Examined prevalence of stress symptoms among 808 farm men and women, identified occupational stressors associated with high stress levels, and provided diagnostic indicants of symptoms most predictive of overall high stress levels. Revealed that farmers were experiencing various occupational stressors and were showing numerous symptoms. Findings hold implications for educational preventive programming. (Author/NB)

Assigned 100 college students classified as high or low anxiety subjects by scores on State-Trait Anxiety Inventory to relaxation training or to imagery treatment. Found that both treatments significantly reduced cognitive anxiety; there were no significant differences between treatments. High anxiety subjects significantly decreased trait and somatic anxiety scores while low anxiety subjects increased trait anxiety scores. (Author/NB)
