 3 lightening talks by co-authors Daniel Spichtinger,NúriaBenítez Monforte, and Tadeu Fernando Nogueira. The lightening talks were interspersed by polls that engaged the audiencein the conference room (c. 100 RMAs). Following the lightening talks, we had an extended discussion and a Q&A session about the role of RMAs in the Open Science space. The main conclusions included that RMAs playa crucial role in coordinating Open Science implementation and practice and ensuring Open Science across the research project life cycle. RMAs often collaborate with other professionals in the Open Science space and act as translators/facilitators between the different stakeholders in the Open Science space. This record includes all materials produced by the panel, including the panel abstract, slides for the 3 lightening talks, and results of the 3 polls.
