El ecoturismo es uno de los sectores que más ha crecido durante los últimos años a nivel global. En América Latina, hay dos países que son potencia en este tema: Costa Rica y Colombia. En el caso de Costa Rica, es líder en el ecoturismo no solo a nivel latinoamericano, sino que se ha distinguido por ser potencia en este sector gracias al desarrollo y crecimiento que ha generado. Por otro lado, Colombia se ha caracterizado por su posición geográfica y por contar con una gran variedad de flora y fauna, de modo que le ofrece al turista, ya sea nacional o internacional, nuevas alternativas y expe­riencias de viaje. Teniendo en cuenta lo anterior, se realizó un benchmarking entre estos dos países con el fin de analizar si es posible tomar la experiencia de Costa Rica e implementarla en Colombia. Se realizó ade­más un análisis de ponderación simple de las variables estratégicas más importantes para el éxito de Costa Rica, y se concluyó con tres variables claves para el ecoturismo: economía, política y lugares ecoturísticos. Para cada una de estas variables, se hizo además un análisis cuantitativo con el fin de estudiar los datos estadísticos que lleven a entender estos elementos y, así mismo, a identificar las oportunidades de negocio. Fi­nalmente, para legitimar los resultados del benchmarking, se realizó una investigación cualitativa con empresas, proyectos y per­sonas expertas en ecoturismo en Colombia. Ecotourism is one of the sectors that glob­ally have been growing the most in recent years. In Latin America there are two countries that are successful in this area: Costa Rica and Colombia. In the case of Costa Rica, it is a leader in ecotourism not only at the Latin American level, but it has also distinguished itself as a power in this sector thanks to the development and growth they have generated. On the other hand, Colombia has been characterized by its geographical position and for having a great variety of flora and fauna, offering national and international tourists new alternatives and travel experiences. Tak­ing this into account, a benchmarking was carried out between these two countries in order to analyze whether it is possible to take the experiences of Costa Rica and implement them in Colombia. A simple weighting analysis of the most important strategic variables for Costa Rica’s success was also carried out, arriving at three key variables for ecotourism: economy, politics and ecotourism places. For each of these, a quantitative analysis was also carried out to study the statistical data that leads us to understand these elements and also identify business opportunities. Finally, to legitimize the results of the benchmarking, a qualitative investigation was carried out with companies, projects and experts in ecotourism in Colombia.

stanbul ili Trakya bölgesini sosyo-ekonomik açıdan önemli ölçüde etkilemektedir. Özellikle hafta sonları ve yaz aylarında deniz ve dinlence amacıyla Trakya bölgesi sıkça ziyaret edilmektedir. Bu ziyaretler Yıldız dağları çevresinde bulunan ?ğneada, Demirköy, Kıyıköy ve Kastro gibi turizm merkezleri çevresinde ya?ayanların gelir düzeylerini olumlu yönde etkilemektedir.Bölge ba?ta longoz ormanları olmak üzere biyoçe?itlilik açısından oldukça zengin olup ekoturizm açısından önemli bir potansiyele sahiptir. Kum zambağı, nilüfer vb. bazı endemik türler bölgenin kırılgan bir yapı göstermesine neden olmaktadır. Bu nedenle bölgede yapılan ekoturizm aktivitelerinin sürdürülebilir olması oldukça önemlidir.Doğal kaynaklara gelecek ku?aklarında ihtiyaç duyacağı dikkate alındığında kaynakların sürdürülebilir kullanılması gerektiği ortadadır. Bu nedenle ekoturizm çalı?malarının her a?amasında sürdürülebilir kullanım ve koruma-kullanma dengesine dikkat edilmelidir. Kaynakların kullanım düzeyi alıcı ortam kapasitesi üzerine çıkmamalıdır.Yıldız dağları çevresinde bulunan orman köylerinde ya?ayanların gelir düzeyleri oldukça dü?üktür. Orman köylerinde ya?ayan yöre halkı daha çok orman kesimi, bal üretimi, balıkçılık, hayvancılık ve tarım konularında faaliyet göstermektedirler. Üreticiler elde ettikleri ürünlerinin bir bölümünü bölgeye gelen ziyaretçilere pazarlayarak geçimini sağlamaktadır.Bölgede ekoturizm faaliyetinin geli?tirilebilmesi için pansiyonculuk, restoran i?letmeciliği, otelcilik vb. konularda yöre halkı eğitilmelidir. Bölgeyi tanımlayan geleneksel olarak bölgede üretilen manda yoğurdu, balıkçılık, bal üretimi vb. aktiviteler ön plana çıkarılarak tanıtım çalı?maları yapılmalıdır.Ayrıca bölgede yeti?en endemik bitki türleri de ekoturizm amaçlı motivasyon faktörleri olarak ön plana alınmalıdır. Bu konuda yerel yöneticilerin bölge halkı ile koordineli çalı?maları oldukça önemlidir.Bölgede ekoturizm konusunda destek programları verilmelidir. Thrace Region is visited very often for having vacation at the seasides especially at weekends.Sand lily, Water lily and some other endemic species cause a fragile structure in the region. Therefore ecotourism activities should be sustainable.Sustainable use of natural resources are of critical importance due to the fact that next generations will be needed natural resources. For this reason use-protection balance should be taken into consideration in each stage of ecotourism studies. Resource use level should not be above the carrying capacity of the region.Income levels of the farmers living in the villages in the Istranca mountains are rather low. The people of the region make their living by cutting timber of the forests, honey production, fishing, animal raising and crop production. Some of the products produced are sold to the visitors who come to the region for vacation.The people of the region should be trained on the subjects such as operating a pension, restaurant and hotel management, etc. in order to develop ecotourism activities. The traditional activities like ?water buffalo yoghurt? production, fishing, apiculture and others should be encouraged by giving priority to those actvities.Besides endemic plant species grown in the region should be motivated so as to develop ecotourism. In this connection collaboration of local administrators with the people of the region is of great importance.Supporting programs should be implemented on the field of ecotourism in the region.
