The article presents a study the molted-feather persistence and sub-Arctic environment aging using noninvasive genetic sampling. The study was carried out from June 2005 to June 2007 in Igakslugwat Hills on the Yukon Delta National Wildlife Refuge in Alaska and gathered the feathers utilized in the experiment from molting confined Gyrfalcons and a Gyrfalcon-Peregrine Falcon hybrid. The study reveals that 14% of experimental feathers stayed at experimental sites after as year and were discovered during primary searches wherein the mean length of feathers are more than the mean length placed feathers.
