Abstract

The Radboud University Library in Nijmegen is a partner of the Einbanddatenbank (EBDB) in the Berlin Staatsbibliothek - Preussischer Kulturbesitz. Nijmegen records are being entered into this database of decorative tools of fifteenth- and sixteenth-century bookbindings. On the basis of a Nijmegen bookbinding it is shown how to search the EBDB for decorative tools and eventually to identify bookbinders. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
