This study was conducted to investigate the changes in some plant properties of buckwheat that are important for beekeeping, according to different sowing times and counting times. Güneş variety of buckwheat was used as plant material, and the study was established in the ecological conditions of Bingöl province between 2021 and 2022. Four sowing times were chosen as the study subject and the effects of these sowing times on some important plant characteristics of buckwheat in terms of beekeeping were examined with observations and examinations taken on different days. It was observed that there were statistically significant differences between sowing times in terms of plant height, number of inflorescences per plant, number of plants per square meter, number of inflorescences per square meter, seed yield and thousand-seed weight. It was determined that the first and second sowing times gave the highest values in terms of plant height, number of inflorescences per plant and thousand grain weight, and only the first sowing time in terms of plant and inflorescences numbers per square meter and seed yield. As a result, it was concluded that buckwheat sowing as early as possible (second half of April) would be advantageous for the producers in terms of both beekeeping and seed production in Bingöl province and similar ecological conditions.
