A circular economy (CE) addresses the shift in economic systems from an unsustainable linear approach to a sustainable circular approach through start-ups and entrepreneurial ecosystems (EE). A single level of focus on CE research limits an understanding of the mechanisms fostering a transition towards CE. We conduct a systematic review of the macro–meso–micro interconnections between start-ups and EE in CE using bibliometric and content analyses to scope the literature without time boundaries. This exercise led to 90 articles from the Web of Science and Scopus databases. We contribute to literature on entrepreneurship and CE by building an integrative multi-level framework linked to the just and safe planetary boundaries by bridging macro-level explanations (public policies, regulations and infrastructure) and the meso-level (circular supply chains and circular ecosystems) and micro-level (circular start-ups and circular business models). The contribution of dynamic capabilities (DCs) to firm performance remains unclear and at the centre of debate. Based on a systematic literature review of 92 quantitative articles, the purpose is to explore how the DC–performance relationship have and should be assessed in the future. The most promising approach seems to be indirect, as it appears that DCs primarily causes change and intermediate outcomes, though far from being the most hypothesized relationship. Moreover, investigations employ a continuum of conceptualizations, ranging from very specific DCs to generic sets with theoretical divergences and overlapping. The same applies to the varied performance measures adopted, evidencing that the literature still has a long way to go. Based on a structured synthesis and analysis of existing studies, a conceptual model, recommendations and future avenues are proposed, along with areas of attention, which have both managerial and practical relevance, contributing to advancement within this research stream. Universities are increasingly being pressured to perform their third mission, playing as a catalyst of technological change, innovation, and societal and economic development. Universities respond to the emerging challenges combining their traditional roles with an entrepreneurial agenda. This entrepreneurial academic spirit allows a collaboration, as equal partners, with government and industry, creating the conditions for innovation and the emergence of the Entrepreneurial University (Ent_Uni). This scenario is crucial to address how universities' dynamics and initiatives are related to entrepreneurship and entrepreneurial ecosystems (Ent_Eco). Despite being widely explored concepts, the Ent_Uni and Ent_Eco are still fragmented and muddled in the literature, holding a wide margin for theorization development. Based on the bibliographic coupling of document references performed in Bibliometrix, a spectrum of six main research topics was identified to understand the dynamics of the Ent_Uni and Ent_Eco concepts. Through a Systematic Literature Review, this study aims to analyse how the research in agricultural entrepreneurship is approached in the period until 2012 and compare it with the period 2013–2017, which was found by Dias et al. (2019). This comparison allows identifying which research topics are underlined in each period as well as examine different perspectives on the same topic in both periods. Based on articles from the Scopus database, this review identifies two main thematic areas in the period until 2012: "Entrepreneurial Skills and Income Sources"; and "Market and Resources". Researchers state that farmers can be considered as entrepreneurs and as decision-makers who aim to maximize profits, developing various typologies of agricultural diversification, although conclude that entrepreneurial skills required for diversified farming are different from the ones required in conventional farming. Attending to the increasingly liberalisation of agricultural markets, the literature also focuses on the ways how farmers had recombined existing farm resources into new uses namely land, human, financial and natural resources. In both periods, we conclude that entrepreneurial skills are underlined but, in the period 2013–2017, new research topics were introduced. • This study is a Systematic Literature Review about agricultural entrepreneurship. • The period until 2012 is analysed and compared with the period 2013–2017. • The bibliometric analysis identifies two thematic areas in the period until 2012. • Entrepreneurial skills of farmers are examined conjointly with income sources. • Farmers use different resources to adapt to the changes in the agricultural markets. This study aims to analyse the different approaches to researching the strategic management of technological innovation through a Systematic Literature Review. The analysis thus focuses on the 59 articles returned from the ISI Web of Knowledge Social Sciences Citation Index (SSCI), after our search of publications in the 'Management' domain. This literature divides into two major thematic areas (strategic management and technological innovation) while revealing how performance studies predominate, especially those applied to the development of innovation and its sources. Two areas of lesser interest in the field of technological innovation are diffusion/adoption and commercialisation while these always interlink with strategy formulation. By dividing the analysis into three periods (1987–1996, 1997–2006 and 2007–2016), we may conclude that, in the first period (1987–1996), the study of the three main topics in technological innovation (development, types and sources of innovation) links to strategy formulation while in the following periods essentially move on to performance. Despite the growing interest in recent years on topics such as the internal analysis of innovation types, few studies detail with industry analysis, strategy implementation or the environment and we therefore also set out possible future lines of research. Abstract Despite the mainstream entrepreneurship research had neglected the agricultural sector, this scenario seems to have changed in the last years with the study of new and diverse phenomena in several countries around the world. This study aims to analyse the state-of-the-art on agricultural entrepreneurship through a systematic literature review and applying the co-words bibliometric technique. The articles reviewed were obtained from the Scopus database, covering journals from all subject areas. The results allowed to identify three main approaches: i) Entrepreneurial Skills and Behaviour, ii) Entrepreneurial Strategies, and iii) Community and Entrepreneurial Activity. Based on this classification, the study shows that the Entrepreneurial Skills and Behaviour are examined essentially in developing countries, focusing on the assessment of entrepreneurship programmes, oriented not only to agricultural students in higher education institutes but also to women and young farmers. Entrepreneurial Strategies of farmers are analysed mainly in developed countries, although it can be based in the diversification of agricultural and non-agricultural businesses, innovation or market channels, depending considerably on factors such as country, type of product and size. Finally, the Community and Entrepreneurial Activity focuses essentially on the impacts of food production in communities of developed countries, highlighting the social entrepreneurship initiatives at urban agriculture. As university–industry cooperation is associated with the transfer of knowledge and technology, this collaboration is an extremely important field of study for the world's economies that helps companies become more competitive. The present research, thus, sought to explore and analyse the literature related to university–industry cooperation, using a co-citation analysis. This study's objectives were to (1) identify the main co-cited references and the groups (i.e. clusters) they form and (2) discuss the challenges this literature presented in the study of university–industry cooperation. The articles reviewed were obtained with a search of the ISI's Web of Science and were submitted to a bibliometric analysis using VOSviewer software. This systematic literature review revealed that companies are increasingly focused on cooperation with universities. The results include four clusters, namely, (1) Absorption Capacity, Knowledge and Competitiveness in University–Industry Relations, (2) Impact of Knowledge Spill-overs on University–Industry Relations, (3) Strategic Alliances for Industry Innovation, and (4) University–Industry Cooperation. This study thus contributes to a greater and more detailed understanding of the production flow, scientific practices, and trends in this new and stimulating field of research. • Research on sustainability in family businesses is still in its early stage. • Over 80% of publications on this topic were generated in the last 5 years. • Prior research has focused capital, strategy, social responsibility, and succession • A high potential for future research on sustainability in family businesses. Sustainability is a relevant and established topic in the family business literature. However, family business scholars lack a comprehensive understanding about the different streams of research and the potential new areas for exploration on this topic. This limitation is a significant hinderance to the advancement of both theory and practice in the area. In this study, we provide an overview of the past, present, and future of research in the field of sustainability in family business. We use a systematic review of the literature by combining different bibliometric techniques. In the process, we provide a mapping of various themes alluding to sustainability in family businesses for a better understanding of the growth of the literature related to the topic, as well as its evolution. Our findings indicate that the extant literature on this topic falls into four different clusters: family business capital, family business strategy, family business social responsibility, and family business succession. There has been exponential growth is the use of wearable technology, and these are now considered to be of critical importance in certain consumer goods and services sectors, including healthcare. However, research on this topic remains fragmented, and the approaches to aid its study and enhance the understanding of how these technologies are used and its implications for the future have not yet been delimited. Thus, this study aims at identifying the different trends and themes prevailing in the literature on wearable technology. Through a systematic literature review, using bibliometric analysis, we identify five themes: i) Wearable technology decision-making; ii) Wearable technology well-being; iii) Wearable technology consumer behavior; iv) Wearable technology utility, and v) Wearable technology and big data analytics. Our analysis of the review data suggests that despite being multi-disciplinary, there is a lack of integration between this research field's micro and macro perspectives. This lack of integration and dialogue has led to several disconnected constructed terminologies, overlapping research questions, studies that are not based on appropriate results, fragmentation, and mixing or confusion of different theories.
