Chapter 8 of the book "Everyday Life: Revolutionary War" is presented. It focuses on several unsung heroes of the eighteenth century American Revolutionary War against the British rule including sergeant Ezra Lee, Baron Friedrich Wilhelm Ludolf Gerhard Augustin von Steuben, and Sybil Ludington. It is informed that while Lee tried to sink a British ship with the help of a submarine, Ludington rode about 40 miles to warn people in Massachusetts about British troops' advances.

Role of colonial shopkeeper Samuel Adams in organizing the colonists against British rule and the Boston Massacre event of 1770 are discussed. Impact of the Boston Port Act of 1774 on the colonists is also elaborated.
