Abstract

Highlights: [•] At 26GPa, NbS2 transits from the 2H structure to the novel structure. [•] The Nb and S atoms forms a new [NbS8] hexahedron unit in the I4/mmm-NbS2. [•] The -NbS2 exhibits a higher than 2H-NbS2. [•] The higher is resulted from the stronger electron–phonon coupling coefficients. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
