Abstract

The article presents the English translation of the speech by People's Republic of China President Hu Jintao, delivered at the opening ceremony of the World Media Summit (WMS), held on October 8-10, 2010 in Beijing, China. He spoke about the summit's theme, "Cooperation, Action, Win-Win and Development." He also gave suggestions to the world media in facing the unprecedented opportunities and challenges brought by the trend of the times.
