The article aims to study the issues of university teachers and students from the faculties of physical education and sport to improve the educational process based on the principles of network planning. The article presents the results of the sociological questioning of the subjects of the educational process of physical education and sport faculties about the problems in the organization and planning of effective learning, as well as appropriate optimizing recommendations. A subject correlation matrix has been developed in the furtherance of this goal, in which each subject has a specific line and column. The analysis of the subjects' matrix allows one to pre-determine the order of study of individual subjects in courses and cycles, their relationship and interframe sequence. Within the framework of the experiment, the authors of the article have surveyed 52 university teachers and 450 physical education students. The survey included questions relating to personal opinions about the advantages and disadvantages of the new curriculum and relevant programmes in 16 major subjects. Statistical data processing was carried out using the SPSS Statistics 17.0 software package. The recommended concentrated arrangement of the leading subjects of the biomedical cycle will allow one to create an interdisciplinary programme giving a complete vision of the structure, functions and biochemical processes occurring in various human body systems. It is extremely important to reconsider psycho-pedagogical experience in the problem of intellectual education that is mainly highlighted on the pages of the leading periodical "Sovetskaya Pedagogika". The research hypothesis is the possibility of using the pedagogical experience of the journal's co-authors to justify the basic principles of neuropedagogy, which became widespread after its publication had ended. The research aims to identify and generalize the main areas of intellectual education on the pages of the journal based on a holistic retrospective analysis of professional publications and, thus, identify the factual material and theoretical approaches which have formed the basis of modern neuropedagogy. Research methods involve a set of general scientific and psychopedagogical methods: systematic search methods (identification, theoretical analysis and systematization of historical-and-pedagogical works and materials of pedagogical periodicals); historical-and-retrospective methods (analysis of the content and characteristics of reflection and solving of problems related to intellectual education on the pages of the journal); comparative methods (comparison of events, phenomena and facts mentioned in the journal, in particular, the views of national and international theorists and practitioners on the problems of intellectual education, which have formed the basis of modern neuropedagogy). In the paper, theoretical generalization and a new approach to solving a topical problem of generalizing the main areas of intellectual education on the pages of the periodical, namely, the problem of intellectual education in the context of developing an idea on the individual's harmonious development; a comprehensive approach to the problem of intellectual education on the pages of the periodical; the problem of intellectual development as the basis of intellectual education on the pages of the periodical "; promotion of cognitive activity and independence as an effective means of intellectual education; pedagogical views on the problem of intellectual education on the pages of the periodical; foreign experience in promoting intellectual education on the pages of the periodical have been presented. The stages in the history of forming and developing the periodical "Sovetskaya Pedagogika" (1937-1991) have been concretized following the status and subordination. Particular facts, concepts and problems of the prominent educational journal in the context of establishing the ideas of neuropedagogy and neuropsychology have been specified. There appears to be the need to consolidate pupilathletes’ knowledge of humanities (Ukrainian History, English, Ukrainian, Ukrainian literature), which greatly affect their emotional and value attitude towards the surrounding world, promote active life position and widen outlook, develop reading, linguistic and speech culture, enhance understanding of life meaning through the assimilation of ideals, universal values, norms of morality and patterns in behaviour culture. The research aims to disclose the impact of the developed system of assignments on the consolidation of knowledge of humanities in pupil-athletes in the process of training. The pedagogical experiment was conducted in Ukrainian comprehensive schools (142 participants in the experimental group and 150 participants in the control group). The diagnostic toolset includes questionnaires for identifying cognitive interest of pupils in humanities, questionnaires for teachers and parents, tests for identifying abilities to observe, concentrate attention, memorize and apply the content of educational material, tests for studying types of memory, methods of adolescents’ self-assessment, methods of unfinished sentences, notes, reading diaries, compositions. Thus, the indicator of creative nature in acquiring knowledge of humanities has increased (+ 19,1%) in the experimental group. Analyzing the results from the experiment, one can conclude that the designed system of assignments aimed at consolidating pupil-athletes’ knowledge of humanities has contributed to increasing the levels of their overall performance, responsibility and discipline. Nowadays, sport gives more consistent results than in the past. Therefore, it is important to use sports achievements in physical education of pupils and students in order to increase physical potential of the mankind. The research aims to theoretically justify and experimentally verify a pedagogical technology of training future teachers to organize school sport. Physical training can be considered effective if a relevant technology has been introduced. This technology should consist of the following pedagogical conditions: applying sports and physical education; conducting workshops (practice-oriented training); strengthening joint efforts of subject lecturers; organizing active forms of research activities; conducting systematic monitoring and evaluation; providing lecturers and students with educational and methodological literature. Methods: pedagogical observation, modelling, interviewing, diagnostic interviews, questionnaires, expert evaluation; pedagogical experiment; methods of mathematical statistics. Three experimental groups (56, 30, 27 respondents) and three control groups (55, 30, 29 respondents) were formed. The overall results obtained from control and experimental groups during the formative experiment show positive dynamics of changes in experimental groups. The formulated conclusions verify the research hypothesis that the proposed technology can significantly increase readiness of future teachers to organize school sport provided it has been introduced into practical activities of higher education institutions.
