Organizations are advised to consistently seek and assimilate novel information from external sources to enhance their adsorptive capacity and better understand and address environmental challenges. Despite the evident influence of external knowledge on absorptive capacity and green innovation performance (GIP), there is a notable dearth of discussion on the internal mechanisms facilitating this transformation, potentially leading to adverse consequences for GIP. In response to this gap, our research intends to explore the direct impact of organizational forgetting (OF) on GIP, both independently and through potential absorptive capacity (PAC) and realized absorptive capacity (RAC). Further, this investigation incorporates the moderating role of organizational improvisation (OI) to provide a comprehensive understanding of an encompassing model. Utilizing structural equation modeling (SEM) on data from 321 respondents from Chinese manufacturing firms, our findings reveal that OF significantly contributes to GIP, PAC, and RAC. Moreover, this association is partially mediated by both PAC and RAC. Further, OI expressively moderated the targeted relationships in confounding ways. Importance–performance map analysis also highlights the pivotal role of PAC with a notable performance value (68.812), while OF takes precedence in importance with a substantial value (0.572) compared to all exogenous variables. These insights contribute to an enriched understanding of the vital role OF plays in enhancing PAC, RAC, OI, and GIP—an aspect that has yielded inconsistent results in prior studies. Consequently, our findings advocate for increased investment by managers and policymakers in cultivating the capacity to absorb new knowledge as a strategic imperative for fostering innovation and GIP within industries. Purpose: Online health communities (OHCs) have been recognized as emerging platforms on the Internet used for health purposes. Despite its emergence, developing a successful OHC is still a challenge. Prior studies identified that value co-creation behavior (VCB) of members is an essential factor for sustaining OHCs; however, little is known about how members' behavior drives to co-create value? Therefore, this study aims to discover the inclusive mechanism for members' VCB in OHCs. Design/methodology/approach: The authors develop the study model and hypothesis based on the service-dominant logic of value co-creation theory and social support (SS) literature. The survey data of 608 active OHCs users in China were analyzed using partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM). Findings: The results revealed that SS positively affects members' VCBs. Ethical aspects; Trust and ethical interaction (EI) partially mediate their relationships. In addition, community members' current health status (CHS) negatively moderates the relationships between SS and VCB. From the findings, it becomes evident that only SS is not enough; developing an ethical environment in OHCs, i.e. trust and ethically rich interactions among members, significantly helps OHCs to promote co-creation. Also, the negative moderation of CHS findings provides novel insights when cramming health conditions. Originality/value: Exploring the complex mechanism of co-creation in OHC, the authors illustrate the potential of service-dominant logic to create new theoretical insight for healthcare and provide the framework of co-creation with ethics for the first time. This will extend the application of ethics in healthcare services and offer a robust platform from which the understanding of drivers of members' VCB can be advanced in the OHC context. Due to growing consciousness and pressure from concerned stakeholders, organizations have started to prioritize green management practices (GMP); however, little is known about the critical role of organizational motives (OM) for achieving GMP. Following the stakeholder theory, this study intends to examine the relationship between stakeholders' pressure (STP), organizational motives (OM), and GMP in an encompassing model. Three hundred and eight responses were collected from the Pakistani manufacturing industry, and hypotheses were confirmed employing structural equation modeling (SEM). Empirical results indicate that primary and secondary stakeholders' pressure has a substantial effect on OM. Further, each motive, such as instrumental, relational, and moral, substantially impacts GMP. Besides, OM has been found to partially mediate the relationship. Importance-performance analysis specified that the importance and performance values of STP are higher than OM for GMP. The conclusion emphasizes the essential role that STP can play in realizing GMP in manufacturing industries through OM. These novel findings suggest worthy insights for managerial staff and policymakers on enhancing GMP adoption through OM in emerging economies. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Organizational decisions and their motivations are crucial for successfully implementing sustainable sourcing practices (SSP). Still, there is scant research on how SSPs are impacted by corporate motives (CM). To fill this research gap, we formed a three-tiered stakeholder theory (ST) based paradigm that accounts for the moderating impact of regulatory pressure (RP) while examining the relationship between different types of corporate motives (instrumental, relational, and moral) and SSP. Partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) was used to examine data collected from 248 respondents in the Pakistani manufacturing industry. The outputs of SEM disclosed that all CMs affect SSP. RP also confoundedly moderated these targeted relationships. Importance performance map analysis (IPMA) showed that regulatory pressure (0.319) and relational motives (67.38) are more important and perform better than all other exogenous variables. This study sheds light on corporate strategies and decision-making in multi ways. All dimensions of CM greatly enhance SSP directly and through RP, as RP firmly moderates these associations, indicating the relevance of ST. Finally, this empirical investigation ends with a framework of testable assertions and many future research endeavors on environmental sustainability. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Green innovations are being deployed in manufacturing industries to promote organisational sustainability by embracing sustainable development practices (SDPs). However, little is known about how corporate green innovation (CGI) is influenced by the knowledge management process (KMP). To fill this gap, we have developed a multidimensional framework based on the resource‐based view (RBV) theory that provides a foundation for sculpturing the process by which KMP was observed to capture and sustain CGI through SDPs. Data were collected from 393 respondents of large‐ and medium‐sized manufacturing corporations in Pakistan and analysed using partial least squares structural equation modelling (SEM) and fuzzy set qualitative comparative analysis (fsQCA). This study provides several key findings. First, KMP dimensions (acquisition, dissemination and application) significantly improve the SDPs' dimensions (environment, economic and social). Second, SDP dimensions play a significant role in achieving CGI. Third, the implementation of SDPs partially mediates the relationship between the KMP and CGI. Furthermore, the fsQCA results signify the robustness of all integrated constructs. Our results demonstrate that investing in and adopting the latest technologies and sustainable practices are not only valuable for long‐term success but the soft concerns such as managing organisational knowledge are also vital in the current knowledge‐based economy. Finally, in light of our findings, theoretical and managerial implications, with propositions for future studies, have been provided at the end of the paper. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Purpose: Growing evidence asserts that individuals are inclined to buy impulsively in the social commerce environment due to interactive elements. However, extant literature does not reveal the influence of emerging digital celebrities and their communities on impulse buying, although users may encounter them synchronously. Hence, this study explores the impact of parasocial relationships and social climate on impulse buying following the stimulus–organism–response framework with the incorporation of the urge to buy. Besides, this research investigates the role of hedonic and utility gratification-seeking behavior in parasocial relationships following uses and gratifications theory (UGT). Design/methodology/approach: An empirical research study was conducted on Facebook, and data were collected from Pakistani users who followed digital celebrities. Partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) approach was employed to analyze the valid data of 231 respondents. Findings: The results indicate that integrated constructs significantly influence impulse buying with complementary partial mediation of urge to buy. Besides, social climate significantly interacts the relationship of parasocial relationships and impulse buying. Further, passing time, enjoyment and information seeking has a significant impact on parasocial relationships, except for self-presentation. Originality/value: This research provides key knowledge to comprehend the overall phenomenon of emerging digital celebrities through the integration of their parasocial relationships and the social climate of their communities, with potential intervening and interaction effects. This study also unveils the role of gratifications in building digital celebrities' parasocial relationships. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

GAMIFICATION ,COMPARATIVE studies ,STRUCTURAL equation modeling ,PARTIAL least squares regression ,SUSTAINABILITY - Abstract
Contemporary technologies have facilitated the development of gamification. It can potentially shape individuals' behavior; however, how gamification influences their sustainable purchasing is still unexplored. Drawing on the framework of behavioral reasoning theory and the theory of gamified learning, this research not only investigates the association of value and sustainable purchases with the integration of contextual boundary factors in users but also explores the perspective of non-users. This comparative study focuses on gamification platforms such as Ant Forest, and the valid data of 320 users and 238 non-users is assessed through partial least square structural equation modeling. Results unveil the significant role of value entrenched in gamified learning in perceptive mechanisms; nevertheless, substantial impacts of reasons for, reasons against, and sustainable purchasing attitude, including the moderating effect of perceived sustainable expertise, are distinctive between both samples. However, most of the hypotheses are supported. This study provides novel insights to comprehend the gamification avenue, which contains the potential to bolster sustainable purchasing and ultimately attain the objective of sustainable development. • A framework is proposed based on behavioral reasoning theory in the context of gamification. • Gamified learning has a significant impact on sustainable purchasing attitudes. • Contextual reasoning elements play a meaningful role in shaping attitudes and sustainable purchasing intentions. • Interaction effects of sustainable expertise are meaningfully different between users and nonusers. • Findings of 320 users and 238 nonusers reveal that most relationships are significant; however, results differ between users and nonusers. Social media influencers have been persuading their followers' shopping experiences according to their reach; however, limited studies unveil the influence of macro-influencers (MIFs) on followers' impulsive decisions. This research divulges the role of MIFs posts' characteristics in impulsive urges through the perceptive route based on the self-determination theory and stimulus-organism-response model. In addition, the interaction effect of perceived risk is examined. Data from 511 followers of MIFs were analyzed by structural equation modeling. Findings portray that MIFs posts' authenticity and visual appeal positively impact followers' perceived informativeness and flow state, leading to the urge to buy impulsively. Besides, a positive association is observed among MIFs posts' authenticity, visual appeal, perceived informativeness, and flow state. Moderating results indicate that higher perceived risk significantly discourages followers from getting involved in impulsive urges. Unexpectedly, it could not influence the followers' flow state. This novel research provides valued implications to recognize and design effective strategies embedded in the phenomenon of MIFs to instigate impulse buying. • Unveils the role of macro-influencers (MIFs) posts' characteristics in impulsive urges • Self-determination theory and stimulus-organism-response model are adopted. • Posts' authenticity and visual appeal positively impact informativeness and flow state. • Data from 511 followers of MIFs were analyzed by structural equation modeling. • Perceived risk discourages impulsive urges, except followers are in a flow state. Although extensive studies have focused on the impact of different corporate social responsibility (CSR) activities on environmental sustainability, few studies investigated the effects of CSR activities on environmentally sustainable development and green innovation. Yet, as a determinant of environmental strategies, green innovation haven't received much attention. Therefore, this study explored how different CSR dimensions impacts on environmentally sustainable development and further on green innovation. Data were collected from 282 respondents belonging to the manufacturing industries of Pakistan from January 2019 to April 2019; and analyzed by adopting methods of partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) and grey relational analysis. As per study results, all dimensions of CSR were found positively significant towards environmentally sustainable development. Further, the environmentally sustainable development positively enhances green innovation. This research employed an innovative attempt to evaluate the ranking of these constructs by using grey relational analysis whereby it was found that CSR to environment had a stronger effect, whereas CSR to consumer had a weaker impact on environmentally sustainable development. The research findings suggest that CSR activities should be embedded in the organizational environmental strategies for green innovation, as all CSR dimensions had positive relations with environmentally sustainable development. • CSR practices have a significant influence on environmentally sustainable development. • CSR to environment have a stronger, and CSR to consumer have a weaker effect on environmentally sustainable development. • Environmentally sustainable development is one of the significantly important strategies for enhancing green innovation. • The theory of sustainable development was adopted for the research framework. • PLS-SEM and Grey relational analyses were employed to analyze the data of 282 respondents collected through questionnaire. Social commerce has altered the consumption experience due to various interactive factors. Growing evidence stated that users are prone to buy impulsively in such an environment. Prior studies were limited to demonstrate the emerging role of social media celebrities and embedded social interaction in the context of impulse buying though users encounter them concurrently and frequently while browsing. Hence, this study investigated the influence of celebrities' post authenticity, sentiment polarity, observational learning, and impulse buying tendency following the latent state-trait theory. We have used the data of 452 Pakistani respondents to empirically investigate the research model collected via an online questionnaire from celebrities' community on Facebook. This study employed partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) and fuzzy set qualitative comparative analysis (fsQCA) to analyze data. The findings revealed that proposed constructs significantly influence the urge to buy impulsively. Further, impulse buying tendency moderates all relationships except negative sentiments. Unexpectedly, the moderation effects of celebrities' authenticity are insignificant. Furthermore, fsQCA results show the robustness of constructs towards urge to buy impulsively. The theoretical and managerial implications with limitations are provided in the paper. • Social media celebrities post and contextual interaction have a significant impact on impulse buying. • Latent state-trait theory was adopted for the research framework. • PLS-SEM was employed to analyze the data of 452 respondents collected via online questionnaire from Facebook.com. • Impulse buying tendency significantly interacts all relationships except negative sentiments.
