The article presents study on effect of transplantation of human insulin-like growth factor 1-transfected umbilical cord blood neural stem cell to hypoxic-ischemic. It mentions the comparison of the neural stem cell with bromodeoxyuridine (BrdU)-positive cells, nestin- and neuron specific enolase-positive cells in neonatal rat with hypoxic-ischemia. It says that study shows the improvement of learning, memory, and motor functions of hypoxic-ischemic rats transplanted with neural stem cells.
