Abstract

The article presents suggestions for string instrument teachers to inherit, lose, and rehabilitate string instrument learners. Topics discussed include choosing repertoire for inherited students, inheriting an injured student, and moving a student out of studio. Also discussed are the physiology of playing and the dangers of several health problems including tendonitis, carpal tunnel syndrome, and nerve compression.
