Objective: This descriptive study was planned to assess the positive and negative ageist attitudes of individuals over the age of 18 years through social media, to determine the associated factors, and to develop suggestions. Materials and Methods: The study was conducted in June 2020 through social media with the participation of 328 individuals over the age of 18 years. Data were collected using the Positive and Negative Ageism Scale (PNAS) and an information form. Data were evaluated using means, percentages, standard deviation, and ANOVA and Tukey tests. Results: The mean total Positive and Negative Ageism Scale (PNAS) score was 90.29 ± 8.36. Conclusion: Educational status was found to have affected the mean PNAS total and subscores. Purpose: The research was planned with the purpose to determine the perception of patient safety culture of nurses. Procedure: Research was conducted with 265 nurses working at Erzurum Regional Training and Research Hospital located in Erzurum. "Information Form" and "Patient Safety Culture Hospital Survey" were used in the research. While analysing data seven different statistical analysis, which are frequency, percentage, t test, Mann Whitney U test, Kruskall Wallis test, Dunnet T3 Post Hoc test were used and these analysis's were carried out by SPSS 18.0 statistical package programme on the computer. Findings: Most of the nurses stated that the level of security in the hospital is acceptable. It is found that "Group work within Units" sub field (X: 3.78±0.471) was the highest, "Providing Staff" sub field (X: 2.83±0.471) was the lowest. It is detected that nurses do not report the defective incidents. There is a statistically obvious education are prone to report regarding reporting the incidents. Conclusion: It was determined that the patient safety culture of nurses acceptable and their education levels and job satisfaction found that a affected the patient safety culture sub dimension score means. Background: Workers must be aware of what is happening around and their behavior is going on unsafe in terms of work safety. Workers was not trained about negative impacts to the health of his work and the work itself about the hazards posed are not easy that workers can improve the high performance and efficiency. Objective: The aim of this descriptive study is to assess workers' opinions on worker health and safety and inservice education situations. Methodology: Population of the study consisted workers textile, cement, sugar and furniture factory working in Erzurum. 413 workers who selected using stratified sampling method and accepted to participate in the study were included in scope of the study. Data was collected using the questionnaire, containing descriptive characteristics of workers, and the occupational health and safety scale. Results: Most of (88.9%) the workers, use their personal equipment when necessary; 78.9% have never experienced an occupational accident; 55.7% of those who had an occupational accident experienced this accident due to environmental factors. Moreover; it is detected that 88.4% of the workers had in-service trainings; 45.8% have had these trainings regularly and that field of in-service trainings is generally 'methods of protection from accidents (67.6%)'. It is determined that 36.8% of workers do not have necessary information regarding professional diseases and are partially informed related to laws and regulations of occupational health and safety. Background: Caregiver or mother feeding styles are one mechanism through which children's preferences and food consumption patterns may be shaped. Caregiver or mother feeding styles have important implications for the development of children's eating patterns, particularly those styles that facilitate intake of healthy foods such as dairy, fruit, and vegetables. Objective: The aim of this research was to evaluate the reliability and validity of the Turkish version of Caregiver's Feeding Styles Questionnaire. Methods: This study was conducted with 183 mothers in Erzurum, which is a city located in eastern Turkey. The Turkish version of the CFSQ, which was originally prepared by Hughs et al., and a sociodemographic information form were used. The data were evaluated by using exploratory and confirmatory factor analyses and fit indices. Results: The factors revealed by factor analysis accounted for 41.31% of the total variance and had a two-factor structure. The Cronbach's a coefficients were 0.84 for demandingness, 0.60 for responsiveness, and 0.86 in total. Conclusion: The Turkish version of the CFSQ is a valid and reliable tool that can be used to evaluate the feeding styles of caregivers. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Objective: A healthy promotion is important for maintaining health and preventing complications in patients with type 2 diabetes. Aim: The aim of the present study was to examine the psychometrics of a recently developed tool that can be used to screen for a health‐promoting lifestyle in patients with type 2 diabetes. Method: Data were collected from outpatients attending diabetes clinics. The Type 2 Diabetes and Health Promotion Scale (T2DHPS) and a demographic questionnaire were administered to 295 participants. Forward–backward translation of the original English version was used to develop a Turkish version. Internal consistency of the scale was assessed by Cronbach's alpha. An explanatory factor analysis and confirmatory factor analysis used validity of the Type 2 Diabetes and Health Promotion Scale – Turkish version. Results: Kaiser‐Meyer‐Olkin (KMO) and Bartlett's sphericity tests showed that the sample met the criteria required for factor analysis. The reliability coefficient for the total scale was 0.84, and alpha coefficients for the subscales ranged from 0.57 to 0.92. A six‐factor solution was obtained that explained 59.3% of the total variance. The ratio of chi‐square statistics to degrees of freedom (χ2/df) 3.30 (χ2 = 1157.48/SD = 350); error of root mean square approximation (RMSEA) 0.061; GFI value of 0.91 and comparative fit index (CFI) value was obtained as 0.91. Conclusions: Turkish version of The T2DHPS is a valid and reliable tool that can be used to assess patients’ health‐promoting lifestyle behaviours. Introduction: This study aimed to determine the disability levels of women with migraines in their daily life activities and the factors that affect them. Methods: This descriptive study included 65 outpatient women who were diagnosed with migraines in the neurological polyclinic of a hospital in the city of Erzurum. The study data were obtained using a questionnaire about their introductory characteristics and the Migraine Disability Assessment Scale.(MIDAS). The data were analysed using SPSS 18. Results: The study found the total mean MIDAS score of women with migraines to be 10.66±11.46. The study showed that there was a statistically significant difference (p<.05) between the total MIDAS scores and education levels. The mean scores of women with higher education were significantly higher than the mean scores of women who had only attended primary or high school. Analysis of the women’s’ functional disabilities due to migraines determined of the women 33.8% suffered no or quite low loss, 26.2% suffered low loss, 23.1% suffered moderate loss, and 16.9% suffered severe loss. Discussion and Conclusions: The study revealed that women experience medium level disability in their daily life activities. It was also determined that women experience more medium-level disability due to migraines in their daily life activities with increasing educational status. The results showed that determining the disability levels of women with migraines in their daily life activities is important for planning and implementing the required nursing interventions to increase women’s independence in those activities. This descriptive study was conducted to determine the levels of self-efficacy and caregiver burden experienced by caregivers for patients with cancer. The study was conducted at the oncology clinic of a hospital in Erzurum city, Turkey. The study sample consisted of 101 caregivers of patients hospitalized with a diagnosis of cancer. The Self-Efficacy Scale Turkish version and the Zarit Caregiver Burden Scale, which is a sociodemographic questionnaire, were used for data collection. The level for the burden of care for caregivers to patients with cancer was moderate, and the level of self-efficacy was moderate. A statistically significant, positive relationship was found between the scores for the Care Burden Scale and the Completing Behavior Subscale (r = 0.213; P < .05). A statistically significant, negative relationship was observed between the mean scores of the Care Burden Scale with Self-Efficacy Scale's total score (r = -0.104; P < .05), Sustaining Behavior Subscale (r = -0.324; P < .01), and Initiating Behavior Subscale (r = -0.199; P ≤ .05). Therefore, initiatives focused on self-efficacy levels should be developed to increase the abilities of caregivers for patients with cancer. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Aim: The aim of this study is to determine the anticoagulant satisfaction levels of anticoagulant used patients. Material and Method: This descriptive research, study was conducted with 96 patients (35 males, 61 females; mean age 61.18±13.15) who visited a cardiology polyclinic of a hospital. A socio-demographic information form and the Duke Anticoagulation Satisfaction Scale (DASS) which assesses the needs and perceptions of patients who use anticoagulant were used as data collection tools. The validity and reliability study for the DASS was conducted by Yildirim and Temel. Its internal consistency coefficient is 0.89.\ In this study, its internal consistency coefficient was found to be .87. The data were analyzed using the SPSS 18.00 package program. Results: The participants' DASS total mean score was found to be 86.34±20.63. The patients' hassles and burdens sub-dimension mean scores were 28.44±11.48, and their positive psychological impacts sub-dimension mean scores were 25.44±7.74. Their limitations sub-dimension mean scores were 32.44±12.24. A significant correlation was found between the age groups and the scale mean scores (p<.05), while there was no significant correlation between their scores and education level or gender (p>.05). A strong, positive correlation was also found between the limitations sub-dimension and the hassles and burdens sub-dimension of the scale (r:.729, p<.001). A negative, statistically significant correlation was found between the positive psychological impacts sub-dimension scores (r:-.316, p<.01). A strong, positive and statistically significant correlation was found between the hassles and burdens mean scores and DASS total mean scores (r:.860, p<.001). Conclusion: This study revealed that the satisfaction levels and life quality perceptions of patients who received anticoagulant treatment were poor. Moreover, the anticoagulant satisfaction levels and life quality perceptions of younger patients were poorer. Further studies examining the satisfaction and life quality of anticoagulant used patients while using anticoagulant medicine should be conducted. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
