Reinforced concrete structures play a key role in modern infrastructure, however, corrosion of reinforcement poses a serious threat to their durability and safety. In this study, the sensitivity of a portable X-ray fluorescence analyzer (XRF) to corrosion products on the concrete surface is considered. The experiment was conducted using concrete samples containing varying amounts of iron hydroxide. The results showed that the FRA demonstrates high accuracy and reliability in detecting corrosion, which contributes to the improvement of diagnostic methods and maintenance of reinforced concrete structures.

The article proposes a new method for the non-destructive measurement of one of the most important maximum permissible parameters of surge current power thyristors. The method is based on continuous control at each moment of time of the dynamic capacitance, the changing in the nature of the time dependence of which predicts the destruction of the semiconductor structure.

The article shows one of the factors influencing the formation of corrosion of hollow reinforced concrete structures — leakage currents in insulators. The development of corrosion depends on the amount of electricity that has passed through the reinforced concrete. A method for controlling the corrosion state by changing the color parameters on the video image of the reinforced concrete surface is proposed. A full-scale experiment is carried out on samples simulating various degrees of corrosion, as well as on a sample with an unknown level of corrosion. The images are obtained using an industrial endoscope.

The paper presents the results of experimental studies on the determination of corrosion products on the surface of reinforced concrete structures. Methods for creating samples with artificial electrocorrosion under conditions close to real operation are discussed. The results of testing samples with different degrees of corrosion using laser-spark emission spectrometry (LIBS) devices are presented. The test is carried out on two different devices, a LIBS setup and a portable American-made laser analyzer LIBZ-300pe.

The paper presents theoretical information diagnosing insulation parameters of high-voltage transformers. The results of experimental studies on high-voltage transformers in the normal, pre-emergency and emergency states are shown. The comparison was made with the data of chromatographic analysis to determine the threshold values according to the results of acoustic control.
