• The NCM-2N2Z material is prepared by a one-step hydrothermal method. • Reduction of lithium-nickel mixing by Na+ doping. • ZrO 2 coating improves material electrochemical properties. • NCM-2N2Z has high specific capacitance and good cycling stability. In this paper, the high nickel ternary precursor Ni 0.8 Co 0.1 Mn 0.1 (OH) 2 is prepared by the hydrothermal method, and the high nickel ternary cathode material LiNi 0.8 Co 0.1 Mn 0.1 O 2 is produced by adding LiOH calcination. The effects of Na+ doping and ZrO 2 -coating co-modification on the crystal structure, microscopic morphology, and electrochemical properties of high nickel ternary cathode materials are explored. The results show that the discharge-specific capacity of the co-modified cathode material doped with 2 % Na+ and capped with ZrO 2 reaches 221.5 mA·g−1, and the capacity retention rate is still as high as 96.4 % after 100 cycles of charging and discharging. Abstract: Superhydrophobic surface has been successfully prepared on cotton substrates with inexpensive and ordinary raw materials, Al(NO3)3 and sodium stearate (C17H35COONa). Such surfaces were obtained first by dip-coating the nano-Al sol, then the surface of the Al coating was modified with sodium stearate, to gain a thin film through self-assembly. The wettability of treated fabrics was characterized by water contact angle, spray test and hydrostatic pressure test. The results showed that the cotton fabrics treated with 1.5% Al sol and 20mmol/L sodium stearate showed excellent hydrophobic properties and UV protection efficiency, water contact angle could reach 146.27° and the UPF value was 164.06 (UPF rating 50+). The morphology and surface roughness were characterized by SEM and AFM. The interaction between sodium stearate and Al coating was elucidated by XPS. [Copyright &y& Elsevier]

The Ni-Co-Zn alloy coating is prepared in a deep eutectic solvent system using pulse power supply technology, and the feasibility of the deep eutectic solvent system as an electrolyte is confirmed through infrared spectroscopy and cyclic voltammetry. The microscopic morphology analysis shows that the plating layer is uniform and dense, and the grains are spherical particles, and it is detected that the oxidized weight gain rate of the plating layer is 7.6842 × 10−8 g2 cm−4·h−1 at 900 °C, which is 3 orders of magnitude different from the oxidation rate constant of the substrate. The corrosion potential increases to −0.281 V in 3.5 % NaCl solution, and the corrosion current density decreases to 3.259 × 10−7 (A/cm2), with an ASR of 43.64 mΩ cm2 at 800 °C. The results indicate that the Ni-Co-Zn coating can meet the requirements for an SOFC connector material. • The Ni-Co Zn coating is prepared by low eutectic solvent system. • The results show that higher current density leads to hydrogen evolution. • The corrosion resistance of the coating is better than that of the substrate. • The oxidation resistance of the coating is better than that of the substrate.
