Purpose: The changes on the dynamics of the working world and have met certain limits of the human being, bringing the imperative of studies on topics such as stress, especially that arising from work. This research aimed to analyze how the occupational stress of young workers assisted by ESPRO (Vocational Social Education) in the city of Belo Horizonte (MG) in 2010 and 2019 is configured. Design/methodology/approach: The research is descriptive-quantitative research through of case study. Data collection was performed through structured questionnaires and the data were submitted to Exploratory Factor Analysis and comparison of medians. Research, Practical & Social implications: The occupational stress perceived by the youth approached in 2010 was higher than that shown in 2019. Despite the instability in Brazil's political and economic situation in recent years, the data indicate that young people are less stressed than before. Originality/value: Among the studied constructs, there was an improvement in mental health, physical health and in the factors of pressure and dissatisfaction, and there was also a decrease in the use of strategies to combat stress, while the stress propensity of these young people remained balanced.
