The article discusses a study which aims to emphasize the importance of traditional African methods of imparting information to rural dwellers to sustain their overall development. It recognizes the information seeking behavior of people accustomed to an oral tradition which involves information being stored in the memories of the people, the manner used in providing information, and the use of phrasing and repetition.
