He Zhu-Qing & Lu Hui; 1♀, CHINA, Guangxi Prov., Jinxiu (110.10��E, 24.15��N), 20-vii-2015, coll. He Zhu-Qing & Lu Hui. Description: Male: Size medium. Pronotum with sparse tubercles. Side lobes abdominal edge with tumors (Figs.12B, C). Front corners of mesosternum protruding tooth-shaped (Fig. 12D). Fore femora on the ventral inside edge with 5���9 spines, 3���9 spines on the outside edge. Hind femora with 12 lower outer, 8���13 lower inner and 11 upper median spines. Fore femora and median femora dark ventrally. Tegmina with almost truncated apical part (Figs. 5I, J). Epiproct nearly oval, with intermediate longitudinal ridge (Fig. 12E). Cerci robust, almost conical (Figs. 12E, F). Female: Similar to male in general appearance, but larger than male. Subgenital plate subtriangular, notched in terminal (Fig. 12G). Ovipositor wide relatively, distal half of dorsal margin armed with fine teeth (Fig. 12H). Comparison. H. (T.) spinosus robustus subsp. nov. is very similar to H. (T.) spinosus spinosus (Figs. 11A���H; 12A���H), but differs in the size (length of pronotum, tegmina, and hind femora of male in H. (T.) spinosus robustus subsp. nov. are 7.7���7.9, 35.8���36.2 and 18.9���20.6mm respectively, but these are 7.3���8.3, 30.3���34.2 and 17.6���19.6 mm in H. (T.) spinosus spinosus, respectively). H. (T.) spinosus robustus subsp. nov. have more spines on hind femora dorsally than H. (T.) spinosus spinosus (11 vs. 7���9). Measurements (in mm): Male: SZ 45.0���47.9, PR 7.7���7.9, FW 35.8���36.2, HF 18.9���20.6; Female: SZ 59.2, PR 10.5, FW 47.9, HF 22.3, OV 19.4. Etymology: Subspecies name robustus means it���s stronger than H. (T.) spinosus spinosus. Genus Ptosoproctus Shen, Yin & He gen. nov. 折尾ỡffl Type species. Ptosoproctus lanzhouensis Shen, Yin & He, here designated Description. Body small. Fastigium of vertex distinctly wider than scape of antenna. Disc of pronotum with a broadly obtuse concavity in the middle on both sides, lateral carina faintly indicated, lateral lobes longer than high, with weakly humeral sinus. Prosternum unarmed. Brachypterous, tegmina around same length as pronotum in male; distinctly shorter than pronotum and only reaches 1 st abdominal tergite anterior margin, clearly visible and discontiguous dorsally in female. Fore-tibiae dorsally without internal spines; mid-tibiae dorsally with spines on both sides. Male 10 th abdominal tergite fused with epiproct, forming a down-folded membranous projection on tergite posterior margin, projection with a median longitudinal furrow. Cercus short and stout, apex short and obtusely conical; inner tooth near cercus apex, robust, recurved and apically acute. Subgenital plate with short styli. Titllators bear a row of denticles on the apical arms. Female cercus conical and pielous, 10 th abdominal tergite fused or not fused with epiproct, posterior margin with a median notch. 7 th abdominal sternite without hump or tubercule. Subgenital plate posterior margin with a median deep, acutely angled concave. Ovipositor shorter than hind femora, distinctly upcurved. Remarks. This new genus is closely related to Eulithoxenus but differs from the latter by: male 10 th abdominal tergite fused with epiproct, and female 7 th abdominal sternite without hump or tubercle. This new genus is also closely related to Novadrymadusa as indicated by the confluent epiproct, but differs from latter by: prosternum unarmed, male epiproct not strongly extended posteriorly, in the middle without 4 cross-shaped contiguous plates, and female 7 th sternite without an acute, spine-like projection posteriorly. Etymology. Ptosoproctus lanzhouensis Shen, Yin & He sp. nov. 兰州折尾ỡ Figs. 1–5, 9, 14–15 Description. General. Body small. Head frons flat, slightly oblique (Fig. 2 AB). Fastigium of vertex distinctly wider than scape of antenna (Fig. 2B). Eyes broadly round and projecting outward. Disc of pronotum both sides with a broadly obtuse concavity on middle part, anterior and posterior margin of pronotum slightly concaved, median carina and posterior transvers sulcus obscure, central transvers sulcus distinctly Chinese characters “八”-shaped, lateral carina faintly indicated; lateral lobes longer than high, with weakly humeral sinus (Fig. 2 BCEF). Prosternum unarmed (Fig. 2D). Mesosternum with a pair of obtuse triangular lobe-shaped processes, wider than long (Fig. 2D). Metasternum with a pair of arched lobe-shaped processes, wider than long (Fig. 2D). Dorsal surface of fore coxae with 1 long spine; length of fore femora nearly equal to pronotum, dorsally unarmed, ventrally with 0–2 internal spinules and externally unarmed, genicular lobes with 1–2 internal spinules and externally unarmed; fore tibiae both sides with a crack-shape tympana, dorsally with 3–4 externally spines and internally unarmed, ventrally with 6 pair of spines, a pair at the apical. Middle femora dorsally unarmed, ventrally with 0–1 internal spinules and externally unarmed, genicular lobes with 1–2 external spinules and 1 internal spinule; middle tibiae dorsally with 4–5 internal spines and 2–4 external spines, ventrally with 6 pair of spines, a pair at the apical. Hind femora dorsally unarmed, ventrally with 0–1 external spinules and 2–3 internal spinules, genicular lobes with 0–1 spinules on both sides; hind tibiae dorsally with 23–34 spines on both sides and 1 pair of apical spurs, ventrally with 8–12 spines on both sides and 2 pair of apical spurs. Male. Tegmina brachypterous, slightly shorter than pronotum, slight beyond or extending to 3 th abdominal tergite posterior margin. Left tegmina ventrally with stridulatory file about 30 teeth (Fig. 3E). Right tegmina ventrally with vestigial stridulatory file about 19 teeth (Fig. 3F). Mirror on right tegmina pentagonal, distinctly longer than wide (Fig. 3 CF). Hind wings rudimentary (Fig. 3D). 10 th abdominal tergite fused with epiproct, posterior margin of 10th abdominal tergite with a broadly triangle notch at the joint, form a strongly down-folded membranous projection on tergite posterior margin, apex broadly rounded, almost sightless from above, projection with a median longitudinal furrow which basal narrow and apical widish. Cercus pileous, short and stout, external margin almost straight; apex short and obtusely conical; inner tooth near cercus apex, robust, recurved, wide at base, gradually narrow towards the apical part, apex acute, raise first and then decurved. Subgenital plate about 1.25 times longer than width, with lateral carinae, middle part of posterior margin with a weak triangular excision, styli short (Fig. 4C). Titillators with broad basal arms, apical inflated connect with short apical arms; apical arms dorsally bearing one rows denticles, with acute apex (Fig. 4E). Female. Tegmina slightly shorter than quarter pronotum, extending to 1 th abdominal tergite anterior margin, clearly visible and discontiguous in dorsal view (Fig. 2 EF). Cercus conical and hirsute (Fig. 4F). 10 th abdominal tergite not fused with epiproct, posterior margin of 10 th abdominal tergite with a shallow broadly round notch on middle part (Fig. 4F). Subgenital plate wider than length, with lateral carinae, middle of posterior margin with a deep angle concave (Fig. 4G). Ovipositor shorter than hind femora, distinctly upcurved (Fig. 4H). Coloration. Body laterally and dorsally generally whitish gray, with dark brown or black marmoration, ventrally yellowish (greenish in life). Lower and hind margin of pronotum lateral lobes whitish gray with dark brown spots. Tegmina orange, costal area whitish gray with dark brown spots, radius area with dark brown spots. Spines of each leg black. Apex of male cercus inner tooth black. Ovipositor apical part black. Measurements(mm). Body (from head to tip of abdomen): ♂ 16.67–19.30, ♀ 17.12; pronotum: ♂ 4.46–4.60, ♀ 5.40; tegmina: ♂ 3.74–4.42, ♀ 1.30; mirror of right tegmina (from fore to hind): ♂ 1.90; fore femora: ♂ 4.46–4.80, ♀ 5.15; middle femora: ♂ 4.90–5.54, ♀ 6.10; hind femora: ♂ 17.42–19.20, ♀ 20.65; fore tibiae: ♂ 5.40–5.90, ♀ 6.62; middle tibiae: ♂ 6.0–6.77, ♀ 7.40; hind tibiae: ♂ 17.42–18.42, ♀ 19.70; male titillators (straight-line distance from base to end): 1.50; ovipositor: 10.90. Tongxin Wang. Remarks. See Ptosoproctus baishishanicus sp. nov. Songs. The adults make calling songs at night. The song consists of echemes with syllables. Echeme sequence duration for 23–34 s with 7–9 s interval. In each echeme sequence, there are about 40–50 echemes with rate as 1.76 echeme/s. Each echeme consist 1–2 syllables irregularly, echeme duration for 50–150 ms, echeme interval for 350–780 ms. Each syllable duration for 50–55 ms, syllables interval for 35–45 ms. Etymology. The specific epithet is named after Lanzhou, the type locality. Distribution: China (Gansu). Ptosoproctus baishishanicus Shen, Yin, Lee & He sp. nov. 白石山折尾ỡ Figs. 1, 6–9, 14–15 Description. General. Body small. Head frons flat. Fastigium of vertex distinctly wider than scape of antenna (Fig. 6 AB). Head dorsally with an obscure and continuous median carina. Eyes broadly round and projecting outward. Disc of pronotum both sides with a broadly obtuse concavity on middle part, anterior margin of pronotum slightly concaved and posterior margin nearly straight, median carina continuous and distinctly indicated, central transvers sulcus distinctly Chinese characters “八”-shaped, lateral carina faintly indicated; lateral lobes longer than high, with weakly humeral sinus (Fig. 6 BC). Prosternum unarmed (Fig. 6D). Mesosternum with a pair of obtuse triangular lobe-shaped processes, wider than long (Fig. 6D). Metasternum with a pair of obtuse triangular lobe-shaped processes, extremely wider than long (Fig. 6D). Dorsal surface of fore coxae with 1 long spine; fore femora 1.15–1.2 times longer than pronotum, dorsally unarmed, ventrally with 0–2 internal spinules and externally unarmed, genicular lobes with 1–2 internal spinules and 1 external spinule; fore tibiae both sides with a crack-shape tympana, ventrally with 6 pair of spines, a pair at the apical. Middle femora dorsally unarmed, ventrally both sides with 0–1 spinules, genicular lobes with 1 internal spinules and 1–3 external spinules; middle tibiae ventrally with 6 pair of spines, a pair at the apical. Hind femora dorsally unarmed, ventrally with 0–4 spinules on both sides, genicular lobes with 0–1 spinules on both sides; hind tibiae dorsally with 18–27 spines on both sides and 1 pair of apical spurs, ventrally with 9–10 spines on both sides and 2 pair of apical spurs. Male. Tegmina brachypterous, slightly longer than pronotum, extending to 2 th abdominal tergite posterior margin. Left tegmina ventrally with stridulatory file about 36 teeth (Fig. 6G). Right tegmina ventrally with vestigial stridulatory file about 28 teeth (Fig. 6H). Mirror on right tegmina slightly longer than wide (Fig. 6 FH). Hind wings rudimentary (Fig. 6I). Fore tibiae dorsally armed 2–3 external spines and internally unarmed. Middle tibiae dorsally with 2 external spines and 1–2 internal spines (one at apical). 10 th abdominal tergite fused with epiproct, posterior margin of 10th abdominal tergite with a broadly triangle notch at the joint, form a down-folded membranous projection on tergite posterior margin, projection with a gourd-shaped median longitudinal furrow, apex broadly rounded. Cercus conical, pileous, short and stout, external margin straight; apex short and obtusely conical; inner tooth near cercus apex, robust, recurved and slightly incurve, apical part suddenly narrowly, apex acutely (Fig. 7 AB). Subgenital plate length as long as wide, with lateral carinae, middle part of posterior margin with a triangular excision, styli slender and short (Fig. 7C). Titillators with short apical arms, dorsally bearing one row of denticles; basal arms broad, with a right-angle curve on middle part (Fig. 7E). Female. Tegmina slightly shorter than half pronotum, extending to 1 th abdominal tergite anterior margin, clearly visible and discontiguous in dorsal view (Fig. 6 CJ). Fore tibiae dorsally armed 3 external spines and internally unarmed. Middle tibiae dorsally with 4 internal spines (one at apical) and 2 external spines. Cercus conical and hirsute (Fig. 7F). 10th abdominal tergite partly fused with epiproct, posterior margin of 10th abdominal tergite with a broadly round notch at the joint (Fig. 7F). Subgenital plate wider than length, middle of posterior margin with a deep angle concave (Fig. 7G). Ovipositor shorter than hind femora, distinctly upcurved (Fig. 7H). Coloration. Body laterally and dorsally generally dark brown, with whitish gray and dark green marmoration, ventrally mint green. Lower and hind margin of pronotum lateral lobes whitish gray with dark brown spots. Tegmina orange. Spines of each leg black. Male cercus inner tooth black. Ovipositor apical part black. Measurements(mm). Body (from head to tip of abdomen): ♂ 17.47, ♀ 20.60; pronotum: ♂ 5.04, ♀ 5.66; tegmina: ♂ 5.17, ♀ 2.73; mirror of right tegmina (from fore to hind): ♂ 2.66; fore femora: ♂ 6.00, ♀ 6.57; middle femora: ♂ 6.56, ♀ 7.45; hind femora: ♂ 17.60, ♀ 20.54; fore tibiae: ♂ 6.90, ♀ 7.66; middle tibiae: ♂ 7.62, ♀ 8.20; hind tibiae: ♂ 17.60, ♀ 20.54; male titillators (straight-line distance from base to end): 2.24; ovipositor: 12.67. Material examined. Holotype: ♂, Inside crevices on rock cliff of Baishi Mountain, Baishishan town, Laiyuan country, Baoding city, Hebei Province, China (114°41’41.56”E, 39°12‘16.94”N, alt. 1600m), 11-viii-2019, leg. Michael Lee. Paratype: 1♀, same data as in holotype. Remarks. The new species differ from Ptosoproctus lanzhouensis sp. nov. by: stridulatory file on male tegmina with less teeth; male 10th abdominal tergite posterior membranous projection strongly down-folded, with a gourdshaped median longitudinal furrow; male cercus inner tooth recurved and slightly incurve, apical part suddenly narrowly; male subgenital plate with a deeper triangular excision; titillators with longer apical arms, basal arms nearly right-angle curve; female ovipositor short and slightly curved, upper edge of apical part without wrinkles. Songs. The adults make calling songs at night. The song consists of echemes with syllables. Each echeme consist three syllables, echeme duration for 110–190 ms, echeme interval for 420–470 ms. Each syllable duration for 10–20 ms. Short syllables interval last for 10–15 ms. Etymology. The specific epithet is named after Baishi Mountain, the type locality. Distribution. China (Hebei). Known only from the type locality. Biology. This species inhabits Mt. Baishi’s steep marble cliff-face at around 1600m altitude. Type materials are collected from crevices on the cliff face, of which their body color well camouflaged against. A final-instar female nymph was also found (Fig. 9F). The collector returned to Mt. Baishi in mid-September 2021 to collect more material but returned in no avail, suggesting adult of the species may be short-lived due to Mt. Middle part of 10 th abdominal tergite with a pair of obtuse lobes on posterior margin, furrow between lobes narrowly. Epiproct hidden under 10 th abdominal tergite lobes. Cercus hirsute, broad and flat, subbasal part with a raised ruffle; apex short and obtuse; inner margin most part with a broad inner tooth; inner tooth lager and wide, strongly recurved; inner margin near straight, outer margin arcuate; apical part suddenly narrow with an acute apex. Subgenital plate length slightly shorter than width, with lateral carinae, middle part of posterior margin with a triangular excision, styli short (Fig. 11C). Titillators broad at basal arms; apical arms outer margin bearing two rows denticles, with obtuse apex (Fig. 11E). Female. Tegmina brachypterous, extending to 1 th abdominal tergite anterior margin, almost invisible in dorsal view (Fig. 10 GH). Cercus conical and pileous. Posterior margin of 10 th abdominal tergite with a median narrow notch (Fig. 11F). 7 th abdominal sternite with a strong round hump. Subgenital plate wider than length, with a median hourglass hump, middle of posterior margin with a deep angle concave (Fig. 11G). Ovipositor shorter than hind femora, distinctly upcurved (Fig. 11H). Coloration. Body laterally and dorsally generally whitish gray and yellowish, with dark brown or black marmoration, ventrally whitish. Eyes white with dark brown spots. Lower and hind margin of pronotum lateral lobes whitish gray with dark brown spots. Tegmina orange with dark brown spots. Spines of fore and middle leg black, hind leg spines black at apex, hind femora middle part with a black spot on both sides. Male cercus inner tooth black. Ovipositor apical part black. Variations. Very few individual bodies laterally and dorsally generally reddish orange, except the black spot on hind femora middle part, without distinctly spots. Measurements(mm). Material examined. 2♂ 1♀, Beiwudang National Park, Dawukou District, Shizuishan city, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, China (106°19'52.70"E, 39°3'7.48"N, alt. 1223m), 7-vii-2020, leg. Tong Lou. Remarks. Eulithoxenus emeljanovi differs from Eulithoxenus mongolica (Uvarov, 1928) by: posterior margin of male 10 th abdominal tergite with a pair of obtuse lobes, which have an extremely narrow furrow; male cercus broad and flat, apex short and obtuse, inner margin most part with a broad inner tooth; posterior margin of female 7 th abdominal sternite without notch. Based on the photos of type specimen in OSF and description of E. mongolica (Cigliano et al. 2021; Storozhenko 2004; Uvarov 1928), male 10 th abdominal tergite concave widely and without lobes; male cercus slightly incurved, inner tooth near the apex, short and acute, directed obliquely towards the base; posterior margin of female 7 th abdominal sternite with a notch. We concluded that the two species may not belong to the same genus, and furthermore specimens need to be checked to find out their relationships. Songs. The adults make calling songs at night. The song consists of echemes with syllables. Each echeme consist two syllables, echeme duration for 80–100 ms, echeme interval for 240–300 ms. Each syllable duration for 30–50 ms, syllables interval for 10–20 ms. Distribution. 2.1 Hexacentrus formosanus Chen et He sp. nov. Figs. 2–7 Holotype: male, Kantoushan, Dongshan District, Tainan City, Taiwan, 17-viii-2019, coll. Po-Wei Chen. Paratype: 2 males & 1 female, other data same as holotype. Type specimens were deposited in National Museum of Natural Science, Taichung, Taiwan (NMNS). Male: Body medium-sized. Antenna segments with alternate short dark bands apically. Fastigium of vertex compressed laterally, dorsally narrow, apex rounded from lateral view (Fig. 2A), acute from dorsal view (Fig. 2B). Fastigium of vertex separated from frons by a furrow. Eyes globular (Fig. 2A). Pronotum saddle-shaped, longer than broad and extending posteriorly; dorsal anterior margin slightly concave (Fig. 2A); disk dorsally depressed between second and third transversal sulcus, surface with a spoon-shaped mark, the margin smooth or constricted at transverse sulcus; posterior margin broadly rounded, very slightly concaved (Fig. 2B), ventral margins of lateral lobes incline downwards, anterior angle obtuse, posterior angle rounded. Fore femora genicular lobes armed with a single spine on the inner side, outer side unarmed; middle femora genicular lobes armed with a single spine on both inner and outer side; hind femora genicular lobes armed with two spines on both inner and outer side. Fore and middle femora unarmed ventrally; hind femora ventrally armed with several small spins. Tegmina broad and long, reaching middle of middle tibiae, slightly inflated transversally (Fig. 3,4). MA veins curved upward, with 7 branches. Rs veins arised from 2/3 part of R vein. Hind wing shorter than tegmen. Stridulatory vein short, curved at the left side end, with about 30 teeth, two distinctly enlarged in the middle. Teeth distance subequal except for the two enlarged in the middle (Fig. 2D). Cu2 vein of left tegmen curved and slender, spectrum slender and rectangular (Fig. 2C). Ninth abdominal tergite with notch V-shaped; 10 th abdominal tergite with a shallow notch. Supra-anal plate triangular with medium groove at base. Cercus robust at base, inner middle with a slight projection; apical third finger-shaped and curved inwards; apex acute, slightly curved downward (Fig. 2E). Subgenital plate long with a medium longitudinal groove, lateral ridge well developed, posterior margin with a rounded excision; styli long and slender, almost as long as subgenital plate (Fig. 2F). Female: Pronotum dorsally flat; tegmina reaching tip of meta femora, slightly suppassing or not reaching tip of ovipositor. Cerci conical, apex acute, slightly curved inward (Fig. 2G). Subgenital plate wide, triangle, apex rounded, slightly concave. Ovipositor dagger shaped, nearly straight and robust, slightly decurved at base, apex acute (Fig. 2H). Coloration: Overall green when alive. Antennal scape pink or yellow. Dorsal band brown with dark brown and yellow margin. Female dorsal part of tegmina dark brown. Tibia color variable from pink to greenish yellow (Fig. 4,5). Base of tibia spines, pretarsus and apical tarsal pads dark brown in both sexes. Song: Songs include two parts. The first part includes continually pulses without interval. The second part repeats with 12–13 cycles in one minute. It contains 1.635± 0.343s duration with first half loud and 3.158± 0.358s interval, but duration gradually decreased in the whole song. Comparison: This species is similar to H. expansus Wang & Shi, 2005 and H. inflatissimus Gorochov & Warchalowska-Sliwa, 1999, but differs from the former species by 1) male file of left tegmina shorter; 2) spectrum of male left tegmina slender and rectangular; 3) male Cu2 vein of left tegmina curved and slender; and differs from the latter species by 1) body smaller; 2) female tegmina narrow and shorter. Measurements (in mm): Male: SZ 37.17–39.10, PR 8.50–9.29, FW 29.60–31.69, HF 19.96–20.80; Female: SZ 34.02–37.69, PR 6.50–6.55, FW 26.89–29.91, HF 22.47–22.58, OV 15.34–15.75. Habitat: This species can be found in mountains areas under around 1000m above sea level in the west part of Taiwan, males can be heard stridulating in dense vegetations by the edge of laurel forest (Fig. 6). Etymology: The name formosanus refers to the island of Formosa, a former name of Taiwan. Note: This species was included in Matsumura (1931) and Kato (1932) but was misidentified as Hexacentrus munda Walker in both papers. In our field observations, calling males are usually ~10 meters away from each other, but additional males can sometimes be found near a calling male (Po-Wei Chen, personal experience). In an incident, a male with left front and middle legs missing were found within 30cm from a calling male. The remaining left front and middle coxae were darkened, indicating that the loss of limbs occurred some time previously. Sichuana feicui He sp. nov. (Figs. 1 A–C; 3; 5A, C) Holotype: male, CHINA, Sichuan, Mao county, N 31°40′54″, E 103°50′59″, Alt. 2000 m, 20-vii-2020, coll. He Zhu-Qing. (depository: East China Normal University, China) Paratypes: 15 males & 6 females, same data as holotype. Description. Male. Very similar to S. cryptospina in morphology. Head frons flat, slightly oblique (Fig. 1A, B). Fastigium of vertex almost as wide as the scape of antenna. Eyes round and projecting outward. Anterior margin of pronotum concaved and posterior margin blunt, median sulcus distinctly M-shaped, lateral carina distinct in metazona, faintly indicated in prozona; lateral lobes longer than deep, with humeral sinus. Prosternum with a pair of slender spiniform processes. Mesosternum with a pair of triangular lobe-shaped processes, nearly equal in length to width (Fig. 3J). Metasternum with a pair of obtuse triangular lobe-shaped processes, broader than long (Fig. 3J). Tegmina expanded with longitudinal and cross veins, twice as long as pronotum (Fig. 1A, B). Dorsal field as wide as the disc of metazona from basic to middle, then gradually narrow distad (Fig. 3G). Lateral field broadened and deep (Fig. 3H). Mirror on right tegmina, little longer than wide (Fig. 3G). Hind wings short than pronotum (Fig. 3I). Fore femora unarmed, fore tibiae dorsally armed 3 external spines and internal unarmed, ventrally with 6 pair of spines. Middle femora unarmed, middle tibiae dorsally with 4 internal spines and 2 external spines, ventrally with 6 pair of spines. Hind femora dorsally unarmed, ventrally with 6 spinules on inner side and 3 on outside; hind tibiae dorsally with 22-27 spines on both side and 1 pair of apical spurs, ventrally with 6-9 spines on both sides and 2 pair of apical spurs. Tenth abdominal tergite concaved in the middle and pileous (Fig. 3A). Cercus conical, incurved at apical part, apices blunt, basal area with a spiniform inner tooth placed (Fig. 3A). Subgenital plate length longer than width, with lateral carinae, middle part of posterior margin with a deep triangular excision (Fig. 3B). Titillators with long apical portions bearing numerous denticles (Fig. 3C). Female. Tegmina shorter than pronotum (Fig. 1C). Hind wings as long as tegmina. Cercus conical and pileous (Fig. 3E). Posterior margin of tenth abdominal tergum with a wide round projection, apical with a notch (Fig. 3E). Subgenital plate nearly trapezoid, wider than longer, middle of posterior margin concaved (Fig. 3F). Ovipositor shorter than hind femora, slightly decurved at apical part (Fig. 3D) Coloration. Body generally brown and green (Fig. 1 A, B). Head brown, but face nearly yellow. Upper half of compound eyes yellow and lower half brown. Labrum and clypeus brownish red. Disk of pronotum and upper half of lateral lobe of pronotum brown. Lower half of lateral lobe of pronotum white. Dorsal field of male tegmen brown, lateral part of male tegmen green with white longitudinal veins. Female tegmen brown in dorsal field and green in lateral field. Dorsal abdominal tergum brown. Cercus brown. Legs dark brown with black spots on upper half and black vertical stripes on outside (Fig. 5A). Ovipositor brown. Etymology. The specific epithet feicui is for Chinese phonetic alphabets ËẸ, which is Chinese jade with green color. feicui is used for the species name for emphasis on its green color. Songs. The calling song of this species is stereotyped and constant. There are about eleven chirps per minute. Chirp cycle duration is 4.723± 0.688 s. In each chirp, there is a short beginning (0.5 s), and then followed by the rest. In wild, we found that after a male began singing, others would follow him. When one male stops singing, others would also stop after two or three chirps. Distribution. Mao county, Sichuan Province, China. This new species is distributed in the northeast area of Wenchuan, where S. cryptospina is distributed (Fig. 4).

Similar to N. suphattra, but differs in the shape of male cercus having an additional slender spine, and the shape of female subgenital plate which bears a pair of triangular lobes posteriorly. Description. Male. Head: antennae very long, eyes small; fastigium verticis conical but step-like inclined in circa half of length, with lateral ocelli projecting laterad, apex sub-obtuse (Fig. 2B), dorsal surface with a tubercle near base, ventral surface with medial carinula, numerous irregular tubercles beneath the antennal scrobe forming a transverse carina each side; frons rugose and pubescent (Fig. 2A, B, D). Pronotum rugose and sub-pubescent, regularly curved from one side to the other, transverse sulcus not clear on disc or lateral lobes, anterior margin broadly rounded, slightly protruding in middle, posterior margin concave, lateral lobe longer than deep, ventral margin subsinuate, anterior angle rounded, posterior angle circa rectangular but angle itself rounded, humeral sinus absent (Fig. 1A & 2A). Tegmen micropterous (Fig. 2A); prosternum unarmed, meso- and metasternal lobes rounded (Fig. 2C). Legs setose and pubescent, fore and middle femora compressed and broadened, fore femur with spines on both margins of ventral surface; middle- and hind femora armed on ventro-external margin; genicular lobes of fore and middle femora rounded externally, spinose on internal margin, tympana present on both sides, shield-like (Fig. 2E); femora with the following number of spines on ventral margins: fore femur 4 external, 4 internal, middle femur 5 external, 0 internal, hind femur 7~8 external, fore tibia 8 external, 8 internal, middle tibia 5~9 external, 0 internal, hind tibia 1 (tiny) external, 0 internal, 7~9 external and internal spines on dorsal margin, with external ones smaller. Abdomen: tenth abdominal tergite triangular with apex bi-spinose (Fig. 2F); apex of subgenital plate extended into two long parallel projections (Fig. 2H), cerci conical, apex obtuse, downward curved, with a small spinule in inner side (Fig. 2F, G). Female: similar to male but squamipterous (Fig. 1B, C & 3A), tegmina laterally situated and never interlaced (Fig. 3B ~E). Tenth abdominal tergite faintly extended in the central of posterior edge, slightly bilobate in terminal. Epiproct rounded-triangular. Cerci conical, apex pointed (Fig. 3F, G). Subgenital plate dorsally curved from one side to another, central one-third of width elevated ventrally and extended posteriorly but deeply notched in the middle resulting a pair of triangular lobes produced (Fig. 3F, G). Ovipositor elongate and gently upcurved in apical two third; margins smooth, dorsal valves furrowed laterally (Fig. 3H, I). Coloration. Brown with irregular white or yellow spots (Fig. 1A). Frons black including fastigium frontis, antennal scrobe, otherwise red to yellow towards mandibles, mandibles brown, palpi yellow, compound eyes yellow in dorsal and black in ventral (Fig. 2D), pronotum black in disc and yellow in paranota, tegmen: veins in dorsal field green and veins in lateral field yellow (Fig. 1A, C), ventro-internal lobes of middle and hind coxae white (Fig. 2C), hind femur with a large black spot followed by a long, whitish ring, ovipositor brownish in the base and the remainder darker. Dorsal areas of fore- middle- and hind femur and middle and hind tibiae with green pattern, seen best when alive (Fig. 1A). Measurements (in mm). Male pronotum relatively longer than that of female. Female subgenital plate transverse with sclerotised lateral and membranous central parts as described in Ingrisch (Fig. 6G). Coloration. Brown to yellow and green. More or less brown irregular spots on tegmen (Fig. 5A, B). Nymph yellow with lateral side brown from head, pronotum to abdomen (Fig. 5C). Measurements. Male: body 28.08���28.51, pronotum 11.68���12.14, tegmen 14.83���17.07, postfemur 18.11���19.63; Female: body 24.24���25.43, pronotum 9.13���10.28, tegmen 17.20���19.62, postfemur 17.92���20.36, ovipositor 15.94���16.42. Biology. This species is common and widely distributed in Hainan. An adult was observed feeding on stamens or gynoecium in field survey. Liara (Acanthocoryphus) brevis Ingrisch, 1998 (Fig. 4) Material: 1 nymph, CHINA, Hainan, Qiongzhong, Wuzhishan, 22-iii-2019, coll. HE Zhu-Qing, emergence in v- 2019 (ECNU). Diagnosis. No morphological differences between Chinese and Vietnamese individuals including male cercus, tympana and other features (Fig. 4D ~F) have been observed. Apex of fastigium verticis gently bending to the left (Fig. 4B, D). Considering this individual was fed since nymph stage, no molt problem or injured made this malformation. Figures of holotype and paratype photographed by Ingrisch (OSF) also show same tendency of left bending. Thus, we believed this feature is spontaneous. Coloration. Overall colour yellow. Frons brown, mandibles black, pronotal disc with two lateral dark brown bands, variable in extension, in anterior area of disc subfused to a single band, which is split by a light line at base and interrupted by two light spots. Tegmen with brown mirror, apical field with some black spots, femora with green in dorsal area and fore femur with red in ventral area (Fig. 4A & B). Measurements. Male: body 24.40, pronotum 6.68, tegmen 6.86, postfemur 11.26. Biology. Above specimens is a small nymph collected on sedge. It was yellow with black lines from head to abdomen (Fig. 4C). It was reared on vegetables and Chinese bird feed until adult. This species is very similar to M. elongata elongata, but the new species has longer forewing and has longest ovipositor among other species (Fig. 2J). Male. Not known. Coloration. Nearly brown. Forewing yellow with brown wave pattern, and three big black spots on the base. Etymology. The species is named after the wave pattern on the forewing. Measurements (in mm). Female: SZ 87.2, PR 11.48, FW 76.33, HW 80.27, HF 59.41, OV 35.65. Distribution. China (Yunnan). Note. We found one male near the female (holotype), the color patter of forewing was similar. Unfortunately, we failed to collect it.

This species is very similar to M. hainanensis (Fig. 2D), but the forewing is parallel in lateral view (the forewing of M. hainanensis is narrow in basal half and wide in apical half in lateral view). Female. Similar to male. Ovipositor straight (Fig. 2E). Coloration. Nearly brown. 0-2 black spots on the base of forewing. In same individual, the number of the black spots on left and right wing may be different. Etymology. The name fallax is used to emphasize its similarity to M. hainanensis. Measurements (in mm). Male: SZ 59.38-74.41, PR 7.47-9.53, FW 51.60-63.30, HW 54.21-66.23, HF 38.10- 48.26; Female: SZ 67.47, PR 7.8, FW 57.3, HW 60.61, HF 48.18, OV 26.64. Distribution. China (Yunnan). Song. The song is continuous with 0.572± 0.004s cycle repeatedly (Fig. 5C). Note. This species is only found from Yunnan, China. In Mangshi (Dehong, Yunnan, China), we found this species was sympatric and synchronous with M. elongata elongata.

Frontal rostrum with obvious transverse margin, 2.5-3 times as wide as 1st antennal joint. Pronotum saddle shaped, disc narrower in front, and widened with the posterior margin arc, lateral carinae with a little convex part in the middle, tympanum on both sides of fore tibiae with same size, legs long and spination, fore femora with 2-3 interior ventral spines, fore tibiae with four lines of spines, few pairs of spines on two lines of dorsal margin, but 6-7 pairs of spines on two lines of ventral margin, no spines on middle femora, middle tibiae with four lines of spines, few pairs of spines on two lines of dorsal margin, but 6-7 pairs of spines on two lines of ventral margin, hind femora with 4-6 interior ventral spines, hind tibiae with four lines of spines, many pairs of spines on two lines of dorsal margin, but only apical half margin with spines in hind tibiae. Forewing long with obvious mirror, hindwing little longer than forewing. The length of abdomen no longer than half of forewing (Fig. 2H, Fig. 7A). Female. Similar to male, ovipositor long (only shorter than M. mamorata) and straight with apical part little upwards curved (Fig. 2I, Fig. 7B). Coloration. Nearly brown. Fore femora black and fore tibiae yellow. We checked all type specimens and found this colour contrast were very stable. 0-4 vague white spots on forewing. 3 small black spots on forewing in one individual. Etymology. The species is named after Hainan Island. Measurements (in mm). Male: SZ 56.09-60.46, PR 7.92-10.62, FW 47.54-50.76, HW 49.16-52.95, HF 38.42- 40.14; Female: SZ 61.29-63.40, PR 8.32-8.74, FW 51.76-55.95, HW 55.04-57.02, HF 45.50-48.80, OV 30.11- 33.09. Distribution. China (Hainan). Song. The first part of this species is very long, sometimes it lasts one hour in wild. The first part contains 0.66± 0.03s duration and 0.88± 0.08s interval. The second part is continuous with 0.136± 0.001s cycle repeatedly (Fig. 5D). Note. It is an endemic species in Hainan Island (Fig. 6). However, M. elongata elongata and M. niponensis are also distributed in Hainan. We suspect that these two species are spread by human activity, because we only collected them near farm, but never in natural reserve.

Pronotum saddle-shaped, disc narrower from anterior margin in 1/5, and widened gradually with the posterior margin arc, lateral lobes of pronotum deepest in middle, posterior margin oblique with central concavity, tegmen slightly shorter than length of pronotum and extending to the 5th or 6th abdominal tergum. Leg spination, fore femora with 3 interior ventral spines, middle femur with 3 external ventral spines on left and 2 on right, hind femur with 6 interior spines on outer ventral margin, fore tibiae with 4 dorsal spines on exterior margin, 6 spines on both ventral margins, middle tibiae with 6 interior spines on both margins, 2 exterior and 5 interior spines on dorsal margins, hind tibiae with 24 exterior and 21 interior spines on dorsal margins, 9 and 13 spines on ventral margins. Tenth abdominal tergite with a flat U shaped notch in median portion, cerci curved with a small apical tooth (Fig. 3E). Female similar to male, tegmina covered by pronotum, but visible from lateral, ovipositor nearly straight with dorsal margin curved in basal 1/2, and ventral margin curved in basal 1/3. Coloration. Brown, upper side of lateral lobes of pronotum black with middle brown, Sc. vein white, left tegmen with a white spot on right (Fig. 2E), ovipositor yellow. Variation. External ventral spines on middle femur ranging from 0���4, interior spines on outer ventral margin of hind femur ranging from 2���3, interior spines on dorsal margins of middle tibiae ranging from 4���5. Etymology. The new species name interval refers to the pause in the male calling song. Measurements (in mm) male: body length 29.0���30.8, pronotum length 10.8���11.0, tegmen length 9.0���10.5, hind femur length 33.3���33.9; female: body length 30.4, pronotum length 11.4, hind femur length 33.0, ovipositor length 21.7. Distribution. China (Zhejiang) Song. The trill is about 17.58s with 25.36s interval. In every trill, there are about 30 chirps. Every chirp is about 0.67s with 6 pulses (individual from Baimashan). The song of individual from Shaoxing is quit different in most parameter, but there is also a long interval between two trills as the feature of this species. Note. The new species is similar to A. (S.) fengyangensis Liu, 2013 in the shape of the cerci, but the tegmen is short. A white spot on the right of tegmen is another unique feature of this species. He Zhu-Qing. Description. Pronotum saddle-shaped, disc rectangle in 1/3, and widened gradually with the posterior margin arc, lateral lobes of pronotum deepest in middle, posterior margin oblique with central concavity, tegmen as long as pronotum and extending to the 7th or 8th abdominal tergum. Leg spination, fore femora with 2 interior ventral spines on left and 1 on right, middle femur with 1 external ventral spines, hind femur with 3 interior spines on outer ventral margin and 4 on inner ventral margin, fore tibiae with 3 dorsal spines on outer exterior margin, and 1 spine on the inner exterior margin, 6 spines on both ventral margins, middle tibiae with 3 dorsal spines on outer exterior margin, and 2 spine on the inner exterior margin, 6 ventral spines on both margins, hind tibiae with 21 exterior and 17 interior spines on dorsal margins, 7 and 9 spines on ventral margins. Tenth abdominal tergum with a small U shape notch on central, cerci curved with a small tooth in the middle (Fig. 3D). Female Nymph, similar to male, no tegmen, ovipositor nearly straight. Coloration. Brown, upper side of lateral lobes of pronotum black, head and hind femur yellow. Variation. Neither two nymphs has spine on the inner exterior margin on fore tibiae. It is unclear whether it will appear as it matures. Etymology. The name fallax is used to emphasize its similarity to A. (S.) fengyangensis Liu, 2013. Measurements (in mm) male: body length 31.2, pronotum length 11.9, tegmen length 13.6, hind femur length 32.9; female (nymph): body length 23.3, pronotum length 10.5, hind femur length 29.8, ovipositor length 22.5. Distribution. China (Zhejiang) Song. The song of this species is similar to that of A. (S.) magnificus with 0.25s chirp cycle duration. But in every chirp, 6 or 8 pulses are clearly present. Note. This new species is very similar to A. (S.) fengyangensis Liu, 2013 (Fig. 2 CD), but the new species has one more row of spines on the fore tibia. There are also differences in song and the shape of the cerci (Table 2, Fig. 3CD). The ventral surface of the abdomen is red when alive, while that of fengyangensisi is yellow or lime.
