Recently, a documentary called "Caught in the net" appeared in Czech cinema, which opened up the ignored topic of sexual abuse of children. So the subject of my thesis is to expand above mentioned topic. The thesis itself is divided into a theoretical part and a practical part, where the theoretical part deals with the analysis of individual sexual crimes committed against children, as defined by the third chapter of the special part of the Criminal Code. In the context of the above-mentioned documentary film "Caught in the net" - it is necessary to point out the term of cybergrooming, which is a relatively new observable way of committing a sex crime via the internet, which is related to the crime of establishing illegal contact with a child under § 193b of the Criminal Code. The facts of the case of this crime is fulfilled at the moment when the offender proposes a personal meeting to a child under fifteen years of age, in connection with the specific intention to commit the crime of sexual abuse according to § 187 par. 1 of the Criminal Code, production and other handling of child pornography according to § 192 of the Criminal Code , abuse of a child for the production of pornography pursuant to Section 193 of the Criminal Code, seduction for sexual intercourse pursuant to Section 202 (2) of the...

1 Assistance to victims of Crimes Abstract This thesis is focused on the assistance to victims of crimes. It examines the topic especially on the legal level, from various points of view. It deals with the assistance to victims in terms of legislation, mainly domestic, but also foreign, then it examines the application of legislation in practice and further it analyzes the findings while including suggestions for possible improvement. The goal of this thesis is to evaluate the Victims of Crime Act, whether its written form or its application in practice and to propose possible amendments in order to improve the role of the victim, which is after all an unwritten purpose of the Victims of Crime Act. This thesis is divided to an introduction, five separate chapters and a conclusion. In its first chapter, the thesis is focused on the person of the victim, purely from the point of view of the legislation. It defines direct and indirect victim, as well as particularly vulnerable victim. Finally it describes differences between a victim and an injured party. Domestic violence - comparisson of Czech ane U. S. legal regulation Abstract The aim of the thesis is to introduce legal regulation of domestic violence in Czech Republic and in the United States of America including mutual comparison. The body of this thesis is divided into three main segments. The first segment defines the issue of domestic violence through characterizing its typical signs, forms and cycle. The second segment focuses on domestic violence in the Czech Republic with concise overview of the current legislation, forms of protection against domestic violence provided by the private law (especially the legislation within the Civil Code and the Act on Special Judicial Procedures). Following is the introduction to legislation on protection from domestic violence as defined in the Criminal Law. As it is not possible to subsume the phenomenon of domestic violence under a singular substance of criminal offense, the scope of this segment includes analysis of a variety of such substances that are applicable during criminal offense investigation. Protection of Victims of Crime Abstract This diploma thesis deals with the issue of protection of victims of crime. The first chapter is focused on victimology - a branch of criminology that scientifically studies the relationship between a victim and an offender. This chapter also deals with various historical and current approaches in victimology. The partial goal of this chapter is to provide an overview of the theoretical background, which should provide the reader with a basis for understanding the position of victims, protection of victims and their role in criminal proceedings, which are discussed in the following chapters. The second chapter deals with the phenomenon of the victim of crime. This chapter analyzes the concept of the victim of crime, compares the definition of the victim in the law of the Czech Republic and in the law of the European Union. It also deals with society's response to crime, the relationship between society and the victim, and some misconceptions about the so-called ideal victim. Domestic violence in the Czech Republic and Poland - comparative study Abstract The following thesis deals with the topic of the domestic violence especially from the point of view of substantive law. The thesis compares the legislation in the Czech Republic and Poland. The aim of the thesis is to find out how the legislators of those two countries can inspire each other and what are the differences in the legislations of those two countries. The topic of the domestic violence is still very current and therefore I think it is very important to seek for new ways how to fight the problem. In my opinion it is possible to find new solutions by having look into the legislation of another country. The thesis consists of five chapters. The first chapter explains the concept of the domestic violence its features and forms. It also says how the phenomenon of the domestic violence is perceived by the people in those two countries. The injured party and his procedural rights in Czech criminal proceedings Abstract: The subject of this paper is the injured party and his procedural rights in current Czech criminal proceedings. The aim of this paper is to depict the victims' position comprehensively, with an emphasis on their procedural rights in criminal proceedings. The systematics of the text is chosen in such a way, so that individual situations in which the concerned persons end up and their related rights follow as far as possible chronologically. The first chapter is concerned with defining the basic concepts and also with sources of the relevant legal regulation. Afterwards, the paper contains the description of the period from committing the crime to the criminal proceedings, mainly from the victims' point of view. Firstly, some statistic data is given to illustrate the likelihood of victimization in the Czech Republic, followed by an enumeration of lawful reaction to it. The list of places, where the victim can find help and support, is mentioned as well as the description of the possible entrances to the criminal proceedings.
