The article reports that an Australian company has developed a way to make aluminum foam with evenly sized cells. The Metcomb Nanostructures technique controls viscosity of the molten aluminum, thus dictating the size of bubbles that form within it. The process results in an energy-absorbing material claimed to be strong, light, noise-absorbing and 100-percent recyclable.
