Cyberfraud knows no boundaries and increases with the emergence of technology adoption. The remarkable rise of cybercrime and its catastrophic consequences pose a significant threat to financial institutions in India. Existing literature proves that banks are most affected among other sectors due to their resilience on the Internet, particularly e-Banking platforms. This study incorporates cybersecurity knowledge and awareness with the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) to examine the association to usage intention among e-Banking users in India. Co-variance-based structural equation modelling (CB-SEM) was used to analyse the sample size of 428 responses. The findings suggested that e-Banking users' cybersecurity knowledge and awareness positively influence e-Banking usage intention. Users' behavioural protection is influenced by knowledge and awareness. It was also observed that cybersecurity knowledge, awareness, and behavioural choice protection were consistent with TAM theory. Emerging cyberfraud has become a significant challenge in accepting e-banking platforms. The structural model suggests that cybersecurity awareness among e-Banking users against cyberfraud could help safeguard users' bank accounts and positively influence usage intention. Cybersecurity awareness must be taught to e-Banking users to counter rising cyberfraud incidents. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Objective: This study aims to develop and empirically test a derivation of the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) on the acceptance of electric vehicles (EV). Theoretical Approach/Method: The analysis was based on an original theoretical model adapted from the TAM, a theory based on information systems that models how users start to accept and use a given piece of technology. An online questionnaire applied to graduate students in Brazil was used, and the answers were analyzed using structural equations. The final sample consisted of 209 graduate students from three universities in Brazil. The data collection instrument was validated by Confirmatory Factor Analysis. For the hypothesis test, path analysis was used. Results: The results indicated a positive relationship between the intentions of use of electric vehicles and the perceptions about Ease of Use, Green Utility, and Potential Infrastructure Readiness. The results also showed that there is no evidence of a direct positive relationship between the Environmental Concern factor and the intention to use EVs. Theoretical and managerial contributions: The original theoretical model proposed and tested here contributes to the TAM theory. By studying factors that stimulate or encourage the purchase intention and potential consumer behavior of EVs in the Brazilian market, it contributes to future management and governmental policies in this segment. Relevance/Originality: The theoretical model adds original factors to the TAM, to explain the acceptance of EVs. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The study of students' willingness to use translation technology can motivate students to use the translation technology and improve their translation efficiency. This paper reports on a survey which collected 716 valid questionnaires from students in the Master-level Program in Translation and Interpreting. Structural equation modeling (SEM) was used to assess the influence of six potential variables on Master of Translation and interpreting(MTI)usage intention. The results show that perceived usefulness (PU), perceived ease of use (PEOU), subjective norm (SN) and translation technology self-efficacy (TTSE) have a significant positive influence on usage intention (UI), and perceived ease of use and perceived usefulness have significant mediating effects. Additionally, self-efficacy has a marginal or no influence at all on perceived usefulness, and flow experience (FE) has no effect on usage intention. Suggestions for future studies in the area of translation technology teaching are proposed based on the results and limitations of this study. These findings contribute to the promotion of the use of translation technology by master of Translation and interpreting at universities, which is expected to provide a beneficial research foundation for the teaching of translation technology. This study aimed to comprehend the perceptions and intentions of Generation Z consumers in India regarding the utilization of digital coupons, adopting the framework of the technology acceptance model. Through purposive sampling, 386 participants from Generation Z were selected to offer diverse perspectives, reflecting the significant influence of demographics on contemporary consumer behavior. An online survey was conducted across India, utilizing popular social networking applications, such as WhatsApp, LinkedIn, and Facebook, to distribute the online questionnaire as these platforms have widespread usage and accessibility among the target demographic. Structural equation modeling (SEM) was used to examine the relationships between the constructs. The study revealed that perceived ease of use had no significant impact on the attitudes toward digital coupons (p > 0.05). However, a strong positive relationship was observed between perceived usefulness and ease of use (β = 0.542, p ≤ 0.05). Similarly, perceived usefulness positively influenced attitudes toward digital coupons (β = 0.484, p ≤ 0.05), as did attitudes toward usage intention (β = 0.746, p ≤ 0.05). The relationships between attitude and perceived ease of use (β = –0.093, p ≤ 0.05) and attitude and usage intention (β = –0.124, p ≤ 0.05) were moderated by digital coupon proneness. Insights derived from this study hold substantial relevance for marketers aiming to effectively engage Generation Z through digital couponing strategies. AcknowledgmentThe authors are thankful to their respective universities, heads of departments, and others who have supported and contributed to the effective conduct of this study.

Technology drives innovation and reform in hospitality education, and Facebook has become a popular educational tool to facilitate students' classroom interactions. Understanding hospitality students' attitudes toward Facebook teaching interventions is important. Based on a survey of 289 undergraduate hospitality students, first, we expand the scope of the technology acceptance model (TAM) in this study, which integrates the two factors of social interaction and information exchange into the research structure. Second, this study also proposes a new moderated mediation model to account for the internal mechanism underlying Taiwanese undergraduate hospitality students' acceptance of Facebook teaching interventions in terms of perceived usefulness and ease of use. We illuminate the foundation of the application of Facebook media technology to teaching in hospitality higher education. The theoretical contributions and educational implications of this research are also discussed. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

• Integration of visual, auditory, and haptic modalities represents an effective design approach and strategy for science communication interfaces. • Layout, color tones, vibration intensity, and sound volume are significant predictors of user perceptions and behavioral intentions. • Animation, sound timbre, and vibration duration are not necessary interface design factors for science communication. • This study combined the ECM and TAM to evaluate optimal design combinations for user interfaces for scientific communication by using the Taguchi method. • The 12 principles of multimedia learning can be simulated and validated to some extent through the Taguchi method. Science communication conducted through mobile devices and mobile applications is an efficient and widespread phenomenon that requires communicators and design practitioners to further develop suitable design elements and strategies for such platforms. The effective application of multimodal or multisensory design in interfaces provides users with rich experiences. However, there is a lack of guiding recommendations for user interface design in the citizen science community. This study investigated factors affecting users' perceptions and behavioral intentions toward multimodal scientific communication interface designs and identified the optimal combinations of such factors for such designs. Through a focus group, we defined three design dimensions of a science communication interface: visual, auditory, and haptic. An online experiment involving 916 participants was then conducted and integrated the technology acceptance model, expectation–confirmation model, and Taguchi method to examine the hierarchical combinations with the greatest influence in each dimension. The results indicated that interface design combinations primarily focusing on visual elements, with auditory and haptic as secondary elements, can serve as effective tools for science communication. Moreover, layout, color tones, vibration intensity, and sound volume significantly affected users' perceptions and behavioral intentions. As one of the few studies using the Taguchi method to explore the design of science communication interfaces, the present findings enrich the multimodal theory from the perspectives of design and communication, highlighting its value in science communication. This paper simultaneously provides insights into how to select and combine multimodal design elements in science communication interfaces, demonstrating the potential of such designs to affect a user perception, satisfaction, confirmation, and continued usage intention. CRITICAL success factor , *KNOWLEDGE management , *SEMICONDUCTOR industry , *MANAGEMENT information systems , *TECHNOLOGY Acceptance Model - Abstract
Aim/Purpose This study examined the relationship between critical success factors (CSFs), perceived benefits, and usage intention of Mobile Knowledge Management Systems (MKMS) via an integrated Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) and Information Systems Success Model (ISSM). Background This study investigates the CSFs (i.e., Strategic Leadership, Employee Training, System Quality, and Information Quality) that impact the usage intention of KMS in mobile contexts which have been neglected. Since users normally consider the usefulness belief in a system before usage, this study examines the role of perceived benefits as a mediator between the CSFs and usage intention. Methodology A survey-based research approach in the Malaysian semiconductor industry was employed via an integrated model of TAM and ISSM. At a response rate of 59.52%, the findings of this study were based on 375 usable responses. The data collected was analyzed using the Partial Least Squares with SmartPLS 3.0. Contribution This study contributes to the body of knowledge in the areas of mobile technology acceptance and knowledge management. Specifically, it helps to validate the integrated model of TAM and ISSM with the CSFs from knowledge management and information system. In addition, it provides the would-be adopters of MKMS with valuable guidelines and insights to consider before embarking on the adoption stage. Findings The findings suggest that Employee Training and Information Quality have a positive significant relationship with Perceived MKMS Benefits. On the contrary, Strategic Leadership, System Quality, and Perceived User-friendliness showed an insignificant relationship with Perceived MKMS Benefits. Additionally, Employee Training and Information Quality have an indirect relationship with MKMS Usage Intention which is mediated by Perceived MKMS Benefits. Recommendations for Practitioners The findings are valuable for managers, engineers, KM practitioners, KM consultants, MKMS developers, and mobile device producers to enhance MKMS usage intention. Recommendations for Researchers Researchers would be able to conduct more inter-disciplinary studies to better understand the relevant issues concerning both fields - knowledge management and mobile computing disciplines. Additionally, the mediation effect of TAM via Perceived Usefulness (i.e., perceived MKMS benefits) on usage intention of MKMS should be further investigated with other CSFs. Future Research Future studies could perhaps include other critical factors from both KM and IS as part of the external variables. Furthermore, Perceived Ease of Use (i.e., Perceived User-friendly) should be tested as a mediator in the future, together with Perceived Usefulness (i.e., perceived MKMS Benefits) to compare which would be a more powerful predictor of usage intention. Moreover, it may prove interesting to find out how the research framework would fit into other industries to verify the findings of this study for better accuracy and generalizability. This study examines the direct effects of technology acceptance (perceived usefulness and ease of use), trustworthiness, expertise, and the moderating effect of COVID-19 perceived health risk on tourists’ social media User-Generated-Content (UGC) usage intention. The study respondent was 233 Malaysian tourists who travelled domestically for leisure during the COVID-19 pandemic. The study hypotheses were examined using multiple regression analysis. The hypotheses testing indicates that perceived usefulness, ease of use, trustworthiness, and expertise significantly affect future usage of social media UGC. In addition, the findings confirm that perceived health risk does not affect the user trustworthiness and future usage of social media UGC. The findings assist tourism stakeholders in understanding tourist behaviour towards social media UGC, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. The tourism business and policymakers should continuously improve and monitor their UGC platform, especially since UGC was deemed one of the vital information dissemination channels during the COVID-19 pandemic. The participants were outpatients at the traditional Chinese medicine departments of three hospitals in northern Taiwan (n=125). The self-report questionnaire comprised information about sociodemographics and scales related to hospital loyalty, perceived usefulness of the mobile app, its perceived ease of use, satisfaction with its use, and its usage intention. The data were analyzed using structural equation modeling. Results: The four factors explained 70% variance in usage intention. The perceived usefulness of the mobile app directly and indirectly affects their usage intention, but its perceived ease of use had only indirect effects on the usage intention. Perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use influence the usage intention through satisfaction. The women’s hospital loyalty does not directly affect the usage intention of the mobile app, but indirectly affects it through perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use of the mobile app. Conclusion: Intended use of the app by women is mainly related to their experience of which is usefulness, ease of use and satisfaction of service are the most important factors contributing to continuous use. Hospital loyalty does not directly affect intention to use as expected. The influence of loyalty must be related to the patients’ perception of the product, in terms of usefulness, ease to use, and satisfaction. The finding is helpful to understand patients’ preference and support their behavioral adherence. Keywords: usage intention, patient engagement, hospital loyalty, technology acceptance model, mobile application

This study attempts to re-examine the role of attitude in voluntary information system (IS) acceptance and usage, which has often been discounted in the previous technology acceptance research. We extend the unidimensional view of attitude into a bidimensional one, because of the simultaneous existence of both positive and negative evaluation towards IS in technology acceptance behaviour. In doing so, attitude construct is divided into two components: satisfaction as the positive attitudinal component and dissatisfaction as the negative attitudinal component. We argue that satisfaction and dissatisfaction will interactively affect technology usage intention. Besides, we explore the predictors of satisfaction and dissatisfaction based on the disconfirmation theory. Empirical results from a longitudinal study on bulletin board system (BBS) usage confirm the interaction effect of satisfaction and dissatisfaction on usage intention. Moreover, perceived task-related value has a significant effect on satisfaction, while perceived personal value has a significant effect on dissatisfaction. We also discuss the theoretical and managerial implications of our findings. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Taiwan began to implement a new high school syllabus nationwide, in 2019. The Ministry of Education has also established a high school student Academic Portfolio System (APS) to collect the learning process of high school students for future university admissions references. However, during this period, high school students and their parents had many opinions on the implementation of the new system. There were even groups of students protesting. The main purpose of this research is to explore the factors that affect the system usage intentions of high school students. Based on the theory of reasoned action (TRA) and the technology acceptance model (TAM), this research established a research model. The research variables include system interface design, usefulness, ease of use, attitude, subjective norms, and usage intentions. A total of 712 questionnaires were collected from high school students in northern Taiwan. Data analysis is carried out in three stages: descriptive analysis, measurement model verification, and structural equation modeling. The results of the study found that system interface design has a significant impact on the perceived ease of use. Factors such as ease of use, usefulness, attitude, and subjective norms also have a significant positive impact on usage intention, ease of use and usefulness positively affect attitudes toward using. Finally, according to the results, some practical implications were proposed for implementation references from the perspectives of education authority, high schools, teachers, and students.

Nurses play a key role in healthcare but work in a highly stressful and unfriendly environment. Therefore, many medical institutions have adopted nurse healthcare management information systems for nurses to relieve symptoms of mental stress and even improve their psychological health. The key to the success of these systems depends on how nurses intend to use them. In this study, the moderating effect of nurses&rsquo, psychological health status on their usage of these systems are discussed. This study used a mail survey method for nurses to obtain 1565 valid samples. The results show that perceived usefulness is insignificant toward the usage intention of nurses with a positive psychological health status, which indicates that this system does not meet the needs of these healthy nurses. Furthermore, perceived ease of use is insignificant toward the usage intention of nurses with a negative psychological health status, which indicates that a negative psychological health status may affect one&rsquo, s behavior due to impatience. This study raises the serious issue that nurses should maintain their psychological health in order to ensure the quality of care for patients. People in various fields are expected to pay attention to the psychological health status of nurses and create a win&ndash, win situation for both patients and nurses.

The aim of this study is to identify the variables affecting the tendency of the students studying at the faculties of education in Turkey universities to use the synchronous virtual classroom and to analyze the causal connections between these variables. For this purpose the Synchronous Virtual Classroom Acceptance Scale which developed by Kang and Shin (2015) was adapted to Turkish and tested in this Study. In determining the variables and relationships of the model presented hypothetically in the study, the Synchronous Virtual Classroom Acceptance Model was used as base that was developed by Kang and Shin (2015). The study group consists of freshmen (n = 310) studying at various departments of the Faculty of Education, Hacettepe University. The data for the research were collected during the spring term of 2015 – 2016 academic year. The hypothetical model was tested with the Structural Equation Modeling. Research findings confirmed the hypothetical model based on Synchronous Virtual Acceptance Classroom Model developed by Kang and Shin (2015). The findings show that the students’ intention to use the synchronous virtual classroom could be explained directly or indirectly by self-efficacy, systematic lecture content, subjective norm, system accessibility, variables of perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use and the resultant model produced a valid, reliable and good fit. However, 77 % of the variance observed in behavioural intention explained by perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use. Self-efficacy and subjective norm explained about 82 % of the variance observed in the perceived usefulness. 73 % of the variance seen in perceived ease of use explained by all exogenous variables.

Developing countries around the globe are striving continuously to provide free access to health care services. Telemedicine services represent a significantly increasing form of an adequate health care delivery mechanism in developing countries. This research study was aimed at investigating the factors influencing the acceptance of telemedicine services among the rural population of Pakistan. Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) was used as a theoretical framework for this research, with the inclusion of several other antecedents. A face-to-face survey method was used to collect research data from 275 participants. The data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares (PLS) method. The findings suggest that usage intention of telemedicine services is a function of perceived ease of use, technological anxiety, social influence, perceived ease of usefulness, trust, facilitating conditions, perceived risk, and resistance to technology. This research study confirms the applicability of TAM with the inclusion of additional variables to model the adoption of telemedicine services in developing countries. The study offers valuable information for policymakers and health service providers for understanding the facilitators and inhibitors influencing the large scale implementation of telemedicine services. The research findings regarding factors including perceived risk, trust, facilitating conditions and resistance to change can aid in the design and adequate provision of telemedicine services in developing countries. • We investigate factors influencing usage intention of rural patients towards Telemedicine services. • We propose a research model based on Technology Acceptance Model with inclusion of additional constructs. • PEOU, PU, social influence, and facilitating conditions positively influence behavioral intentions towards telemedicine. • Technological anxiety and perceived risk negatively influence behavioral intentions towards telemedicine services.
