Abstract

The supply chain is also a significant aspect in project infrastructure because almost all activities in it are included in the supply chain. Good supply chain management have a positive impact on the construction projects development. The way to determine the condition of the supply chain in construction is by measuring the supply chain performance. This research was conducted on The Sikatak Bridge construction project in Indonesia. The several constraints that occur are changing the pillar body design that make having a more time to finish, delaying in material delivery, and the bad weather conditions. Based on those problems, performance assessment can be done using the Supply Chain Operation Reference (SCOR) method. The result of the study is there are 10 indicators of supply chain performance assessment and in this study uses only four indicators because the determination of indicators is based on the needs of the project and project data actual. The indicators used in this study are Perfect Order Fulfillment (POF), Total Supply chain Management Cost (TSCM), Cost of Goods Sold (COGS), and Return on Supply chain Fixed Cost (ROF). Abstract

Purpose: The objectives of this study are to elaborate on the concepts, dimensions and elements of green supply chain management (GSCM) and develop a framework of GSCM implementation for the construction industry. Design/methodology/approach: This paper presents the findings from a study where experts were asked to contribute their opinions related to GSCM in the construction industry. To develop the model, the Delphi method was used. The objective of this method is to achieve the most reliable consensus in a group of experts. Findings: The research result is a developed framework for GSCM in the construction industry comprising five concepts, 22 dimensions, and 82 elements. Research limitations/implications: The limitation of this research is that its output was the discovered elements, but it did not cover the implementation of this model in construction projects, so some elements may be missing. Practical implications: The output of the research could give new perspective to manage the construction project based on Green Supply Chain Method. Social implications: The stakeholder of the construction project has to learn with this concept (Green Supply Chain) in order to improve construction's project performance. Originality/value: The originality of this research is that it is a new theme in the area of the construction supply chain. Previous research merely considered the concept of GSCM in construction. Abstract

Sustainable construction as a construction method is a beginning to gain traction among Indonesian contractors, but with the dearth of research, knowledge, socialization and strategic support in this field, there are many obstacles towards en masse adoption in Indonesia: to be applied “effectively” and to become part of a “strategic method”. The concept of Sustainable Construction primarily emphasizes the wise use of resources (primarily natural resources), thereby systematically guaranteeing the fulfillment of future needs. However, the use of recycled materials is still hampered by the difficulty of field implementation; this is attested by the low scores attained in green building certification. This study will analyze the strategies needed to support sustainable construction in relation to supply chain management for materials, which have not been implemented well in Indonesia, whereas it has the highest impact in contributing to the effectiveness of sustainable construction. The aim of study is to analyze supply chain performance in materials of construction projects. The measurement used is the Supply Chain Operations Reference (SCOR) model with perfect order fulfillment and overall value at risk as a Key Performance Indicator (KPI). The result of the study is the percentage of material that could be used by the management of supply chain. Once the KPI is more fulfilled by perfect order fulfillment, the use of material is more complete to support sustainable construction. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
