This dissertation is a contribution to the critic studies of the curricular structure of the undergraduate course at the Economics Institute of the University of Campinas (Unicamp). Through the analysis of the curriculum, from 1972 to 2013, we observed the way in which it was produced a progressive dissociation from the content of the course related to the tradition of Political Economy and History of the Economics and, in parallel, an increasingly approach to majors related to the conventional Economics Sciences. The investigation reveals how the undergraduate formation of the Institute of Economics, which was originally committed with the defense of industrialization as basis for the constitution of a self-determinated capitalism, according to the original thinking of the so-called "Escola de Campinas" (Campinas School), transformed, gradually, into a formation that privileges the adaptation of Brazilian economy to the requirements and impositions of the global order Mestrado História Econômica Mestre em Desenvolvimento Econômico CAPES
