The article presents information on the announcement of Drivetrain Marine's, the exclusive distributor for Newage PRM Marine Transmissions in Australia, introduction of the PRM 1750, its highest capability marine gearbox to date. With a maximum torque capacity of l,750 Nm, the IRM 1750 is suitable for engines rated at up to 457 kW and is available in both shallow or deep gearcase configurations. It has clutched power take-off options, enabling to meet the widest variety of commercial and pleasure workboat applications. It utilizes maintenance-free, self-adjusting, oil-operated multi-disc clutches for reliability and in-service performance, and allows maximum input torque to be transmitted continuously in either direction at speeds of up to 2,500 rev/min.
