This paper aims to present a simulation study for methods and topologies of the wireless power transfer (WPT) on Static and Dynamic Wireless Electric Vehicles Charging Systems (S-WEVCS and D-WEVCS respectively), in the fundamental performance parameters of these systems. This study is based on the results of the simulation models for the mainly used method and the relatively used topologies. From this simulation will be extracted design recommendations. This paper attempts to provide a detailed simulation approach of a wireless power transfer (WPT) system on Electric Vehicles (EVs) Charging for research and educational purposes. The simulation is based on coupled magnetic resonance technology, which power can be transferred via coupled magnetic resonances in the non-radiative near-field. A simplified power transfer system topology is proposed and implemented. Mathematical analysis and simulation of the proposed charging system is carried out. Based on this topology, the counter-electromotive force (counter EMF, CEMF) in the receiving coil related with constant transfer distance and driving frequency was simulated and analyzed. Through the simulation analysis of the wireless charging system specific design recommendations are provided and significant conclusions are derived. This paper attempts to provide a review of wireless charging technologies suitable for electric vehicles (EVs) charging. Inductive Power Transfer (IPT) and strongly coupled magnetic resonance technologies are chosen for detailed review. Different cases of WPT technologies, their principle of operation and equivalent circuit based analysis is carried out. Compensation strategies and their effectiveness are reviewed. Design trends of coil systems for electric cars have been referenced. In addition, this paper presents special issues related to WPT and EV applications, the shielding methods, the Solar Power Satellite (SPS), the Roadway Powered Electric Vehicles (RPEVs) and the Online Electric Vehicles (OLEVs). Finally, recommendations and conclusions are made, based on the study and analysis of the available literature showing the trends on the wireless power transfer of EVs. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
