Abstract

Preconceptual design work on the Steady State Advanced Tokamak (SSAT) device is presented. The SSAT is a project to further magnetic fusion energy research particularly tokamak development and steady-state physics. The report focuses on the configuration of the superconducting magnets to be used in the toroidal field and poloidal field coils with respect to the physics and system design prerequisites to be met.
