The article chronicles the 2012 Cape Verde spring and summer season for the boat crew aboard Dreamin' On, a 78-foot Garlington, on the 9th year of its world tour to be the catch-and-release king of blue marlin. After its Pacific tour and a retrofit at its Orange Beach, Alabama home port, the boat with Capt. Randy Hodgekiss and its crew logged 178 blue marlin releases in 31 days of fishing at Cape Verde. It ends the year fishing the Canaries, Madeira and Portugal to log a 200-release season.
